The ProVeg Incubator is the world’s first and among the leading Incubator and accelerator programmes for plant-based, fermentation and cultivated food startups.   • Develop, plan and host the programme curriculum for startups at the Incubator

1. Development Planning

3. Individual Giving Management

  • Oversee the cultivation of existing individual donors and encourage renewal, retention, and increased donor support.

  • Craft fundraising campaigns and oversee the writing of fundraising emails and letters. 



4. Management & Leadership

  • Build and manage the US Fundraising staff complement, including establishing annual objectives, providing regular feedback and appropriate recognition, conducting annual performance reviews, and supporting ongoing professional development.

  • Provide functional management to the Major Gifts and Foundations Manager and Digital Fundraising Coordinator (based in the UK and Germany, respectively).

  • Serve as a mentor to International Fundraising colleagues and support ProVeg country income-generation strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least four years’ experience in senior fundraising at a US-based non-profit, preferably with an international focus. A similar or additional corporate background would also be useful.

  • Evidence of successful proposal writing, from start to finish.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including documentation of all work, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively.

About ProVeg

ProVeg has offices in nine countries on four continents, including in China, South Africa, and the US, and in Europe in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium (soon), Czechia and Poland, as well as a programme in Spain and the UK.

ProVeg is a founding member of the European Alliance for Plant-based Food (EAPF) and one of the largest European Vegetarian Union’s (EVU) members. ProVeg and the EVU advocate to increase the production and consumption of plant-based foods and other alternatives to animal products. This is done through improving the level playing field for plant-based and alternative foods, increasing policy incentives and EU research budgets for these sectors, improving consumer information related to plant-based and alternative proteins, supporting sustainability initiatives, as well as removing barriers that impede the availability and affordability of plant-based and alternative products to animal foods.

About the EU Policy Manager role

The EU Policy Manager is a new position responsible for building on and expanding the European policy and public affairs environment to ensure that the strategic and operational plans support ProVeg’s objectives.

The EU Policy Manager will develop and promote policies and outreach plans that enable the growth of the plant-based and cultured food industry and reduce animal consumption, and influence relevant agriculture, consumer, environmental and health agendas primarily at EU level. In the UK, we have a small but effective team, which focuses primarily on delivering positive menu change in schools (our School Plates programme). We also run other campaigns, and influence policy as a co-founder of the Plant-based Food Alliance UK. ProVeg UK is a non-profit organisation, registered as a community interest company.

About the position

You’ll be working on School Plates, the flagship UK programme, to help school menus to become healthier and more sustainable by increasing the quality and quantity of plant-based food. You’ll support the School Plates Programme Manager to consolidate and grow the programme, carrying out a wide range of tasks, including research, liaising with our partners, and planning and implementing new aspects of the programme, such as a certification scheme and annual awards.

Since the launch of the programme in 2018, we’ve been responsible for at least 4.6 million school meals going meat-free or plant-based. This year we’re aiming to make it 15 million school meals! Can you help us build on the success of the programme, and take it to an even higher level?

Reporting directly to the School Plates Programme Manager, you’ll also work closely with our Director and Communications and Campaigns Manager.

  • Durchführung von Kochtrainings

    • Die Kochtrainings finden auf Auftragsbasis und überwiegend In-House bei unseren Kunden statt. Es handelt sich vorrangig, aber nicht ausschließlich um Veranstaltungen für Küchenleiter/-innen und Küchenpersonal.

    • Die Kochtrainings erfolgen meist im Rahmen eines Tageseinsatzes.

    • Die Themen der Kochtrainings orientieren sich an den ProVeg Food Services-Trainingsmodulen: https://proveg.com/de/was-wir-tun/fuer-unternehmen/food-services/trainings/ . Alle Lehrmaterialien werden vom ProVeg Food Services-Team entwickelt und bereitgestellt.

    • Regionaler Einsatz und spezielle Kompetenzen der Freelancer werden bei der Auftragserteilung berücksichtigt

  • Rezeptentwicklung

    • Für die Kochtrainings werden Rezepte entwickelt und dem Kunden sowie dem ProVeg Food Services Team bereitgestellt

    • Die bestehende Rezeptdatenbank von ProVeg Food Services mit über 300 Rezepten kann als Grundlage genutzt werden

    • Darüber hinaus kann Rezeptentwicklung im Rahmen von Projekten unabhängig von Kochtrainings erfolgen - diese wird auch als Sonderleistung honoriert

ProVeg International is hiring a Remote Penningmeester (m/v/x) voor de Raad van Toezicht

Over de vacature

ProVeg is 10 jaar en daar hoort een nieuwe fase bij. Directeur Veerle Vrindts omringt zich vanaf 2022 met een Raad van Toezicht van minstens 3 ervaren gamechangers (m/v/x) die ProVeg Nederland met hun netwerk, strategische kennis en financiële expertise naar een hoger niveau helpen tillen.

De Raad van Toezicht

De Raad van Toezicht van ProVeg Nederland bestaat uit drie tot vijf leden die samen met de directie binnen de internationale context de koers van ProVeg Nederland helpen bepalen. 

De onbezoldigde leden zijn trouw aan de missie van ProVeg en denken mee over hoe ProVeg haar werk nóg impactvoller kan maken. Als lid van de Raad van Toezicht ben je klankbord en steunpilaar voor directeur Veerle Vrindts over strategie en beleid en houd je toezicht op de uitvoering daarvan.


Penningmeester gezocht

Naast algemene leden zijn we in het bijzonder op zoek naar een penningmeester. Voor de rol van voorzitter en een algemeen bestuurslid zijn er al twee gegadigden, dus onze zoektocht gaat nu in de eerste plaats uit naar een ervaren, missie-gedreven en integere penningmeester (m/v/x) om vanaf januari dit drietal compleet te maken.


Job Details

In de rol van penningmeester zit je naast de directie ook af en toe samen met de medewerkers Financiën en Fondsenwerving om te sparren over financieel beleid, de jaarrekening en de begroting te controleren en relevante contacten aan te reiken voor de ProVeg Impact Club. Daarnaast denk en adviseer je mee over het het algemene beleid. De Raad van Toezicht komt minimaal 4 maal per jaar samen om (meestal onder het genot van een lekkere plantaardige maaltijd) te werken aan één van de meest dringende missies in de wereld: een halvering van de wereldwijde dierlijke consumptie in 2040. Gedurende het jaar ben je bereid ongeveer 8-10 uur per maand vrij te kunnen maken voor je bestuursrol. 

Mocht je op basis van deze vacature echter interesse hebben in een andere functie binnen de Raad van Toezicht, dan is een open sollicitatie voor Algemeen Bestuurslid ook welkom. 

We zoeken jou als je
- Energie krijgt van analytisch en strategisch meedenken over de theory of change, lange-termijn doelstellingen en professionalisering van een NGO die zich inzet voor een wereldwijde voedseltransitie
- Je zelf streeft naar een plantaardige samenleving en wordt daarbij gemotiveerd door de klimaatcrisis, dierenwelzijn, voedselrechtvaardigheid en/of gezondheid
- Een teamspeler bent die in staat is een coachende rol aan te nemen voor de directie en haar 11-koppige team van gamechangers met raad en daad te ondersteunen
- Je bent als penningmeester iemand met ruime financiële kennis en bij voorkeur ervaring met een ANBI-stichting. Dit omdat je in de rol van auditcommissie toezicht houdt op het financiële beleid van de stichting.
Jouw vaardigheden
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vloeiend in het Nederlands en Engels.
  • Je hebt een groot netwerk en/of expertise die je graag wilt inzetten voor het goede doel  
  • Je hebt ervaring met besturen van een non profit of commerciële organisatie of interesse om hier ervaring in op te doen en je volop voor in te zetten
  • Je bent als penningmeester iemand met ruime financiële kennis en bij voorkeur ervaring met een ANBI-stichting. Dit omdat je in de rol van auditcommissie toezicht houdt op het financiële beleid van de stichting.

Onze Missie

Ons voedselsysteem heeft dringend gamechangers nodig. Voor de planeet, voor onze eigen gezondheid, voor onze kleinkinderen en voor de dieren. De tijden van roekeloos de planeet uitbuiten zijn voorbij. Ook wetenschappers zijn unaniem: de schakelaar moet om. De toekomst volgens ProVeg? Die is plantaardig.


Verandering is mensenwerk. Daarom helpt stichting ProVeg mensen en bedrijven die willen veranderen. We begeleiden mensen om te kiezen voor minder dieren en meer planten op hun bord. Dat doen we met de Veggie Challenge, een lifestyle app die al bijna een half miljoen mensen wereldwijd inspireerde om minder vlees te eten.


Tegelijk werken we samen met de grote spelers die het voedselsysteem bepalen. Met bedrijven, ontwikkelaars van plantaardige en celkweek alternatieven, supermarkten, chefs en met influencers binnen media en politiek. Zo is mede dankzij ProVeg de receptuur van de HEMA appelkruimeltaart standaard vegan, introduceerde New York Pizza plantaardige kaas op pizza’s en is het Europese ‘vegaburgerverbod’ van tafel geveegd.  

We geloven in samenwerking. Juist ook met de voedselindustrie, met boeren en de overheid. Alleen ga je sneller, maar samen kom je verder. We redeneren vanuit oplossingen en mogelijkheden. Positief. Zo blijft ons team klein en geconcentreerd, maar brengt als een hefboom grote bewegingen teweeg. Een gezonde, diervriendelijke, milieubewuste, rechtvaardige en smakelijke toekomst is dichterbij dan ooit tevoren. 
Maar alleen als we samen ons voedselsysteem veranderen. Voor het te laat is.
Over ons
ProVeg werkt wereldwijd aan de vermindering van de consumptie van dierlijke producten. Het doel is om deze voor 2040 te halveren. We streven naar een wereld waarin iedereen kiest voor lekker en gezond eten dat goed is voor alle mensen, dieren en onze planeet. ProVeg werkt met overheden, private bedrijven, publieke instituties, medische professionals en anderen om haar doel te bereiken.

ProVeg Nederland is een zelfstandige stichting en onderdeel van ProVeg International. Waar nodig of nuttig werken we samen met de zeven andere kantoren in Europa, Azië, Afrika en Amerika. ProVeg Nederland bestaat uit een klein team van coördinatoren en een kernteam van tientallen vrijwilligers en stagiaires. We ontwikkelen en implementeren zowel Nederlandse als internationale projecten en campagnes.

Über uns

Die V-Label GmbH in der Schweiz, als Inhaberin der Markenrechte, koordiniert die internationale Zusammenarbeit beim V-Label. Das V-Label ist seit 1996 ein international anerkanntes und geschütztes Markenzeichen. Alle Entscheidungen werden in Zusammenarbeit mit den beteiligten vegetarischen und veganen Organisationen (z.B. Swissveg, ProVeg e.V. und VGÖ) getroffen. Da der Großteil der Zertifizierungsarbeit lokal in den einzelnen Ländern stattfindet, verbleibt der Großteil der der Einnahmen auch vor Ort, meist um die 90 Prozent. So kann die Kontrollarbeit professionell durchgeführt und lokale Organisationen unterstützt werden. Eine Lizenzgebühr geht an die V-Label GmbH in Winterthur zur Aufrechterhaltung des Markenschutzes und zur Ausweitung auf andere Länder und Produktkategorien. Darüber hinaus kofinanziert das Unternehmen auch die internationale Werbung für das V-Label mit, betreibt die internationale Website und die Datenbanken und sorgt dafür, dass die Kontrollen in allen Ländern gleich streng sind.

Zusammenfassung der Rolle

Die V-Label-Abteilung sucht eine Fachperson, die die internationalen V-Label-Lizenzgeber mit Wissen über Produktionstechnologien (hauptsächlich Lebensmittel, aber auch Kosmetik, Textilien etc.) und Qualitätsmanagement unterstützt sowie eigene Projekte zur Verbesserung der Qualität und Effizienz unseres V-Label-Zertifizierungsprozesses durchführt. Darüber hinaus werden die Verwaltung von Inspektionen sowie die Zusammenarbeit mit externen Kontrollstellen zu den Aufgabenbereichen gehören.

Erforderlich:

  • Bachelor- oder Masterabschluss in Lebensmitteltechnologie, Lebensmittelchemie, Ernährungswissenschaft, Biotechnologie, Pharmazie oder Kosmetologie, eine vergleichbare Ausbildung oder Erfahrung im V-Label Lizenzierungsverfahren

  • Gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (mindestens C2)

ProVeg International is hiring a Remote International CEO of V-Label GmbH (Ltd.)

Role Summary

The V-Label GmbH is looking for an international CEO that is eager to help grow V-Label globally by supporting the national V-Label licensors around the world.

About V-Label GmbH
V-Label GmbH in Switzerland, as the owner of the international trademark rights, coordinates the global cooperation on the V-Label. The V-Label has been an internationally recognized and protected trademark since 1996. All decisions are made in cooperation with the vegetarian and vegan organizations involved (e.g. Swissveg, ProVeg e.V., Vegane Gesellschaft Österreich). Since most of the certification work takes place locally in the individual countries, the majority of the income remains locally, usually around 90 percent. This allows the control work to be carried out professionally and local organizations to be supported. A licence fee goes to V-Label GmbH in Winterthur to pay international staff, maintain brand protection and to extend it to other countries and product categories. In addition, the company also co-finances the international advertising for the V-Label, operates the international website and databases and ensures through coordination that the controls are equally strict in all countries.
Job Details

Location: Winterthur or remotely from Switzerland, Austria or Germany.

Reports to: Board

Responsibilities
  • Business development of V-Labels global activities

  • Growing of V-Label across various dimensions (number of countries covered, number of product categories covered, average income per country, number of products licensed, number of customers, etc.)

  • Enforcement of contractual obligations

  • Professional support of our international V-Label licensors in questions of business development (sales, pricing, communication, HR, benchmarking, etc.). Mainly via email and instant messenger.

  • conducting own projects to improve quality and efficiency of the V-Label certification process (projects depending on qualification and interest)

  • Reaching and controlling the goals set by the V-Label advisory boards

  • Managing the V-Label international team (approx. 3  FTEs) 

  • Budgeting the organisation

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business management, ideally as international CEO coordinating national entities

  • Excellent leadership skills, experience with employee responsibility

  • Excellent written and verbal German skills (minimum C2)

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills (minimum C2)

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent intercultural competencies

  • Experience in sales and marketing

  • Experience in working in a complete remote situation (since Team is spread over several countries)

  • Assertiveness

  • Ability to work well under pressure, independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Pro-active problem-solving skills and ability to identify potential improvements 

  • A positive, proactive, respectful, enthusiastic and diligent work attitude


Preferred: 

  • Experience in certification business (like organic, ISO 9001, other standards, labels and seals) or gastronomy or food or non-food industry 

  • Every additional language skill is a plus (like Spanish, Italian...)

  • Basic knowledge of legal and contractual requirements (licensing, trademark rights)

  • Trainings or certificates in quality management

  • Experience in customer service
