The Job

As part of the Koombea GRC team the Cloud Security Engineer focuses on identifying and analyzing the requirements of and threats to cloud systems; recommending, implementing and testing security controls and services in cloud environments; performing security audits of cloud infrastructure, services and applications; and participating in Business Continuity and Incident Response activities.

The Cloud Security Engineer participates in enterprise architecture processes; collaborates with developers and DevOps engineers to deliver creative and effective solutions; automates security controls, data and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support; and creates, reviews and maintains documentation in accordance with policy and procedure. Must have the ability to qualitatively understand business processes, and have a strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop user-facing features for native iOS applications
  • Build user interface functionality across iOS devices
  • Develop a scalable and maintainable component architecture
  • Ensure the optimized performance of mobile applications
  • Implement the latest best practices and conventions
  • As part of an agile development team, participate in the sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups and follow the agile development process
  • Review, refactor and maintain codebases
  • Submit applications to beta and production distribution environments
  • Ensure the quality of the deliverables and their code

 

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Proficient in Swift, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience with UIKit APIs on watchOS/tvOS
  • Good knowledge of performance limits and characteristics
  • Knowledge of memory management and multi-threading
  • Experience with embedded databases and other system datastores
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
  • Familiarity with Local Databases (CouchBase, Realm, CoreData)
  • Good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus
  • Experience with UIKit APIs on watchOS/tvOS
  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is a plus
  • Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (Fastlane, Jenkins, CircleCI, Fabric)
  • Experience working with multiple targets, schemes and environments

The Job

Koombea is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our PMO team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing software applications by guiding the vision of what needs to be built, and working with the development team to deliver that vision.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about building amazing digital products, working with multiple teams, and prioritizes listening to client’s needs and synthesizing them to build software applications.

You will debrief teams and work together with them in helping transition from project planning into execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the clients and technical team to build the most suitable and technically feasible solutions.
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including the definition of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria. 
  • Gather, analyze, estimate and validate requirements from all sources using various tools and methodologies.
  • Discover and discuss all possible assumptions, dependencies and risks associated with a project.
  • Analyze, monitor and improve accuracy of estimates.
  • Discover, refine and estimate requirements for extensions of existing projects.
  • Run Discovery and Ideation workshops for complex projects in order to define a viable scope and product roadmaps

What You Bring to the Team

  • 3+ years of product owner experience with digital products
  • Excellent verbal communication in English and Spanish.
  • Expertise with JIRA and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge in Software Architecture, Software Development Lifecycle, and good with Maths.

Koombea is looking for a Tech Lead Developer to join our development team in Colombia or remote in all Latam. As a Technical Lead, you'll be architecting solutions for a wide array of problems. Responsibilities

Ultimately, as part of our Technical Lead team you'll be responsible for the technical solutions we design and create for our clients. This responsibility is broken down into activities like the following:

 

· Understand client objectives, guiding intake activities like stakeholder interviews.

· Develop prototypes as we consider solutions.

· Guide teams of developers as we turn ideas into digital products.

· Build and maintain trust with clients through excellent communication.

Required Skills

This is a senior level position that requires 4+ years of relevant experience. Both backend and frontend skillsets are valued since we do cater to both frontend and backend challenges.

See below for some pointers on what we are looking for:

· Senior level backend or frontend technical skill sets.

· 4+ years of web-based software architecture experience. Think rolling out an MVC application, integrating with third-party APIs (+ handling throttle limits), building out Jamstack frontends, creating Shopify themes from the ground up, contributing to open source packages, creating custom API interfaces.

· Knowledge of modern frameworks and coding paradigms. On the frontend, we typically work with Vue.js and React. On the backend, we typically work with RoR, Node and Laravel.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. English as a native or secondary language will be necessary

· Level-headed and positive attitude under pressure.

· A team-first mentality. Speak up when you need help and help those in need.

· Detail orientated mindset. Dive deep into the problems you are solving.

· Knowledge and experience in Shopify as a developer required.
