Your contributions will have a meaningful and visible impact on the company on a daily basis. You will be building tools for three distinct audiences:

• Our publishers, providing tools to control and customize their sites and provide feedback on key performance metrics from the artificial intelligence engine.
• Our users, creating widgets and features used across thousands of sites to provide advanced functionality, which will be automatically enabled or disabled via the Ezoic engine at a granular level.
• The Ezoic team, providing access to data and features to allow the team to analyze performance, identify issues, and make changes to manage site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Take basic ideas for features and turn them into finished products.
• Use Go, Node or PHP to build API endpoints.
• Integrate APIs into the frontend code.
• Design database tables and write efficient queries.
• Design and construct innovative and responsive user interfaces.
• Write unit tests for backend and frontend code.
• Test your own features for quality and deploy when they are ready.
• Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers.

What’s needed for success

• Must have at least 5+ years of relevant software engineering work experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Node/PHP/GOLANG to retrieve and process data.
• Strong client-side HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX skills and experience.
• Ability to create wireframes and designs that result in a great user experience.
• Familiarity with cross-browser testing and debugging.
• Experience developing Chrome extensions is a plus.

We're looking for a highly-motivated, self-starting Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Senior - Mid-level) that is excited to learn new cloud technologies and languages. You will help manage our infrastructure within AWS to keep the thousands of sites we power running smoothly. You'll also be involved in our CI/CD pipeline to keep our software engineers moving quickly and use infrastructure as code to keep our systems up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and automate system administration services including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery of hundreds or thousands of EC2 instances in 10+ regions.
• Control EC2 instance life-cycle and other AWS resources.
• Respond to production incidents, troubleshoot, resolve, and document.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system, software, network, and storage failures for a globally distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Configure, test, deploy, and upgrade software for production EC2 servers in AWS.
• Author and recommend settings for applications, operating systems, networks, and cloud services to improve performance, security, and reliability.
• Design and develop monitoring and 100% uptime solutions for critical systems including our own in-house web hosting offering.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience with both software engineering and sysops or 6+ years’ experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
  or similar.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing and virtualization.
• Expert knowledge of Linux.
• Proven understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, etc)
• Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably in a highly available SaaS or cloud service provider.
