  • Responsible for the management, measurement, evaluation and reporting of sales;
  • Support the CRM administration and development to ensure focused data analysis, comprehensive reporting, KPI measurement and accurate forecasting;
  • Act as an advocate for the sales team by playing a key role in the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process providing key information and managing communications with operations and planning staff;

Based in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 28 day on and 14  days off, with 12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided from Edmonton or Calgary.

The Lodge Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Lodge. The successful candidate will bring their operational, people management and customer service expertise to the project to support the development of a dynamic high functioning team.  This position is requires a hands on leader.  Duties will include managing a small team of 7 people, and assisting housekeepers and culinary staff as required. 

This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit to work testing as a condition of employment. 

Your work will include:

  • Ensure maximum client and guest satisfaction by providing over-all high-quality hospitality service
  • Ensure Horizon North’s standards are upheld and maintained daily regarding food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and Health and Safety programs
  • Support all hiring initiatives and performance management of employees in coordination with Human Resources and the Lodge Manager
  • Provide analysis and insight for revenue forecasts and budgets
  • Create staff schedules in accordance to client forecasts and revenue 
  • Ensure profitability through budgetary adherence 
  • Delegate and perform tasks as required to support the daily operation of the lodge

The General Helper /Housekeeper is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. You will be required to arrange reliable transportation to and from site daily.

What you’ll do

  • Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining areas
  • Clean kitchen and dining room floors and tables

The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:

Key responsibilities include:

Qualifications

  • Camp, hotel or restaurant management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations is an asset.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
  • Must have an acceptable Criminal Records Check.
  • Advanced Food Safety certification and First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Be able to handle the following physical demands:
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
    • Climb ladders or stairs.
    • Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Coordinator supports the strategic procurement of commodities, supplies, equipment, and services to be used by Dexterra Group Inc.  Responsible for supporting corporate contracts and communicating the terms of the agreements to the business segments, while ensuring exceptional value, quality, and service to our internal stakeholders. ​​​​​​​

  • Ensuring that all purchasing procedures are being followed.
  • Assisting in developing purchasing guidelines for the department.
  • The preparation of monthly management reports.
  • Management of internal supply chain communications.
  • Work predominantly with our Supply Chain Support Services, but also link with other business units, to establish communications with these groups.
  • Participating in the seamless roll-out of category strategy initiatives across the organization that deliver results in-line with the category strategy.
  • Validating of new suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier contracts within the department.
  • Assisting the Strategic Sourcing Manager with subcontracts.
  • Relationship management with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support operational excellence across the organization related to supply chain initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education at an accredited University or College with a degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business or Commerce or commensurate experience.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in a related position is required.
  • Advanced computer skills a must.
  • Bilingual, English and French, proficiency in both.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and with a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to demonstrate organizational time management and decisions-making skills.
  • Able to work individually and as a team member.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, contracts, logistics and distribution processes.
  • Attention to health and safety of self and co-workers.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

The Second Cook is responsible for Assisting the First Cook in the preparation of all menu items as needed in the camp.

The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:

  • All meals and accommodation provided free of charge

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meet daily with the First Cook to discuss menu preparation and production strategy.
  • Assist the First Cook in the preparation of all menu items as needed.
  • Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the Kitchen and serving areas.
  • Replenish desserts and condiments as required.
  • Follow proper storage and rotation of all food supplies.
  • Make breakfast for a large number of people.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Large scale camp cooking experience is an asset.
  • Current Food Safe certification is an asset.
  • Current First Aid Level 1 Certification is an asset.
  • Be able to handle the following physical demands:
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
    • Climb ladders or stairs.
    • Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time.
    • Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands.
    • Perform work with arms at full length.
    • Work with arms above shoulder height.

Work Schedule and Remuneration:

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Based in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 14 days on and 14 days off, with 12 hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site by flight from any major flight hubs.

The First Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all main meals as per requirements; and ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time to the highest standards of Horizon North.

This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol and fit to work testing as a condition of employment. 

Your work will include:

  • Management of meal preparation, assistance with inventory management, menu planning, and ordering.
  • Demonstrate mastery of all aspects of cooking (i.e., proteins, sauces, starches, vegetables, etc.) for all meal types
  • Accommodate various diets including vegetarian, vegan, cultural, food allergies, and other specific requests
  • Able to safely use, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment (i.e., flattop, grill, fryer, meat slicer etc.)
  • Demonstrate and ensure the use of proper knife skills
  • Responsible for ensuring food quality, food safety (including reporting all food allergies), and food standards are met
  • Supervise, manage, train, mentor, and direct other kitchen staff (as required) Ensure all daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed
  • Ensure food quality, food safety, and food standards are met
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as per task, equipment usage, or PPE requirements
  • Complete health and safety required documents, including temperature charts
  • Participate in Toolbox meetings, complete Field Level Risk Assessment, and Hazard Identifications daily.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hospitality / food service industry
  • Minimum 1 year prior experience as a Sous Chef in hotels, resorts, restaurants and/or camps, with the cooking competency and knowledge of international and domestic cuisines
  • Must have an excellent practical and theoretical background in all areas of the kitchen i.e: Hot Kitchens, Cold Kitchens, Pastry / Bakery, Butchery and Banquets dealing with large numbers of guests;
  • Must possess valid advanced food safe designation
  • Preferred Red Seal Designation
  • Knowledge of Computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Sysco, Outlook)
  • Successful candidate MUST obtain a 80% make or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

Under the supervision of the Testing Manager:

  • Using rapid point-of-care Covid-19 testing machines, candidates are expected to administer and test upwards of 30 persons a day on average
  • Provide accurate, efficient and quality results
  • Perform tests under the training and guidance of Songbird – creators of the Hyris bCube
  • Adhere to all on site and provincial guidelines regarding Covid-19 testing
  • Administer, track and file all test results on site
  • Immediately report and follow on site and provincial procedures in the event of a positive test result
  • Conduct and record instrument maintenance as required
  • Ensure confidentiality where required
  • Ensure biohazardous material is disposed of in accordance with provincial requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace
  • Reports to the onsite Camp Manager

Qualifications

  • University or college diploma in a related field an asset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • 2-5 years’ experience in laboratory or medical fields

  • $27-30 an hour
