We are looking for a qualified and resourceful HR Coordinator to focus on our employee experience. This role will navigate a matrix environment while collaborating closely with the CDO and Executive Vice President. The successful candidate will help with developing, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, processes, and activities.

This person possess both administrative and strategic responsibilities in planning and administering important functions such as employee engagement and retention, training and development, and compensation/benefits. High-level focuses:


- Employee engagement (plan, coordinate, and execute activities/events)
- Payroll and retirement account processing
- Occasional talent acquisition and onboarding assistance
- Troubleshoot and counsel on employee concerns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local human resources, payroll wage and hour laws, and best practices.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures/processes, initiatives, and events to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
  • Schedule and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Maintain employee files and records protecting sensitive employer and employee information
  • Must maintain confidentiality about management or business information that is not available to non-management employees or those outside the corporate office.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Perform payroll processing, including bonus/incentive pay where applicable, tracking PTO, managing expense reporting, and benefit changes
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, organizational chart and contributes to the development of policies
  • Administer and manage employee engagement surveys, employee perks, employee birthdays & anniversaries, and recognition programs.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Additional HR training or experience is a plus
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Zenefits, Breezy.HR, Slack, Help Scout, Monday.com (preferred but not required)
  • Experience ensuring compliance with labor regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
