JOB SUMMARY:

Channel Marketing 

Channel adoption is key to achieving PrismHR revenue goals, and theMarketing Manager, Channel Adoption, plays a critical role. This position works with a variety of stakeholders to develop marketing programs to increase adoption and then manage the execution of those programs. 

  • Develop and implement marketing programs targeted at the SMB clients and worksite employees of PrismHR’s HRO customers to increase awareness and adoption of products and tools available to them through PrismHR and the PrismHR Marketplace.  
  • Develop profiles and buyer personas of the target markets and develop messaging strategy to reach them.
  • Develop and implement a communications program that increases awareness among PrismHR HRO customers of the sales and marketing resources available to them.

Channel Engagement 

  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of tools and programs designed to help PrismHR HRO customers better sell and market PrismHR solutions and services to their SMB clients and worksite employees. Examples of such tools include the Partner Relationship Management software (Zift), our custom sales tools platform (SEEDS), and our marketing consulting service called Marketplace Access Program (MAP).

REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

PrismHR is recruiting for a very hands-on manager  to lead our small but high output Technical Documentation team.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable multitasking as both a significant “individual” contributor, principal level technical writer, and as a manager providing people, project, and process leadership within our technical writing discipline.

This key hire must have extreme comfort producing technical documentation deliverables within a SaaS-based product infrastructure, and within a fast-paced, “parallel release stream” Agile software development environment.   This Manager must be comfortable engaging with technical teams to define and prioritize documentation deliverables, while proactively collaborating to define, streamline and mature processes impacting our technical writing function.

It is expected that this role is roughly 70% hands-on technical writing contributions, 30% management oversight and leadership.

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:                       

  • Lead the PrismHR Technical Documentation Team, first and foremost by example, to produce world-class, customer-facing web-based documentation for concurrent projects of varying complexity, scope, and duration in a highly Agile product development environment.
  • Collaborate across product development and delivery teams to ensure that project documentation objectives are identified and properly scoped up front.
  • Ensure that the voice of our technical documentation function is heard; work with peer leads and teams to minimize downstream surprises to the team.
  • Establish and / or refine technical documentation best practices, standards, and project tracking techniques.
  • Set the evolutionary vision for the team.  Develop and present the roadmap for PrismHR’s Technical Documentation function, and execute against milestones within that roadmap.
  • Proactively research and optimize the use of appropriate writing / editing tools within the team.
  • Collaborate with PrismHR’s support, training, and other customer-facing teams to continually enhance our product knowledge base.
  • Continual mentorship and cross-training of assigned team resources.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • 12+ years of experience producing customer-facing technical documentation guides, manuals, online help, and release notes for the web and mobile devices, within the software industry.
  • Several years of management responsibility of a technical documentation function, ideally for a software company operating within a Software-as-a-Service model.
  • Significant experience within a lead role at grooming, optimizing, maturing, and integrating a successful technical documentation function within a software product development organization.
  • A beyond novice level of Agile experience is a must.
  • Fully versed in modern versions of multiple technical writing “tools of the trade.”  Experience with MadCap Flare is highly required.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technical, business, and compliance-oriented concepts, and make them easily and succinctly understandable.
  • High attention to fit, finish, professionalism, and polish of technical writing deliverables.  Absolutely zero tolerance for typos and grammatical inaccuracies in documentation delivered to the end user.
