Clover Health (NASDAQ: CLOV) is a data driven health insurance company driving to improve the overall state of healthcare in America. We are hiring software engineers, data scientists, designers and product folks who can help us understand our members’ wellness and steer them clear of any health risks down the road.

Clover Health is hiring a Remote Staff UX Designer

Counterpart Health: Value-based care, at the point of care.

At Counterpart Health, we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant. By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes for patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.

Our UX Designers thrive on solving hard problems. We deliver products and experiences by combining personal care with modern technology to give people the healthcare they deserve. We work closely to define emerging patterns, interactions, and visual systems from the ground up to solve problems that haven’t been solved yet. It’s an opportunity to not only design better healthcare software, but to design a whole new way to work.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff UX Designer to join our team and lead impactful design initiatives across our product suite. As a key member of the design leadership team, you will shape the quality of the user experience, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are intuitive, user-centered, and aligned with business goals. You will be responsible for solving complex design challenges, elevating design quality by mentoring other designers, and driving a user-first mindset throughout the organization.

If you are a design leader who thrives in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment and has a passion for creating products that make a meaningful impact, we would love to meet you!

As a Staff UX Designer, you will:

  • Provide leadership in introducing consumer-level experiences into the enterprise healthcare space, setting a new standard for design quality with a refined sense of taste.
  • Lead the exploration and solutioning of undefined problem areas, driving innovation to tackle complex user and business challenges.
  • Own and lead large-scale design projects, utilizing rapid prototyping and fast learning cycles to deliver impactful, scalable solutions.
  • Bring differentiated expertise to elevate the overall design quality and introduce breakthrough experiences, pushing the team toward new levels of excellence.
  • Establish yourself as a design leader by demonstrating mastery, strategic thinking, and confidence in making intelligent design decisions.
  • Champion design excellence and innovation throughout the organization, influencing cross-functional teams and setting the standard for high-impact solutions.

Success in this role looks like:

  • In the first 90 days, you have partnered with senior engineering to deliver multiple prototype iterations, which are now actively in the hands of end users. You have dramatically elevated the user experience and are setting a new benchmark for design excellence. Your deep collaboration with leadership and data science teams has been essential in weaving ML features into the design and breaking new ground.
  • By six months, you have seamlessly integrated next-gen design patterns into the workflows of other designers and PMs. You’ve also incorporated these patterns and improvements into the Design System as a member of the Design System Team, while retiring or updating outdated patterns. You are now balancing the fine-tuning of next-gen experiences with launching new, high-impact projects, demonstrating your strategic vision and agility across the organization.
  • Long term, you continue to lead groundbreaking exploration projects with substantial potential. You are working collaboratively with senior leadership and data science teams to drive strategic design advancements. As a key player in the Design System, you are elevating design quality, consistently pushing the envelope and setting new standards for excellence.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have 7+ years of in-house design experience, including working autonomously with senior technical teams and integrating complex features like ML to deliver consumer-level, best-in-class experiences.
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates industry mastery (healthcare experience is a plus but not required), showcasing advanced expertise in interaction and visual design, with a track record of creating outstanding, next-level user experiences.
  • You possess strategic thinking skills and have experience leading early-stage exploration projects with high-value potential, showcasing your ability to drive impactful design innovations.
  • You have a proven track record of managing and reconciling conflicting stakeholder feedback, resulting in cohesive and innovative design solutions.
  • You are adept at working with design systems, with experience in contributing to and maintaining high-quality, scalable design standards.
  • You are a natural leader who thrives on sharing your knowledge with others, helping to elevate the design capabilities of your team.

Clover Health is hiring a Remote Director, Analytics

Counterpart: Value-based care, at the point of care.

At Counterpart Health, we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant. By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes to our patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.

We are hiring a Director of Analytics on the Counterpart Assistant team to lead our analytics team. The analytics team is a mix of data scientists, analysts, and BI developers working to build our analytics platform, our analytics pipelines, and driving our analytic understanding of the Counterpart Assistant’s impact on improving patients’ outcomes. This role spans internal analysis such as product analytics, external reporting such as customer business reviews, and product functionality in our embedded reporting suite. We deeply value and focus on driving data driven decisions and empowering our pods to be able to generate those insights.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of healthcare clinical and claims data, strong technical expertise, and a passion for improving healthcare through innovative data solutions.

As Director of Analytics, you will:

  • Manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and BI developers to most effectively drive impact for our users and their patients.
  • Focus on identifying and solving the highest impact analytics data platform enhancements both for our users and our business simultaneously.
  • Be a part of the Counterpart technology leadership team, helping build and design OKRs for the product as well as the pods.
  • Be the subject matter expert within Counterpart Assistant for all things relating to our analytics data, our analytics platform, and how other pods leverage this data to drive insights and capabilities.
  • Iteratively improve the analytics data platform, finding ways to deliver value as early as possible in the development process.
  • Articulate how Counterpart can measure the progress it’s making; if you can’t measure it, you can’t describe how you’ve moved it.
  • Be accountable to analytics which drive outcomes. Analytics should drive understanding, enabling us to make data informed decisions, which improve business outcomes.
  • Monitor and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the analytics data.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Over the first 90 days you’ll spend time building relationships with your new direct reports and broader technology team while understanding the needs across the executive team, product, engineering, data science, clinical and customers. Success is measured by your ability to build relationships and understand the needs of those different stakeholders. It is expected that they will understand the existing analytic systems in place by the end of 90 days. Ideally, within 90 days we are making progress on the end to end systems supporting our analytics.
  • Within the first 6 months, success is measured as evolving the team and processes from a well instrumented (but complex to consistently, repeatedly, and intuitively query) analytics system to one that can be usable by a team of analysts for the vast majority of product and customer analytics. Product analytics should be largely addressable with less variability and less expertise needed of the analytics consumer for understanding performance.
  • Over time, this individual's performance will be measured as a member of the technical leadership team helping set the direction and strategy for how we can continue to scale a data driven technology organization using scalable and repeatable analytics patterns. The end to end analytics needs will be consistently maintained and grown in cost effective ways for Counterpart, while unlocking insights and value for our stakeholders and customers.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have minimum of 8+ years experience.
  • You have at least 4+ years experience working with healthcare data such as FHIR, claims, or EHR data.
  • You are an expert in driving efficacy analyses, both via A/B testing and where A/B testing is not viable.
  • You have experience being part of an empowered product organization.
  • You are an expert with SQL and data analytics, and have an understanding of machine learning approaches.

Benefits Overview

  • Financial Well-Being: Our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent begins with a competitive base salary and equity opportunities. We are hiring a Product Manager on the Counterpart team to be a member of a pods’ leadership triad obsessed with creating products that 1) advance our mission to improve every life and 2) deliver value to our customers. You will be responsible for owning the product lifecycle from roadmap, research, and design through development and successful landings (at Clover, we measure landings, not launches).

In this role you will be responsible for leading a pod of data engineers and data scientists to develop and manage our clinical data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of clinical data management, strong technical expertise, and a passion for improving healthcare through innovative data solutions.

As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Be a leader on a pod with the product triad: product, engineering and data science. As a healthcare product, we also deeply integrate and coordinate with our clinical teams (MDs, NPs, RNs, MAs, coders, billers, etc).
  • Focus on identifying and solving the highest impact data platform enhancements both for our users and our business simultaneously
  • Be the subject matter expert on the pod for all things relating to our clinical data, our data platform, and how other pods leverage this data to drive insights and capabilities
  • Iteratively improve the clinical data platform, finding ways to deliver value as early as possible in the development process
  • Articulate how the pod can measure the progress it’s making; if you can’t measure it, you can’t describe how you’ve moved it
  • Be accountable to outcomes of the pods, finding solutions to problems and enabling the success of the pod
  • Monitor and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the clinical data

Success in this role looks like:

  • Key to the first 90 days will be meeting project milestones for external data integrations and internal projects around data accessibility, usability, and quality. In partnership with the rest of the pod, you are able to articulate the value of the pod’s work through metrics and dashboards that show tangible business benefits.
  • As a platform pod, within the first 6 months, you should have fostered effective collaboration across other pods that rely on the data platform. You should demonstrate understanding of their needs and expectations, while designing an ecosystem that is standardized and reliable. At this stage, you should be knowledgeable of the overall data landscape and be able to articulate how data flows through the organization and its role in decision-making.
  • This role leads a pod building data platforms that are scalable, secure, and efficient. As such, over time, you should be able to identify opportunities for improvement or innovation that weren’t immediately obvious. You will own the roadmap and strategy for the pod, driving product outcomes. In addition, you should be a major contributor to our data-driven culture, including training and promoting best practices within and across pods.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have minimum of 2+ years experience working with healthcare data such as FHIR, claims, or EHR data
  • You have a minimum of 4+ years experience working on data platforms
  • You have experience being part of an empowered product organization
  • You are proficient with SQL, data analytics, and an understanding of machine learning approaches
  • You own outcomes. Product launches are fun, but seeing the impact of the pods work driving improved patient outcomes is what motivates you.

From understanding how the member experience impacts clinical outcomes to making our home visits more efficient and effective, our team pushes out insights central to executing on our core mission. And our impact is tremendous: you'll be able to point to one of our members and say, “I helped make that person's life better.”

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help us build a revolutionary new healthcare company.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

  • Lead large-scale projects from ideation through delivering enterprise value.
  • Have a broad problem-solving toolkit and know how to apply it. When problems call for out-of-the-box solutions, you will apply them effectively. When problems call for boutique solutions, you can evaluate the trade-offs and choose a solution that maximizes velocity.
  • Implement broad solutions that are bug-free and well-tested. Where possible, your work reduces complexity rather than adding it.
  • Understand the problems faced by the business and deliver results that meaningfully solve some of these problems.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders across all levels of Clover to understand needs.
  • Uncover and mitigate risks and assumptions that may prove to be intractable later.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner and ensure that projects are delivered on time and to spec. Within the team, serve as a mentor and collaborator, improving peers’ ability to deliver.

You will love this job if:

  • You want to create impactwith your work by finding insights in the data that unlock value and improve outcomes.
  • You have a strong understanding of how to structure analyses and experiments to yield interpretable, actionable results.
  • You reason holistically. From project scope to priority to implementation, you'll have an impact on how decisions get made.
  • You are comfortable acting autonomously in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
  • You are fearless in the face of messy data, and adept at programmatically structuring and cleaning records collected from the real world.
  • You strive to automate as much as possible, yet understand the value of explicitly incorporating human decisionsinto the systems you build.
  • You have just as much interest in helping other people move faster as you do building your own analyses.

You should get in touch if:

  • Have an advanced degree in a quantitative field, especially dealing with complex data-driven results, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of a Master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant work experience or Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Have a strong foundation in probability and statistics, and demonstrated facility with machine learning tools, including SQL and python, as well as statistical and machine learning packages.
  • Have demonstrated success using data science to deliver clear enterprise value in a business function.
  • Are comfortable leading and have successfully led a large-scale project from opportunity identification to business value.
  • Are able to improve the work of those around you via direct mentorship, code review, informal conversations, and leadership by example.
  • Can clearly articulate how your work accrues to business value and can contextualize that value with respect to top-level business objectives.
