Compensation: 100k+

Location: Atlanta-based (3-4 days/week in office)

Role Description:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of property accounting for our client's managed properties. Properties range in size from single-tenant assets to office buildings and grocery-anchored shopping centers.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of real estate accounting experience (retail or office real estate
    required)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and managerial skills
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task while achieving deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and accounting standards in general
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in Yardi accounting software, Quickbooks and Excel is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Manage 6+ person team including property accounting, A/P, A/R and lease administration
  • Maintain/close the books and prepare financial reporting for a small portfolio for top tier clients
  • Work closely with VP of Property Management and new clients to establish financials and
    accounting process.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations, financial reports and maintain general accuracy of
    financial data prepared by property accountants.
  • Assist property accountants with budgeting, variance explanations, operating expense
    reconciliations, etc.
  • Prepare lender draws and lender reporting for top tier clients
  • Oversee/coordinate banking activity including bank access, ACH set up for rent receipt,
    mortgage payments, owner distributions, etc.
  • Work with senior management to develop/implement ERP systems including Yardi and Avid
    Exchange
  • Work with our clients’ CPAs on an as needed basis and assist with year-end tax
    preparation requests
