Job Description

Integrated Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting all calendarized programs that integrates cross-functional marketing efforts for Cineplex, Cineplex VIP, The Rec Room and Playdium brands. Identify regional, and local high impact, attendance driving opportunities and initiatives, and leverage regional marketing toolkits to amplify calendarized programs.

Leverage Cineplex and SCENE databases to gain insights into consumer purchase behaviour to help develop marketing and communication plans to help develop targeted marketing and communication plans, and post-campaign reporting

Support and manage internal and external partners from French adaption, and creative services to media, assisting with ad hoc media relations local support.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • 2 - 4 years of marketing experience. 
  • Ability to follow a proper creative and media brief protocol and oversee budgets
  • Experience developing strategic promotions and marketing communication plans

Job Description

The Art Director leads a team of designers and provides leadership on all design deliverables, creating promotions from initial concept to completion. Works closely with the Creative Director, generating clear ideas and concepts that deliver on client briefs. Uses experience and artistic ability to relay key messaging to customers in a visually compelling, experiential way.

  • Oversee the creative team, with accountability for processes, workflows and project timelines. Provide estimated hours for creatives time/efforts on each project to ensure profitability and that timesheets are submitted.
  • Brainstorm, create storyboards & layouts based on creative vision and ideas. Present creative ideas to client in a clear and engaging way through in person and written pitches
  • Provide leadership and input on layouts and versioning. Review & approve all creative elements and provide direction to development teams
  • Work closely with other designers to help grow and mentor the design team

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Motion design and/or Graphic Design
  • Multimedia design or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with portfolio showcasing examples of Art Direction, original concept development and executional capabilities
  • Minimum 8 years graphic design experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a motion designer role

What The Role Is:

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive VP Exhibition & LBE, Senior VP National Operations, and two VPs National Operations 

  • Manage and maintain Outlook Calendars, coordinate travel, and complete expense reports 

  • Coordinate onsite/offsite meetings and activities including Agendas, materials, AV, logistics, and catering 

  • Oversee logistics and planning of an annual large-scale 3-day conference, including organizing events, venue coordination, managing budget and invoices, and connecting with Executive VP Exhibition & LBE and Senior VP National Operations, planning committee, and regional teams  

  • Assist in coordinating schedule and logistics for annual Road Show and theatre visits throughout the year

Job Description

The Risk Management Department at our Home Office in Toronto is currently recruiting for the position of Internal Auditor, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Audit.  

The Internal Auditor’s role is to provide assurance and consulting services to add value and improve operations at Cineplex Entertainment by evaluating and improving corporate risks and compliance.  The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting internal audits, testing the effectiveness of internal controls, evaluating findings and providing recommendations to stakeholders.  

What The Role Is:

 

  • Plan and perform audits and other assurance and consulting engagements consistent with Internal Auditing professional practice standards;  

  • Assist with reviewing, evaluating and documenting internal control processes and presenting and reporting to management audit findings and practical recommendations aimed at improving control weaknesses and inefficiencies;  

  • Conduct reviews of policies and procedures and identify any gaps and risk; 

  • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with the Risk Management team and process owners to encourage communication and commitment to problem solving, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation;  

  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing learning and developing audit skills;  

  • Assist with the preparation of other risk-based projects as assigned by the Manager, Corporate Audit, including mapping and scoping of new process flows through acquisitions; 

  • Evaluating and improving Operations (i.e. theatre, Rec Room, Playdium) risks and compliance; and, 

  • Assist with theatre or site audits, monthly audits and investigations as required. 

Qualifications

What You Need for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or enrolment and pursuit of an accreditation towards an accounting or audit certification (CPA, CIA or CISA) is required. 

  • Experience in internal or external audit would be an asset. 

  • Work experience in a Finance/Accounting role would be an asset. 

  • Work experience in a theatre/retail/hospitality environment.

The Software Developer is primarily responsible for designing, coding and unit testing software solutions whether custom designed to meet specific customer requirements or to fulfill CDM’s product platform strategy and roadmap.  As such, the software developer is a subject matter expert on the computer languages and tool chains required to product new or to enhance existing consumer facing web and interactive applications, server and application software solutions.

Job Description

­­­The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a trusted advisor to Cineplex Digital Media's (CDM) customers providing technical guidance for their CDM Solution, infrastructure, on-going projects and current support issues; all while focusing on their operational and development systems. The TAM will provide a vital role in supporting customer's current and future environments, while keeping their success and satisfaction as a key business driver.

Acting in an efficient manner, the TAM will manage a pool of customers and will cover all aspects of the technical needs of CDM customers. The TAM will span the lifecycle of the customer including providing pre-sales support to the sales organization, managing the implementation and Trafficking of customer systems, coordinating deployment aspects of the customer solutions, monitoring contract compliance, ensuring Service Level Performance, monitoring and analyzing solution performance trends, representing the customer within the CDM Change Management process, managing and escalating major incidents, support issues and providing standardized reports to customers.

In addition to managing projects, the TAM will be responsible for setting best practices, driving stability and flawless execution. The assembled team will define project scope, assist where needed in implementation of project and training/transition to on-going operational team, and post-mortem initiatives. The TAM will become the expert on the customers solution design and business objectives and will work with all CDM organizations to ensure optimal solution performance and uptime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation

  • Primary person to lead internal teams on implementation of new client activities including installation, content, services, network management, support, training and partner enablement.
  • Analysis and consultation on business requirements to ensure efficiency and stability to long term operations of customer projects.
  • Partner with PMO resources to ensure proper identification, tracking, status, risks, and key decision points are communicated effectively.
  • Oversight, indirect management and high-level technical support to project teams and customer.

Operations

  • Primary person to work with customer success on technical matters that come up as a form of weekly/quarterly check-ins.
  • Contribute to the identification of customer needs to help drive new solutions, software tools, problem resolution and upsell opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships and work closely with our technology, product management, operations, and account management teams to facilitate solutions to customer issues. 
  • Work as a Team to engage customers both proactively based on established metrics, and reactively based on direct customer engagement to provide augmented support to Cineplex Digital Media customers including:

Preparation of summaries of open Support Incidents

 Schedule and run regular meetings to review and prioritize open Support Incidents with CDM and customer

Act as an escalation point to customers

Regular review and monitoring of SLA performance

Document and maintain best practices for client-specific needs

Work closely with Support Management, Account Management and 3rd party support partners to ensure proper escalation and resolution processes are utilized

Engage in the CDM Change Management process, representing the customer and communicating all Change Advisory Board approved changes to the customer

Communicate proactively with Clients regarding product and program information, supportability issues and strategic product plans where appropriate

Work with the CDM Traffic Management team to ensure successful implementation and support of Content and Pricing changes.

Engage cross functionally with internal teams to satisfy reporting and product needs on client’s behalf

  • Collaborate with other TAM’s to document best practices and contribute to enriching internal processes for CDM
  • Playing a significant role in long-term planning, including long term financial and operational stability.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years relevant experience with business, marketing, technology and/or strategy implementation
  • Experience leading projects within a large, complex high-tech or software focused organization
  • Have an understanding or background in one of the following disciplines’: customer success, operations, network design, data design, implementation, automation.
  • Awareness of relevant programming and networking technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customers concurrently and deliver results under pressure
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship and project management skills.
  • Ability to think critically; to identify problems and evaluate options to mitigate
  • Ability to be on call in afterhours situations.

  • Coordinate with external vendor to accommodate all requested photos and provide post campaign analytics and Proof of Performance as requested.  Working with reports from various sources, extract and summarize crucial data and in a simplified and meaningful way to help monitor the network.  Keep the team and stakeholders informed of any network issues or updates. Troubleshoot any issues with Helpdesk.
  • Working closely with affiliated networks, ensure that all creatives are approved as per each property’s guidelines.  Keep the team and stakeholders informed of any challenges.
  • Liaise with clients to acquire creative and screen to ensure it meets specs, does not provide a network conflict of interest, and is approved by the network’s assigned representative prior to airing to the public.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education with Degree or Diploma in Digital Media, Marketing, Commerce, Statistic, Web Development, Information Technology or relevant field Preferred.
  • 1-3 years in advertising media, digital media or agency experience.
  • 1-3 years of office administration, data entry or customer service experience.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-starting team player with high attention to detail, drive to innovate and problem solve.
  • Superior computer skills, proficiency in MS-Word and MS-Excel required.

What you will be doing:

  • Schedule new campaigns for Cineplex pre-shows, and showtime contracts.
  • Liaise with sales team for images of upcoming client creative, acquiring approval from appropriate parties prior to deadline.
  • Assist with pre-show & showtime programming based on potential future projects that include programmatic, low funnel sales and/or impression-based selling daily.
  • Cross-check that all of Cineplex Media’s Controller’s policies have been followed with respect to the acceptance of Cineplex Media contracts prior to placing media in our theatres. Data entry of client media contracts into prepared traffic schedules as assigned
  • Cross supports Show Time team as required.
  • Working in Tier 1 HelpDesk support to our theatres via phone, email or chat. Charged to run diagnostics to resolve theatre reported issues. A self-starter who is comfortable problem-solving controls with immediate team and leaders, as required.
  • Assist with compiling proof-of-play reporting and purchase orders as required.
  • Assist in support, interpretation & forecast of availability on traffic schedules questions as forwarded from Cineplex Media’s sales staff.
  • Assist in delivery tracking of Cineplex Media client materials to theatres, providing assessment of identifiable issues to Executive Director of Production.

Qualifications

  • Ability to learn quickly with on the job training

The Senior Manager of Software Development leads a group of Software Developers and Quality Assurance professionals in designing and implementing a variety of platform software products or custom software solutions for sale and deployment to our customers.  The manager will work closely with multiple stake holders including other development and DevOps technology groups, product management, customer success, account management, UX Design in designing and implementing a code development framework for consumer-facing Web, server and embedded applications.   The manager will share primary accountability for the quality and timeliness of delivered products and solutions that meet the requirements as set out by product management in the case of platform products or by customer solutions and account directors in the case of custom software.

The Senior Manager will provide expert leadership and guidance for the software development team, conceiving and implementing engineering best-practice processes and procedures to consistently design and develop high quality technological solutions that meet the strategic and tactical needs of the company.  The Senior Manager is expected to possess high initiative, foster a collaborative team environment, provide direct staff management, mentoring and guidance as well develop plans for the group to meet strategic department and business goals.  In particular, the Manager will ensure that the skills and capabilities of the subject matter expert group continues to grow and evolve with changing business needs.  The Manager will take a hand-on approach where necessary to assist the team in dealing with critical customer or business issues in conjunction with other groups and will help assess and manage risk.  Strong and effective collaborative communications with team members, internal stakeholders and customers is an essential skill for this complex role.

Media Strategy Development and Campaign Management

Working closely with Cineplex’s Media Agency to align on upper to lower funnel media activity, in relation to marketing objectives. Leverage multi-media channels with an increased focus on digital and advise on how best to allocate budgets across each channel. Act as the point of contact for media buying agency and streamline all paid media buying activity across Cineplex ecosystem and develop and refine agency briefing templates, processes, and ways of working to support business goals.

Act as the main internal resource in helping optimize paid media plan recommendations made by media agency

Campaign Analysis, Maintenance and ReportingWork closely with Marketing Analytics and D&T to develop relevant campaign dashboards and leverage data and post results to dictate campaign plans and optimizations on a go forward basis. This also include oversight and constant tracking of accountable KPIs

Communication and Collaboration –Support consumer marketing in translating marketing + business objectives to media. Ensure clear communication of media requirements to key stakeholders including the media agency, Loyalty, Data Science, Marketing Analytics and D&T. Strong presentation skills for internal stakeholder buy in and alignment are vital.

Evaluation and Awareness of Current and Emerging Media –Media is constantly changing. Maintain relevancy and awareness of new and emerging media trends and channels through strong relationships with media suppliers and trade publications. Stay up to date on competition’s campaigns and alert relevant marketing team(s) and agency. In addition, provide POV to consumer marketing on media supplier proposals

Financial Tracking –Develop and manage a budget control report for each LOB and will be responsible in partnership with the marketing team, to ensure campaigns stay within budget. Monitor campaign spend, track media invoices, and resolve any discrepancies

People Management –Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring leadership to the Media Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Marketing, Communications, and/or Media

We are looking for a Manager, Reporting and Analytics who will be a key member of the Exhibition and LBE Reporting team.  This exciting role will be reporting to the VP, Reporting and Analytics and work closely with National Operations, Revenue management, and the Regional management team for Exhibition and LBE. 

As a strong leader, you will bring amazing analytic, insight driven, metrics tracking expertise, as this role designs, gathers, and distributes wide-ranging analysis, providing stakeholders insights and recommendations to drive decision-making across the unit.   The Reporting and Analytics Team is committed to provide actionable insights to maximize revenue generation and operational effectiveness across all Exhibition and LBE businesses and functional units.   

What the Role Is:

  • Key member of Exhibition and LBE annual budgeting process 

  • Drives continuous improvement across the enterprise through the creation, adoption and evangelism of automation tools and streamlined processes. 

  • Prepare and present analysis required to support strategic plans and initiatives utilizing financial and non-financial metrics. 

  • Develop and maintain regular reporting ranging from departmental updates to enterprise-wide analysis and initiatives. 

  • Compile company, competitive and industry information to identify and analyze trends to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities 

  • Conduct regular business review meetings with National Operations, Revenue Management team and Regional offices and take part in collaborative working sessions to align with company goals and objectives.  

  • Identifies new opportunities and makes recommendations to improve profitability through revenue management or cost efficiencies 

Qualifications

What You Need:

  • Passion for Movies and People! 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Economics or related field 

  • Financial designation (i.e. CPA, CFA) and/or MBA an asset 

  • 5+ years of working experience in an analyst/reporting role 

What You Offer:

  • Ability to run financial models and “tell the story” from looking at the data 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels within the organization. 

  • Knowledge in the use of databases, data analysis/query tools and proficiency in Excel 

  • Hands-on experience with creating dashboards and reports on Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools  

  • Bilingual English and French an asset

Job Description

The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in the planning, execution, and measurement of attendance-driving programs for Cineplex’s exhibition, amusement, and Store offerings. More specifically, this individual will also be responsible for supporting the Director, Marketing Operations in development of processes and data-driven strategies that bring cohesion and efficiency to the Cineplex Marketing team.

  • Liaise with various internal stakeholders to innovate and implement new processes within the Marketing team, including codification of responsibilities and timelines.
  • Support campaign performance reporting based on cross-channel data and insights, in partnership with external agency and Marketing Analytics team.
  • Assist in coordination of monthly budget updates & forecasting throughout Marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or recently completed a Business, Marketing and/or Communications program within a post-secondary institution
  • High-level understanding of integrated marketing strategy and tools necessary to develop and measure a successful campaign.
  • Proven critical thinking skills to work through relatively complex strategic problems.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated prioritization ability, solution orientation and resilience, given ever-changing environment and market landscape
  • Highly energetic and flexible team player with an “all hands on deck” mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to take initiative, in order to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Some familiarity with using data and insights to inform marketing plans
  • Comfortable managing relationships with various partners to gain alignment
  • Quick learner with strong project management, time management and organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail when building out documents for various audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Strong familiarity operating within PowerPoint and Excel
