  • Encourage increased participation in fall Oxfam Hunger Banquets
  • Conduct online research and compile spreadsheets related to the use of the Oxfam Hunger Banquet 
  • Ongoing data collection and entry, including updating databases with new contact information and event data, and recording all outreach efforts 
  • Fill order requests for event, concert, and festival materials

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

On the West Coast, increase financial support and engagement of a portfolio of existing high-capacity individual major donors and family foundations currently giving $10,000 or more annually, and mid-level donors giving at the $5,000 to $10,000 level demonstrating the capacity to give at the six+ figure level. Emphasis on deepening relationships with current mid-, major and Planned Giving donors, identifying new high value major and planned giving prospects, and expanding both the number and loyalty of these donors through networking, cultivation, and stewardship.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and implement a strategic plan for the cultivation and solicitation of an assigned portfolio of approximately 100-120 mid-level, major and planned giving donors, customized to provide high-level touchpoints that cater to lived experiences of west coast donors.
  • Qualify new high-capacity west coast donors with six, seven and eight figure capacity in consultation with prospect research staff on IGET.
  • Explore potential new prospect opportunities in partnership with research team and through making new connections with philanthropy, business, and foundation networks.

The Senior Financial and Data Analyst is a key member of the finance team, providing foundational business partnering for annual and project budgeting/forecasting. The position will co-develop data-driven reporting and analysis for the business and support standard reporting efforts to Oxfam International (OI), including specifically the annual CONSOL (Common Oxfam Norms, Standards & Objects in Ledgers) submission. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Budgeting Support (40%)
•Work with the Associate Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to develop and maintain financial models for financial planning purposes in accordance with annual targets set by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
•Partner closely with countries, budget managers, divisional leadership, and the Strategy team throughout the annual planning process to understand operational resource needs.
•Support budget managers through the bottom-up process to prepare department and project budgets, to address resource requirements of divisional and cross-functional annual operating plans.

•Assist in on-boarding of new budget managers.
•Support directors and budget managers to ensure that annual and project budgets are complete, accurate, and conform with OUS policies, procedures, and donor-approved restricted project budgets.
•Work with the Associate Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to analyze the budget and prepare financial reporting as needed, at the direction of the CFO, to support Board approval of annual budget.
•Work with Associate Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Award Management and Compliance, and key stakeholders to develop and maintain client-centric analytical tools, financial models, and business processes to streamline and improve reporting and budgeting procedures.

Reporting & Analysis (35%)
•Develop and produce the monthly management reporting package, at direction of CFO, for executive management, including monthly dashboards and variance analyses.
•Provide decision/analytical support and ad-hoc management information reporting as assigned.
•Provide a positive redundancy for timely and accurate annual and periodic CONSOL-compliant reports to support decision-making by OI and OUS management.
•Run ad-hoc reports as needed in from the financial system (UBW and Power Bi), including standard reports as well as advanced queries to support analyses and/or client needs.

Business Intelligence and Budgeting Systems Analysis (25%)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Program Coordinator will be a central part of a new and growing unit that is focused on advancing economic and racial justice in the US and internationally. The role-holder will provide administrative and professional support, primarily servicing two major areas. Firstly, they will provide specific program coordination for shaping global efforts on economic ideas and policies; secondly, they will provide team coordination to the ERJ Department. The Program coordinator will be responsible for budget and resource management, grants and contract management support, and general admin support and reporting, and assist areas including event organization, desk-research (following all Oxfam protocols) and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program and Team Coordination: Under the supervision of the Program Manager for Global Economic Change, provide holistic professional and administrative support to international program on economic ideas and policies and to the ERJ team. Includes budget and resource management; grants and contracts management; organizing and documenting meetings and assisting with follow up; managing business processes, and flexible support as required. Specifically includes supporting event planning for convenings, and program governance (of internal and external advisory stakeholders), and also support cooperation of ERJ “community” (departments across OUS working on ERJ): organizing knowledge exchange, quarterly internal meetings, a collective calendar and updates; and aiding internal reporting.

Across both areas the role-holder will be responsible for:

  • Budget and resource management
    • Monitor restricted and unrestricted budgets and assist team members with updating financial tracking systems, preparing expense reports, and maintaining financial records;

Qualifications

Job Description

The Campaigns Department at Oxfam challenges US policymakers in government and the private sector to better address inequality - and we are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intern.  The intern will be a core member of the campaign team and will gain experience in public campaigning, research, and advocacy on a wide range of issues from supporting workers and fighting to rein in corporate power, to addressing climate change by ending the era of fossil fuels, to demanding a last ceasefire in Gaza, and urging people to get out the vote and protect democracy, and more!

The Campaigns Department Intern will provide organizing, research, and administrative support for several key projects, including campaign stunts and tactics, and supporting the management of Oxfam’s Sisters on the Planet Ambassadors program.

The Intern will have the opportunity to gain practical organizing skills and get an inside understanding of campaigning, lobbying, grassroots organizing and outreach within a global organization. The internship offers a friendly and open work environment of supportive staff with whom to share knowledge, career advice, and workplace mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research support and capacity to Campaign Leads and Organizing Advisors on campaign issues and tactics, organizing and events such as musical festivals and other volunteer recruitment,  Congressional targets, external landscape and more as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for campaign meetings as needed by capturing and sharing meeting notes and action items.
  • Provide technical and logistical support for Campaigns’ webinars, trainings and virtual events.
  • Support the management and recruitment efforts of the Sisters on the Planet Ambassadors program by maintaining an online program database, preparing and sending mass emails, supporting event management, tracking social media activity, and researching prospective Sisters for recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Support the Campaigns Specialist with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) initiatives through activity tracking and data management and producing dashboards summarizing campaigning, organizing and influencing work.
  • Support knowledge and information sharing and management processes by maintaining Campaigns’ Box folders through uploading and organizing files in the appropriate folders as needed, sharing files and folders with Campaigns and other Oxfam staff as needed/upon request, tracking and disseminating information on campaign activities, and supporting the management of campaign calendars, newsletters and reports.
  • Provide other administrative and project support to the Campaigns Department staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • The intern should have or be pursuing an undergraduate degree or higher, or have comparable work experience;
  • Strong organizational, writing and communication skills;
  • Ability to work well with others;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Previous administrative and research experience preferred;
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Zoom and Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Interest in furthering knowledge about Oxfam and global social justice issues, and high level of personal energy and commitment;
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner, and a team player with a strong commitment to social justice and alignment with Oxfam’s core values
