ROLE OVERVIEW
Device Integration Technicians have an important role which blends a working knowledge of optometric devices, networking, and software integration tools. These skills are used to initiate new setups as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing setups. Device Integration Technicians play an integral role in the efficiency and functionality of eye health practices by connecting a wide array of optometric devices to RevolutionEHR.
THE POSITION
Device Integration Technicians are integral in ensuring that various optometric devices and instruments used in eye health practices are communicating with EHR software. A high level of knowledge is required to support the end user’s integrations. Typical responsibilities include:
Interact with customers who will present with varying degrees of technical knowledge and experience via phone, email, and live chat. Be able to work with, instruct, and troubleshoot device integration for customers.
Create customer training videos and other content related to your areas of expertise.
Host one-on-one sessions with customers to provide guidance as needed.
Document all customer communications in our CRM program.
Provide input to our product development team for future releases of the software.
Assist Quality Assurance team with testing of new development as needed.
We seek candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can pivot quickly when needed. Candidates should have experience in most of the following areas:
Clinic/In-office or in-practice experience in an eye care setting
Working knowledge of technical instruments used in eye health practices (autorefractors, lensometers, automated phoropters, cameras, OCTs, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to manipulate hardware & software to function and communicate properly
IT knowledge with an emphasis on file paths and ports
Experience with RevolutionEHR a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
Passionate, customer-champion with proven ability to provide remote customer support
Ability to research answers and provide solutions quickly and independently
Clear and concise communication skills
Knowledge of the Windows operating system, particularly file management, hardware (serial ports, USB-to-Serial adapters), security permissions, and installing/uninstalling and configuring software
