What your new team and job look like…

The Technical Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for the technical management and optimisation of our Salesforce environment and other related sales and marketing systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, understanding of business needs and strategic thinking, enabling the individual to design and implement scalable solutions, and integrate Salesforce with other systems. The specialist will also oversee other commercial systems like HubSpot , 6sense and Intercom, ensuring they are effectively utilised and integrated with Salesforce.

At Moodle, no two days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the sales process and implement solutions
  • Optimising lead creation and assignment process of inbound leads from our webforms and chatbot to our downstream sales teams 
  • Integrating new acquisitions in to our support systems and processes
  • Integrating new and existing systems in to Salesforce
  • Creating reports and dashboards 
  • Prioritising and processing inbound technical commercial requests related to commercial systems as well as new feature requests.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure any changes to products or services are reflected in training updates
  • Working with external vendors to resolve complex technical problems
  • Propose and maintain relevant information architecture in Salesforce & other related systems to ensure data cleanliness, alignment and standardisation of data across Moodle.
  • Helping us moving towards and maintaining Salesforce as our single source of truth

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills in English
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce and related systems combined with an understanding of sales and marketing business requirements.
  • Well developed relationship management skills, with proven ability to influence, earn trust and effect change across a wide range of stakeholders and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical skills including Excel skills with ability to analyse and make decisions based on data
  • A customer centric attitude.
  • Detail oriented and ability to document processes and guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, but also must be an enthusiastic team player with fresh ideas
  • Proven experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards to provide insights to the sales, marketing and finance teams
  • You feel comfortable working within remote-first teams
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce administration and development, including knowledge of Salesforce architecture, custom objects, and automations.
  • Experience managing data quality and integrity, including data imports, cleansing, and deduplication.
  • Experience in Salesforce security settings and permissions to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Flows,  Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning components.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations having integrated Salesforce with other systems, middleware, and usage of data migration tools.
  • Salesforce Administration Certifications

Extra awesome if you:

  • Understanding of Moodle ecosystem
  • Fluency in additional languages such as Spanish
  • Experience setting up a lead scoring model
  • Experience using Hubspot, tools such as 6Sense/Zoominfo, Live Chat tools such as Intercom

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP (bonus if you also have high-level Software Engineering experience)
  • Extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer:
    • Working with SQL, HTML, JavaScript (ES6), SCSS, and Bootstrap
    • Developing performant and accessible user interfaces
  • Programming experience in a medium to large-scale development environment (PHP)
  • Proven ability to identify, test for, and mitigate the broader impact of changes on the system
  • Ability to write developer and user documentation
  • Experience using Git and Jira
  • Experience with automated testing (we use PHPUnit and Behat)
  • Good knowledge of web application security, performance, and scalability
  • Experience working with Web Services and RESTful applications
  • Ability to follow a general roadmap for a component and take the project forward independently or while leading a small team

Some other things that are important to us:

  • You feel comfortable working within remote-first teams
  • You have experience working with other LMS platforms or, even better, with Moodle
  • You are fluent in English
  • You communicate well in writing—not only because we work asynchronously but also because you will work on tickets and interact with users in Jira
