TheOptical Field Engineer will support optical deployment infrastructure in DCs (data centers), Points of Presence (POPs), remote ILAs and physical site services.

TheOptical Field Engineer will coordinate with Network teams as well as local vendors for installation, repair, and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical audit, installation, migration, configuration, reconfiguration, testing, troubleshooting, fiber cabling, remediation, upgrades, space & power, commissioning, decommissioning, develop MOP, reverse logistics, Smart hand (maintenance) activities as directed with meticulous attention to driving and maintaining the highest quality standards in the telecommunications industry.
  • Perform card adds or replacements, associated testing, and RMA process.
  • Perform OTDR and data solving ISP/OSP fiber infrastructure issues.
  • Provide site survey support for OPS and ISP projects, as well as large space & power and /or equipment deployments. 
  • Perform site audits and reconcile data discrepancies in coordination with Engineering Network Services and other groups, as necessary.
  • Work with the vendors working on behalf of the customer to ensure compliance with installation, repair, maintenance MOPs and standards, as well as quality and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with Edge optical deployment support team and other cross functional teams to facilitate timely installation, repair, and maintenance activities, as necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating site access, equipment staging, and other tasks.
  • Recommend improvements to processes that may impact the quality of FB network assets or improve overall efficiencies for any related process or system.

Role Description: 

The AV Project Coordinator will plan and coordinate aspects of audio visual projects from initiation to delivery. Working as AV Operations & Procurement Coordinator you will be a central part of a team delivering industry-leading audiovisual systems installations. Advising and closely coordinating with others, including the project managers, design engineers and bench engineers, you will be part of the team delivering first-class installations in an economical and timely manner. 

You will be supported by, and be working closely with multiple parties including colleagues in managed services, project management, systems design and project engineering teams, and our commissioning engineers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of AV and VC equipment globally.

  • Have a major input to the success of a project and play a pivotal role in the future success of the company. 

  • Take ownership of the delivery of the AV equipment procurement and logistics process, while analysing, documenting and implementing best practises from experience and lessons learned.

  • Take ownership of our integration partnership programme and maintain relationships with all global partners to reduce costs, improve response times and implement customer satisfaction surveys.

  • Play a managing role in deploying in house audio visual resources globally and maintaining allocation of resources tracking documentation.

  • Manage contractual cover allocation for all our active managed services engagements globally

 

Main Duties:

  • Work with the sales and design teams to calculate lead times and cost of equipment and delivery for each project.

  • Reach out to prospective manufacturers and suppliers to build relationships and add them to our list of partners.

  • Work with the project managers to arrange procurement and delivery schedules to best suit the proposed project timeline.

  • Receive engineer support requests from the project managers and work with the regional engineering SDMs to allocate in house engineering resources.

Our Global Vice President of Human Resources will lead a global team of over 25 HR professionals providing support to over 2,000+ employees around the globe within 34 countries.

Our Global VP of HR is responsible for all aspects of global human resource policy, practices, operations, and strategy. The role oversees all aspects within rewards & recognition, employee relations, compensation & benefits management, performance management, equity administration, organizational design and development, and succession planning.

Key Leadership Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as senior advisor, counsel, and confidante to the executive members and their department leaders on all aspects of human resources.
  • Work closely with the executive staff and board of director to similarly align executive compensation.
  • Work with President and the Board of Directors on executive development and succession planning.
  • Provide the appropriate day-to-day tactical and strategic support to help the business and support people leaders run their respective areas effectively.
  • Lead appropriate global talent strategy that allows the company to scale, including leadership and employee development, assessment, learning, performance management, identification of high potential talent and evaluation, and succession planning company wide.
  • Partner in the development of business plans and ensure that the company has the talent and commitment necessary to achieve its business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and execute an appropriate total rewards strategy that enables the company to hire, develop, retain, and reward top talent and meet/exceed strategic and operating objectives.

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, high quality Global HR programs in tech companies of 2000+ employees with multiple international locations.

Scope: 

  • Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through department managers within the company.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and cultivate strong partnerships with senior leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution to ensure a high-performing, engaged workforce

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • 10+ years of HR/HRBP leadership experience within EMEA region to include roles of increasing complexity and scope.

  • Over all experience must include a minimum of 5+ years leading HR functions in an HRBP model.

  • HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Workday HCM strongly preferred

  • Previous demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert to include direct experience in coaching and development, organizational design, talent management, benefits and compensation.

  • Extensive experience influencing business leaders individually and collectively. You have courage to propose solutions others are reluctant to address, act in the face of resistance and advocate for the best interests of the organization
