SUMMARY

The Instructional Designer will develop high-level, interactive curriculum content focused on pedagogical training for adult learners. The curriculum will be used to train new hires to become technology instructors, though the focus of the content will be on teaching methodology, not technology. Materials will be built from a working outline, which lists skills that need to be represented in the curriculum. There are also online links to reference material. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to create dynamic, engaging, and user-friendly content that itself uses best-practice instructional methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Curriculum Development

  • Interpret and synthesize content points from a curriculum outline and create dynamic, representative materials that engage and stimulate learners
  • Design materials that feature cutting-edge technology and a bold visual display, while at the same time using best-practice instructional methods, including lesson objectives, agenda-setting, and assessment materials linked to the objectives
  • Using the provided reference material as a launching pad, research learning topics and add authoritative source material
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and integrity of the curriculum development process
  • Demonstrate ability to develop curriculum materials that include daily lesson plans and guidelines for instructional staff

Lead Instruction

  • Deliver dynamic, interactive day-to-day training that prepares learners for careers as instructors in the technology field. Delivery includes instruction, assessment administration, attendance monitoring, small group or one-on-one tutoring, evaluation, and monitoring of individual student progress.
  • Work closely with the team to identify learner needs and provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular learner-status meetings.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with learner grades, certification, scores, and progress notes.
  • Create, submit and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, and/or any other classroom materials.
  • Maintain a minimum of an 80% class pass and graduation rate for every cohort

Collaboration with Team Members

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet ongoing, weekly deadlines
  • Collaborate with SMEs, staff members, and possible other designers to create uniform curriculum content

Qualifications

  • Degree, certification, or demonstrated expertise in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a comparable field; plus three to four years of related work experience
  • Experience with creating digital or online curricula that will be used directly in live, on-premises classes 
  • Experience with, or expertise in, adult-learning or pedagogical subject matter
  • Excellent project-management skills and demonstrated experience with project management tools and programs
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of the major LMS, i.e., Canvas or Blackboard
  • Proficient with Web2.0 tools/mobile apps as well as other learning technology tools for lecture capture. Able to navigate the Google Suite of services

Per Scholas has embarked on an exciting growth strategy where a key pillar is successfully delivering training that directly reflects employer demand for technology roles and funder-specific requirements in our training delivery.  We are building a new team that sits at the critical intersection of our client (both employers and funders) accounts and training delivery and implementation.  Per Scholas seeks a Senior Vice President, Solutions Delivery to build, manage, and operationalize this new team.

As both an external connector and an internal operational systems builder, you will translate employer and funder requirements into business requirements for our training delivery teams.  You and your team will then translate these business requirements into detailed project management plans providing the coordination, capacity, and communication to ensure all involved have the information, tools, and support they need to effectively implement the requirements.   This will all be accomplished through an inclusive, collaborative process that leverages your skills as a relationship builder and connector across a complex organization.  

Additionally, you will lead the Expansion team, in partnership with the Senior Director, Expansion, responsible for new market due diligence, new market relationship building, communications, and project management ensuring close partnership and execution with the training organization. 

The Senior Vice President, Solutions Delivery will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and manage a team of Solution Delivery managers, project managers, and the Expansion team.   

 

Service Delivery and Recovery

  • Builds and leads a team of Solution Delivery managers who are the primary point of contact for Per Scholas Account Managers and clients, as needed, for implementation, management, delivery, and service recovery of client-defined programs.
  • In partnership with Account management, develop systems and processes for client communications, reporting, quarterly business reviews, contract negotiations, and issue escalation and resolution. 
  • Ensures the process for developing functional business requirements and specifications for clients is translated into business requirements including well-written use cases and process development.
  • Partners with the VP, Account Management to to obtain requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, workflow analysis and use cases.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by acting as the client advocate on operational and service management matters, while also balancing the needs and resources of the training organization.
  • Serves as a critical escalation point for the Solutions delivery managers for service requests, incidents and problems for clients, working with internal partners to develop innovative solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective internal communication plans/methodology
  • Oversee and ensure contractual service level agreements and operational initiatives
  • Cultivate relationships with operational stakeholders and extended business partners.
  • Drive prioritization and ensure the delivery commitment based on capacity and business value to the organization.

Project Management

New Market Expansion

Per Scholas is seeking a Director, Development to join our growing national development team. You will hold key responsibilities in funder relations, corporate engagement, prospecting, grant writing, individual giving and organizational storytelling and support Per Scholas bringing its innovative model to new cities nationally. The role will specialize in revenue-raising, particularly for large institutional investments, for new Per Scholas expansion sites; lead the cultivation and stewardship of relationships in new markets; and plan and meet national expansion revenue targets. The role is a part of a dynamic team of development professionals across the country and will work closely with the National Expansion Team and local Managing Directors of new markets as well as the SVP, Development to meet our revenue targets and grow our programs across the country.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

Portfolio Leadership

  • Work with SVP, Development on the implementation of a new market fundraising strategy to achieve a $2.25M+ annual goal in 2022. Work closely with Managing Directors, other Development team members, Communications team members, and other departments to achieve new market fundraising goals, and to support the organizational goal of growing Per Scholas’ presence to 25 cities by 2025.
  • Identify and research relationships with new corporate, foundation, government, and individual funding sources to launch and scale successfully in partnership with the SVP, Development and local campus leads. (Limited prospect research support may be available from other team members, including consultants.)
  • Lead identification and cultivation of relationships with new corporate, foundation, and government funding sources with potential to support Per Scholas national expansion, coordinating as needed with other teams and executives (including the CEO). 
  • Synthesize information from National Leadership, National Training team, Social Ventures team and Salesforce database to articulate expansion goals, activities, anticipated outcomes, etc. to funders. 
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and compelling collateral to support donor cultivation in new markets including, but not limited to: slide decks; one-pagers; letters of interest; grant proposals; reports; and other materials that are responsive to donor guidelines, including assembling required documentation and budgets. (Support for some grant writing may be provided by other team members.)
  • Build funder relationships on behalf of the organization that can be effectively transferred following launch of a new market to the Managing Director and market-focused fundraising colleagues.
  • Research market trends and conduct data analysis to develop proposals, inform policy briefs, and keep the team aware of evolving opportunities.
  • Work with local and national program teams to forecast revenue projections for expansion markets in collaboration with the SVP, Development. Coordinate with the Development Operations team to forecast organizational cash flow and track funds received, ensuring revenue tracking is up to date.
  • Contribute to accurate and up-to-date development record-keeping in Salesforce and other development systems

 

Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with the National Expansion Team and new campus leads to grow brand awareness, particularly among funders, and activate growth/expansion opportunities for new expansion markets.
  • Collaborate closely with the National Expansion Team to conduct preliminary discussions with key local constituents, including funders, employers, nonprofits, and government leaders in New Markets while ensuring all relevant leadership are appropriately looped into these conversations.
  • Coordinate and attend key funder meetings and site visits as a representative and ambassador of Per Scholas.
  • Steward relationships with current funders to ensure continued and expanded giving, including tracking and monitoring relevant opportunities, funder deadlines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with communications staff to leverage communications opportunities for development purposes and ensure consistent language and branding.
  • When relevant, engage in individual donor activities including events and donor campaigns, and lead development aspects of planning and execution of local fundraising and cultivation events and activities.

OVERVIEW

The Events & Communications Consultant is responsible for strategic bodies of work at the organization including Events, Thought Leadership, and External Positioning, and Earned Media/Public and Relations. The Consultant will partner with the Senior Manager of Events and operate as a subset of the Marketing team. Earned Media/Public Relations

We're searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Accounting team.   • Manage all vendor payments and expense reimbursements via check, ACH, and wire through weekly payment runs
  • Maintain all vendor files including obtaining W-9s
  • Manage an AP team of two
  • Review and approve processed accounts payable invoices for accuracy of G/L codes and proper authorization
  • Manage vendor inquiries regarding invoice payments and determine an acceptable solution
  • Assist with the management of AP email inboxes to ensure all requests are responded to in a timely fashion
  • Monitor on a weekly basis AP aging and the exception reports such as invoices on hold, invoices pending approval, and pending G/L coding, helping AP analysts resolve issues and minimize past due invoices
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the AP Sub-Ledger and the General Ledger
  • Enforce policy by way of expense submission and review
  • Manage the company’s corporate card program
  • Supervise person who reconciles charges on credits cards and purchasing cards
  • Be responsible for vendor 1099 filings and year-end reporting requirements
  • Maintain and publish monthly core schedules and reports, including AP key performance indicators
  • Support monthly financial close process, including preparing account reconciliations
  • Work within multiple entities to ensure standard processes are being followed across the organization
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas that can be improved for better efficiency and controls through automation
  • Assist with projects, and ad hoc requests as necessary

Here’s what you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Experience in processing Lease agreements, Expenses, and Invoices required
  • ERP system experience in SAGE Intacct, procurement, or a similar system is preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:
Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of work experience related to DevSecOps and Cloud Computing skillset.
  • Knowledge of DevOps culture, Agile/Scrum, and SDLC/STLC
  • Proficient in at least one Object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, Scala, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, virtualization, containerization, SaaS/PaaS/Iaas, and cloud infrastructure.

The Senior Director, Product Engineer - Cyber Security, AWS, EUDS is a new position at Per Scholas focused on the ongoing innovation, design, and creation of our Cyber, IT Support, and EUDS curriculum to ensure a learner-centric experience to teach the most in-demand skills in entry and mid-level roles. This role is uniquely responsible for the ongoing effectiveness, quality, and innovation of our Cyber, IT Support, and EUDS Curriculum based on the needs of employers, market trends, and partner feedback across all the modalities that we deliver these subjects including in-person and remote training. 

The Senior Director, Product Engineering will work collaboratively with our curriculum design and development teams, our learning management systems implementers, and our adult learning subject matter experts. Additionally, this role will regularly support, train, and provide professional development for both our Cyber, AWS, and EUDS instructors as well as other instructors who wish to upskill. 

The Senior Director, Product Engineer will report to the Vice-President, Quality and Product Engineering. KEY

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Cyber, IT Support, and EUDS Product Design and Innovation 

  • Develop ideas for enhancing our current Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum based on Learner Experience Design principles based on both employer demand and the needs of our learners 
  • Identify changing employer needs in entry to mid-level Cyber, AWS, and EUDS roles and develop a 1-2 year roadmap for our curriculum 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of our Cyber, AWS, and EUDS learners and the instructors and use this to inform the ongoing development of the Curriculum
  • Perform constant market analysis of competing products, changing hiring trends, and employer needs to identify gaps and propose solutions in our existing Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum
  • Develop prototypes for Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum to test before implementing at large 
    scale across the organization, incorporating best practices from adult learning pedagogy from our internal subject matter experts
  • Creating prototypes across all modalities that Cyber, AWS, and EUDS is provided in, including in-person and remote leveraging our remote learning subject matter experts
  • Analyze feasibility, cost, and effectiveness of prototypes
  • Coordinate with Curriculum Design and Development team to enhance the Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum with successful prototypes
  • Document changes made to the Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum 
  • Assists in designing a complete project, system, component, or process.                                          

Instructor Development

  • Creates learning paths and upskilling opportunities for instructors and instructional staff both currently teaching Cyber, AWS, and EUDS courses or others that would like to upskill in an area.
  • Ensures curriculum is “instructor-ready” and works with the curriculum design/development team to create the necessary resources. 
  • Responsible for onboarding new instructors ensuring a level of knowledge, understanding, and consistency in the delivery of the Cyber, AWS, and EUDS curriculum. 
  • Conducts periodic classroom observations to ensure quality and consistency, providing feedback and connecting instructors to upskilling. 
  • Participates in the hiring process to ensure instructional staff can maintain quality instruction for their center of excellence. 
  • Employer/Funder-facing for their areas of expertise. 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years working in Cyber, AWS, IT SUPPORT, or EUDS roles 
  • 5+ years working in Product Management, Curriculum Design, and Development, or Product Design roles 
  • Experience in Project Management is highly preferred 
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning pedagogy a plus 
  • Demonstrable experience working in inclusive, collaborative ways to develop solutions

Summary

The Senior Manager, Delivery & Impact is responsible for Admissions data analysis as well as monitoring key performance indicators to ensure the team successfully meets the Admissions enrollment benchmarks annually. This role will routinely monitor the Admissions pipeline and enrollment targets across all campuses, craft potential strategies to drive towards benchmarks and provide support as needed to Admissions Team members and campus leaders. 

To ensure consistency and scalability, this role will lead Admissions new hire onboardings and routine Admissions trainings to support campuses.

National Learner Admissions 

  • Support the implementation of an admissions strategy that highlights the pillars of equity, innovation, and accessibility and supports the scalability and growth of local markets. 
  • Partner with local admissions teams to understand, process and problem solve pipeline workflow opportunities.  
  • Collaborate with local Admissions teams to support the admissions process to effectively meet training demands and drive results.
  • Provide additional admissions support as needed to vet learner candidates, troubleshoot challenges, and implement best practices.
  • Provide direct admissions support to markets in the absence of a local Admissions team member to review, screen, assess, and interview learner candidates to meet site enrollment demands. 
  • Collaborate with the National Recruitment Team to ensure admissions workflow, particularly pipeline development, is driving the necessary number of quality applicants through the process. 

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor the organization’s Enrollment KPIs and provide routine analysis to include gap to goal projections on KPIs.
  • Implement a site-specific data entry scorecard to highlight opportunities for growth to achieve data validity and consistency. 
  • Analyze the admissions pipelines of all campuses for customized & market-driven training tracks.
  • Provide frequent data analysis reports/scorecards to the Senior Director of National Admissions and flag any issues that might impact national enrollment benchmarks. 
  • Work closely with team members to brainstorm solutions for any skills gaps identified.
  • Audit data and provide process training support for sites in need of improving data entry, specifically noting assessments, interview outcomes, and Admissions Stages.
  • Provide data reporting support and management as needed in response to specific requirements, funder requests, and deadlines. 
  • Utilize Salesforce and Hubspot to track learner candidates through the admissions process and create reports in Salesforce/Hubspot as needed to effectively analyze and audit each campus's workflows.
  • Monitor, organize, and track admissions pipeline data in Salesforce, particularly in comparison to the specified goals for each campus.
  • Lead monthly meetings with the Senior Director of Admissions and Senior Director of Recruitment to provide an overview of Hubspot and Salesforce Pipeline and Enrollment analysis and solutions to mind the gap, if applicable.

 

Delivery & Impact

  • Work collaboratively with local leadership to onboard new Admissions team members. 
  • Increase continuity and alignment across all sites by executing a strategic onboarding plan for each Admissions new hire that supports their growth and success in the organization.
  • Provide ongoing support to Admissions new hires for their first 90 days by leading virtual bi-weekly Onboarding Coffee/Tea Chats.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to discuss the admissions process at each site and identify training needs based on skills gap analyses of their Admissions and Enrollment process.
  • Assist with designing and delivering training for Admissions within the organization.
  • Partner with local admissions teams to provide additional Salesforce/Hubspot support as it relates to standardizing the CT & MDT admissions process across the organization and effectively leverage automation while balancing the need for human touch.

The Director, of Solutions Delivery, will partner with our Account Managers to directly interact and support our client requirements and requests to ensure successful delivery and service recovery.  They will serve as the primary contact for the client for delivery questions, issue escalation, and change requests.  At the same time, this position will direct the project management team to ensure the successful implementation of client requirements and will interact with all internal parties involved in the successful delivery of the client program. 

The Director, Solutions Delivery will be equally adept at building trusting client relationships as well as trusting and productive cross-functional relationships across the organization.  This position will interact with both local campus leadership as well as functions ranging from recruiting, admissions, technical instruction, and professional development coaches.  The successful candidate will be a master at leading through influence, managing client relationships, and a high level of detail orientation to ensure successful delivery of client requirements. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Primary point of contact for Per Scholas Account Managers and clients for implementation, management, delivery, and service recovery of client-defined programs.
  • Partner with Account Management on client communications, reporting, quarterly business reviews, contract negotiations, and issue escalation and resolution. 
  • Evaluate, identify and develop functional business requirements and specifications for clients. Translate business requirements into well-written use cases and business requirements.
  • Works with Account Managers and clients, when necessary, to obtain requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, workflow analysis, and use cases.
  • Evaluate the information from those multiple sources to develop an understanding of the clients' business requests and needs and translate them into applicable operational requirements.
  • Partner with project managers to translate documented business and operational requirements into an actionable project plan.
  • Implement large-scale solutions across multiple geographies, learning modalities, and courses that both meet client needs and balance local needs.
  • Work cross-functionally across curriculum development, recruiting, admissions, technical instruction, and various other teams in support of successful implementations
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by acting as the client advocate on operational and service management matters. 
  • Oversee 100% of the service requests, incidents, and problems for the clients you manage, working with internal partners to develop innovative solutions.
  • Accountable for setting internal communication plans/methodology
  • Manage contractual service level agreements and operational initiatives
  • Build a relationship with each client based on trust and integrity
  • Cultivate relationships with operational stakeholders and extend business partners.
  • Assist with the prioritization and ensure the delivery commitment based on capacity and business value to the organization.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with Sales and Account Management Teams, the National Training Team, and Campus Leadership.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Per Scholas is seeking a Director, Development to become a member of the national development team. You will hold key responsibilities in team leadership, managing a dynamic team of development professionals focused on fundraising for campuses in the Southern Region (currently the National Capital Region (NCR), Baltimore, Atlanta and North Carolina, with additional campuses expected to launch in 2022+, including Orlando) towards an annual fundraising target of $7M+. 

 

The successful candidate will also specialize in revenue-raising for large institutional investments for 1-2 ‘assigned’ campuses (ideally including the NCR campus), ensuring proactive cultivation and stewardship of both existing and new funder relationships, with a significant focus on external-facing activities. You will hold key responsibilities in funder relations, corporate engagement, grant writing, individual giving and organizational storytelling, and will work closely with local Managing Directors as a thought partner and collaborator to meet revenue targets and grow our programs throughout the region. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

Portfolio Leadership and Relationship Management (for assigned campuses)

  • Lead relationship management for assigned campus funding portfolios, including proactive management of relevant cultivation and stewardship activities (including supporting local campus leads and National Leadership team in maintaining external relationships with new and current funders); tracking funder deadlines and deliverables; and monitoring new opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy with local campus leads to support and expand operations in assigned markets, as relevant.
  • Attend and prepare for key funder meetings and site visits as a representative and ambassador of Per Scholas.
  • Lead identification and cultivation of relationships with new corporate, foundation, government, and individual funding sources with potential to support assigned campuses, and work closely with the Managing Director and National Leadership Team to cultivate opportunities and lead engagement process. (Limited prospect research support may be available from other team members, including consultants.)
  • Synthesize information from program staff and Salesforce database to articulate goals, activities, anticipated outcomes, successes, challenges, etc. to funders. Ensure updated market research and data analysis supports proposals and informs white papers or other external reports. 
  • Coordinate with local program teams and fiscal departments to gather all needed information and collateral to prepare and write accurate and compelling letters of interest, grant proposals, reports, and other materials that are responsive to donor guidelines, including assembling required documentation and budgets. (Support for some grantwriting may be provided by other team members.)
  • Work with local and national program teams to forecast budget projections for assigned campuses. Coordinate with the Development Operations team to forecast organizational cash flow and track funds received, ensuring revenue tracking is up to date.
  • Contribute to accurate and up-to-date development record-keeping in Salesforce and other development systems.
  • Lead development aspects of planning and execution of local fundraising and cultivation events and activities.
  • Participate in and provide support to quarterly Advisory Board meetings, and as relevant serve as a thought partner to the local campus lead to integrate the Advisory Board into the campus fundraising strategy.
  • Coordinate with communications staff to leverage communications opportunities for development purposes and ensure consistent language and branding.

 

Personnel Management

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching and training for the Southern region fundraising team, including Senior Managers, Associates, Consultants, and/or Interns in both internal- and external-facing roles.
  • Review and edit the work of other staff members, including Senior Managers, Managers, and Associates, as well as consultants and communications staff, to accurately reflect Per Scholas’ impact and growth strategy.
  • Work closely with the SVP, Development and other Development team members to develop relevant protocols and procedures and create more efficient systems.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) required 
  • 7-10 years of grant writing or general development experience
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant management experience

As a Manager of Learning Outcome and Reporting, you will support the Sr. Manager of  Learner Evaluation and Analytics in the gathering, processing, recordkeeping, and maintaining academic performance data used to perform lifecycle analysis of our training cohorts. The successful candidate will turn data into information and insight to support business decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create and maintain documents for record-keeping of learner academic performance data.
  • Develop and maintain grading and reporting schedules for each cohort.
  • Ensure that graded assessments are administered to learners in accordance with the curriculum and schedule for each training cohort.
  • Support Product Development Team by providing input on curriculum and its assessments.
  • Work in partnership with Technical Instruction, Site Director, and the Leadership Team to meet key outcome measures including certification, graduation, and retention.
  • Monitor that assessment administration guidelines regarding late submissions, retake, and tutoring are adequately followed. 
  • Make note of challenges presented during a cohort life cycle, including (but not limited to) issues with assessments, presentations, and assessment policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the data is accurate and presented in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with instructors to prepare adjusted class agendas and tutoring plans for underperforming learners (when needed). 
  • Assist in the development of grading rubrics (when requested).
  • Perform grade adjustments as needed while creating a record of such adjustments.  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:
Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with learning management systems such as Canvas.

The Operations and Finance Analyst is a new position at Per Scholas that will support our growing national footprint in the areas of operations (physical site support) and financial analysis (report production and research).  Operations at Per Scholas include but is not limited to: real estate management, site logistics, procurement support, safety and security, budget planning support, and expansion planning.  In addition to supporting the execution of these operations functions, the analyst will also be tasked with financial research and will be responsible for creating and maintaining a standard set of reports that will inform decision-making and resource allocation decisions.

 

Responsibilities of the Operations and Finance Analyst include:

Project Management and Site Support (~60%):

  • Assists in the planning and coordination of special projects, including but not limited to managing intranet and knowledge management tools, database management, survey administration, and creating reports from various sources
  • Develops and updates standardized dashboards and reports based on operational and fiscal needs; may include but is not limited to work in Vena, Smartsheet, MS Excel, and Google sheets
  • Runs ad-hoc reports from internal databases to manage daily and weekly operational performance
  • Researches operations best practices used by comparable organizations and tests viability for Per Scholas implementation
  • Works as a team member to ensure continuity, coordination, and efficiency of all initiatives and resources
  • Facilitates communication and presentation with sites we support nationally, and other partner departments
  • Performs ad-hoc budget reports for all departments under Operations and processes payments or transactions as needed
  • Arranges training sessions for Operations, Finance, and IT/IS staff
  • Refines Project Plan templates for operational work such as site moves and facility additions/changes
  • Facilitates Project Management meetings as needed in support of tracking operational progress and project spending

Financial Support and Analysis (~40%)

  • Supports the annual budget development process which includes establishing a time-bound project plan, convening key stakeholders for decision making, and supporting financial scenarios
  • Uses our financial systems (ERP and budget reporting) to gather and analyze financial data and transactions
  • Creates and maintains a set of standard reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and monitors drivers of performance for the board and executive team reporting
  • Sources and coordinates in-service training to headquarters and site staff on financial, operational, and technology matters
  • Assists programs managers with financial matters and reviews contracts 
  • Supports annual audit and year-end processes 
  • Participates as necessary in the development and implementation of financial management systems and software
  • Conducts analysis on historical lease and operational spending to determine baseline financial estimates based on city type and locale
  • Uses various techniques to determine operational cost outliers and areas for improvement
  • Determines target operational spend targets for new sites 
  • Works with the Finance team to build effective and efficient ways to track spending against budgets
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

For this role specifically,we are targeting a salary of$75,000with a range between $70,000 and $78,750 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.

  • Assume primary responsibility for the analysis and design phase of new curricula. (about 70% of time will be spent here)
  • Design slide decks for clients/funders highlighting the design choices made.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:
Professional Qualifications- 

  • A bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or at least 2+ years of instructional design in a high-paced environment. 
  • A background in Technology can be demonstrated with the following
    • A degree in computer science or similar field

Summary

The Senior Manager, Delivery & Impact is responsible for Admissions data analysis as well as monitoring key performance indicators to ensure the team successfully meets the Admissions enrollment benchmarks annually. To ensure consistency and scalability, this role will lead Admissions new hire onboardings and routine Admissions trainings to support campuses.

National Learner Admissions 

  • Support the implementation of an admissions strategy that highlights the pillars of equity, innovation, and accessibility and supports the scalability and growth of local markets. 
  • Partner with local admissions teams to understand, process and problem solve pipeline workflow opportunities.  
  • Collaborate with local Admissions teams to support the admissions process to effectively meet training demands and drive results.
  • Provide additional admissions support as needed to vet learner candidates, troubleshoot challenges, and implement best practices.
  • Provide direct admissions support to markets in the absence of a local Admissions team member to review, screen, assess, and interview learner candidates to meet site enrollment demands. 
  • Collaborate with the National Recruitment Team to ensure admissions workflow, particularly pipeline development, is driving the necessary number of quality applicants through the process. 

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor the organization’s Enrollment KPIs and provide routine analysis to include gap to goal projections on KPIs.
  • Implement a site-specific data entry scorecard to highlight opportunities for growth to achieve data validity and consistency. 
  • Analyze the admissions pipelines of all campuses for customized & market-driven training tracks.
  • Provide frequent data analysis reports/scorecards to the Senior Director of National Admissions and flag any issues that might impact national enrollment benchmarks. 
  • Work closely with team members to brainstorm solutions for any skills gaps identified.
  • Audit data and provide process training support for sites in need of improving data entry, specifically noting assessments, interview outcomes, and Admissions Stages.
  • Provide data reporting support and management as needed in response to specific requirements, funder requests, and deadlines. 
  • Utilize Salesforce and Hubspot to track learner candidates through the admissions process and create reports in Salesforce/Hubspot as needed to effectively analyze and audit each campus's workflows.
  • Monitor, organize, and track admissions pipeline data in Salesforce, particularly in comparison to the specified goals for each campus.
  • Lead monthly meetings with the Senior Director of Admissions and Senior Director of Recruitment to provide an overview of Hubspot and Salesforce Pipeline and Enrollment analysis and solutions to mind the gap, if applicable.

 

Delivery & Impact

  • Work collaboratively with local leadership to onboard new Admissions team members. 
  • Increase continuity and alignment across all sites by executing a strategic onboarding plan for each Admissions new hire that supports their growth and success in the organization.
  • Provide ongoing support to Admissions new hires for their first 90 days by leading virtual bi-weekly Onboarding Coffee/Tea Chats.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to discuss the admissions process at each site and identify training needs based on skills gap analyses of their Admissions and Enrollment process.
  • Assist with designing and delivering training for Admissions within the organization.
  • Partner with local admissions teams to provide additional Salesforce/Hubspot support as it relates to standardizing the CT & MDT admissions process across the organization and effectively leverage automation while balancing the need for human touch.

OVERVIEW:

Per Scholas is seeking a strong grantwriter to become a member of the national development team, playing a key role in a talented, high-functioning team raising more than $25M annually. The role will specialize in grantwriting and organizational storytelling for a diverse national funding portfolio, including researching, analyzing, and synthesizing diverse internal and external data sources to build a compelling case for support at an organization-wide level and across Per Scholas campuses.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Research and develop concepts and funding proposals to be submitted to major corporate and foundation investors, including collaborating with program staff across Per Scholas to develop and accurately portray program design and outcomes, and assembling required documentation and budgets in collaboration with Development, National Expansion, and Program teams.
  • Ensure timely and compelling stewardship reporting to donors in the national portfolio, in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Research and analyze both internal and external sources of data (on the tech industry, employment and labor data, demographics, workforce development/training, etc.), effectively incorporating this information into written deliverables.
  • Synthesize national program information from program staff and Salesforce database to articulate goals, activities, anticipated outcomes, successes, challenges, etc. to funders for national initiatives.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends that may be relevant to Per Scholas and keep the national grants team informed.
  • Prepare slide decks, one-pagers, and other collateral as needed.
  • Contribute to accurate and up-to-date development record keeping in Salesforce and other development systems, particularly tracking of funder deliverables. 
  • Although this is primarily designed as an internal-facing role, this individual may attend some funder meetings and site visits as a representative and ambassador of Per Scholas if desired.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Per Scholas is seeking a Development Director to become a member of the national development team. You will hold key responsibilities in funder relations, corporate engagement, grant writing and organizational storytelling for a diverse national funding portfolio. The role will specialize in revenue-raising from significant corporate accounts at an organization-wide level and across Per Scholas campuses. The Development Director will be a key member of a dynamic team of development professionals cultivating and stewarding both existing and new relationships, helping to plan and implement a national fundraising strategy to meet our revenue targets and grow our programs nationally. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead relationship management with at least 20-25 accounts; support relationships with at least an additional 15-20.
  • Lead identification and cultivation of relationships with new corporate funding sources with potential to support multiple Per Scholas markets or form national partnerships. 
  • Manage preparation of slide decks, one-pagers, and other collateral to support national donor cultivation. 
  • Steward multi-market corporate partnerships to elevate year over year giving, working with business solutions, customized training and volunteer engagement managers throughout the organization to ensure comprehensive account management. 
  • Attend and prepare for key funder meetings and site visits as a representative and ambassador of Per Scholas.
  • Coordinate with program teams, development leads, and sales teams to gather all needed information lead preparation of accurate and compelling letters of interest, grant proposals, reports, and other materials that are responsive to donor guidelines, including assembling required documentation and budgets.

 

  • Synthesize information from program staff and Salesforce database to articulate goals, activities, anticipated outcomes, successes, challenges, etc. to funders. Ensure updated market research and data analysis supports proposals and informs white papers or other external reports. 
  • Coordinate with communications staff to publicize grants and other corporate engagement activities to advance philanthropic relationships. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:

 

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) required 
  • 7-10 years of relevant development experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and copy editing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and on phone/ video 
  • Experience assembling and presenting compelling decks in pitch meetings
  • A track record of success in managing a portfolio of funders, particularly corporations and foundations
  • Proven research abilities, including gathering and interpreting data; funder prospecting experience desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Google Suite for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
  • Availability to travel 20-25% 
  • Capacity to attend key external meetings as the organizational representative

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Per Scholas seeks a sales professional to identify, qualify, and close large/complex enterprise customized training opportunities. You will establish relationships within targeted markets and sell directly to clients as well as through strategic channels. Success in this role is measured by achievement of sales revenue and meeting departmental goals.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead engagement process with customers, coordinate sales activities across customer organizations, and effectively execute the closing process.
  • Build professional, working, and consultative, relationships with clients and sales channels in established territory by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the clients within their industry.
  • Comfortability calling on fortune 500-1000. 
  • Measure all sales activities and processes with a robust implementation strategy, utilizing all corporate tools and resources available.
  • Cultivate opportunity pipeline and lead engagement process with customer and Per Scholas colleagues and negotiate terms.
