Job Description

As a manager-level consultant, you will develop business, strategize for go-to-market, and manage client delivery. Role responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and understand business and technical requirements, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical aspects.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to the team regarding the capabilities, limitations, and best practices of SAP packages.
  • Utilize functional and technical expertise to design solutions and guide teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams including architects and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience as a consultant at a Big 4/8 consulting firm.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on functional and technical aspects, preferably within the Utilities industry.
  • Experience developing and consuming OData services within SAP.
  • Understanding of master data concepts and management within SAP Utilities.
  • Knowledge of conversational IVR systems.
  • Experience with Amazon Connect is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in the utilities industry is preferred.

  1. Client Engagement:

  2. Project Management:

    • Lead and execute grid operations projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

    • Oversee the creation of client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of market management systems (MMS), energy management systems (EMS), and Operational Technology (ADMS, DERMS, DER) to develop innovative and effective solutions for clients.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to grid operations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the utilities sector, with a focus on grid operations and energy management.
  • Experience with OT (DERMS, ADMS, DER, SCADA, etc)
  • Experience with MMS & EMS preferable 
  • Proven track record of successful projects and initiatives within utility companies.
  • Strongly preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Qualifications

Requisite Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create impactful and concise executive stakeholder-ready deliverables, and polished client-facing oral communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience managing multiple workstreams as a member or leader on change projects, ensuring the readiness of the client organization(s) for a variety of changes, including new technology/processes, new organization strategy, or other change efforts.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with change management frameworks and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Consulting, client servicing and/or advisory experience
  • Grid Operations Operational Technology experience highly desirable (SCADA, DERMS, ADMS, AMI, etc)
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
