As a Sales Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales team to achieve its objectives. You will be responsible for coordinating sales activities and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales process. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for an energetic Sales Coordinator to partner with our Sales Team leadership as we build out and execute our retail roadmap. We are open to remote candidates with a preference for those able to join us locally at our NYC office (Tribeca, in office Tu/Weds/Thurs).

As Sales Coordinator, you'll cover:

Sales Support: Assist the sales team with day-to-day operations, including preparing sales documents, samples, and presentation materials. Supporting the sales team in managing communications with brokers and marketing partner. Setting up manual distributor and customers and all new item set up

Sales Coordination: Ability to coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment and effective execution of projects. Managing retailer and broker sample orders

Data Management: Maintain and update customer portals, retailer portals, and other relevant information to meet set up deadlines. Managing new item set up in UNFI, KeHE and other distributors/customers. Managing Magic Spoon data in third-party systems (IX-One, Syndigo/Gladsons, Nielsen Brand Bank, IRI, SPINS)

Event Coordination: Help organize and manage sales meetings, conferences, and other promotional events. Coordinating trade shows logistics. Coordinating sales meetings

Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing documents.

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales support, coordination, or administrative role, preferably within the consumer products industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for a CPG Shopper Marketer to bring the future of Magic Spoon products to life.

This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tues, Weds, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.

  • Lead the planning and execution of Shopper Marketing programs, in collaboration with the Sales team, across specific retail accounts and national programs to drive maximum ROI
  • Manage the Annual and Monthly budget for Shopper Marketing, in collaboration with the Finance and Sales teams
  • Actively manage individual retailer digital shopper marketing platforms, such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Albertsons for all digital shopper activity, including search, ads, and coupons (expectation is to be “hands on keyboard”)
  • Actively manage national digital shopper platforms, including planning. Execution, and optimization for partners such as Instacart and Ibotta.
  • Working with Sales, manage demo programs to support in store sampling
  • Manage any physical coupon programs such as one off IRC’s and third party merchandisers or internal for placement
  • Partner with growth team to share digital learning in areas such as keywords and search optimization, as well as coordinate programs that span retail and DTC
  • Liaison between sales and creative for all shopper creative briefing, and adhoc needs such as copy for ads, presentation templates
  • Share out frequent updates on spend, topline results and financials, with recommendations to inform and guide shopper marketing spending and consistent improvement of results
  • Evaluate additional shopper tactics, national and customer specific, and provide recommendations on inclusion into plan
  • Support the sales team with presentation ready selling slides related to shopper and brand marketing activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related professional shopper marketing and/or ecomm experience in the CPG industry, with preference for retail focused experience
  • Experience with “hands on keyboard” management of retailer shopper marketing platforms (e.g. Walmart Connect, Target Roundel/Criteo) at a CPG company or agency
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of retailer media optimization, including keyword and ad optimization with a goal of improving performance
  • Experience working with sales and retailer teams on shopper marketing and merchandising support plans
  • Managed shopper marketing budgets, at annual/monthly level, as well as specific program forecasts
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills to work with people in diverse functional areas; excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize accordingly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present internally
  • Ability to take initiative, apply an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Can easily flex between high-level, strategic topics such as planning, and detail oriented topics, such as platform management and optimization
  • Knowledge of the retail landscape, CPG selling process and experience working with sales teams
  • Experience managing marketing budgets
  • Willing to dive into the details and get hands dirty
  • Growth and continuous improvement mindset

We’re looking for a Senior Food Scientist to support the development work associated with our exciting pipeline of projects!

This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tues, Weds, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.Some additional travel may be required for this role.

As Senior Food Scientist, you'll:

Primary

  • Manage Ingredients/Formulas in nutrition software
  • Be responsible for all calculations for packaging
    • Us vs. them
    • Net carbs
    • NFP
    • Ingredient declaration
  • Be responsible for prototyping, formulation, pilot production and scale-up to plant implementation of innovation & renovation projects
  • Create technical documents, specifications and cook preps
  • Manage Lab Inventory needed for prototypes and samples
  • Manage Internal Sensory testing - including analysis of results/recommendations of next steps
  • Coordinate benchtop sample requests to ensure samples/prototypes are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Secondary

  • Provide technical support to Operations/Manufacturing Team for commissioning of innovation and renovation projects
  • Leverage R&D resources at manufacturing facilities to increase technical capabilities for product/process improvement initiatives
  • Support ingredient and formulation trial plans
  • Ensure compliance to internal and external policies, quality standards and legal requirements
  • Provides support in building technical expertise and maintaining a community of best practice to technical colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and complete records with a high level of organization
  • Handle product cuttings, testing and other duties as assigned
  • Support team on shelf life testing - real time and accelerated

  • Possess strong product development skills in ingredient functionality, material selection and formulation to understand effects on finished product performance
  • A BS or MS degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or a related degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant concept to launch experience in formulation, start-up & continuous improvement or optimization projects
  • Previous experience with ESHA/Genesis or ProductVision
  • Ability to build strong trusted working relationships and rapport at all levels & demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Are familiar with the activities in Marketing, Market Research, Legal/Regulatory, QA and Manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Be able to travel up to 35%

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with demonstrable experience providing business partnership across operations team, at or with a CPG company, to join our growing team. This person will provide business partnership across the Ops team, and serve as primary liaison with the finance organization.

This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tu/W/Th in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.

As Senior Financial Analyst, you'll:

  • Provide financial analysis, models, insights & recommendations for key strategic decisions across all supply chain (COGS) areas of business management
  • Work closely with the operations teams to analyze business performance and quantify impacts to the rolling forecast
  • Contribute to the accuracy, transparency and predictability for cost of goods sold and the related KPI’s including material cost, production cost, distribution cost, business waste and mix management
  • Serve as primary support person between operations & finance teams, helping to ensure budgets and forecasts are appropriately managed with predictability and transparency
  • Have curiosity about and rigor around understanding how products are built, costed, optimized and continuously improved
  • Streamline efforts to improve financial performance of the organization and drive profit optimization
  • Analyze product and logistics costing to ensure we are achieving optimal results and mitigating financial performance risks
  • 3+ years professional experience, including experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an FP&A role within a fast-growing retail or consumer products company
  • Experience analyzing detailed supply chain costing data against budgeted margin profile and contracted prices
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central, Looker or other data visualization tools (preferable)
  • Understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals of financial statement analysis
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and adaptable with in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Loves building financial models in excel including complex formulae, automated worksheets and high data volumes
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and data-driven
