As the Learning Technologist, you will work closely with several team members including Learning Architects, other Learning Technologists, Quality Reviewers, Multimedia Editors, and Graphic Designers to ensure that the design and development of online learning support the vision of the partner and subject matter experts.
You will be responsible for working with the Learning Architect (LA) to build and set up the course within the learning management system (LMS) using HTML and CSS when applicable and depending on the assigned project. Some projects require strict adherence to a provided style guide. The Learning Architect collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to adapt content for online instruction, while you, the Learning Technologist, focus on the build process.
Further, you will be responsible for building discussion boards, assignments, tests, and quizzes in the LMS, as well as making sure the course display is consistent throughout. You will also ensure all aspects of the coursework properly (hyperlinks, videos, 3rd party integrations). You will monitor new apps and technologies to see how they can be incorporated into the LMS.
This is a part-time, hourly, 1099 contract position.
This is a two-part application process. You will submit your resume and answer the initial application questions. You will be asked if you are open to completing a learning technology assessment. If you are willing, we will provide you with a Canvas course shell to complete the task. Both parts of the application must be completed to be considered for the position.
