Qualifications

Job Description

What does a Technical Consultant do?

  • Executes solution implementation, including any task that might be necessary to complete project deliverables. Examples include Training or mentoring, software configuration, content creation (CAD Standards, Civil 3D Styles Development), preparation of documentation, etc.
  • Assesses current client business processes, recommends and implements solutions to meet client needs. Works closely with clients to document business goals and related procedures.
  • Communicates with internal team members and clients, as necessary, to ensure project success.
  • Produces project deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Writes deliverable documents including procedures guides, best practices guides, agendas, and follow-up memos.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Five (5) years, minimum, of working experience in a civil/infrastructure environment is a must.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in an civil/Infrastructure-specific program or relevant experience. PE is desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure workflows (civil engineering, survey) relevant to the infrastructure design process.
  • Familiarity with design processes related to road design, site design, plan production, survey, GIS.
  • High proficiency and experience with water resources engineering, drainage, gravity and pressure systems, hydrology and hydraulics design and analysis.  Experience with Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA), Autodesk water industry programs (formally Innovyze) InfoDrainage, InfoWorks and InfoWater is highly desirable.
  • Experience and expertise in implementing BIM for infrastructure or 3D design solutions.
  • Highly proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Infrastructure Design Suite, AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of: AutoCAD Map 3D and Infraworks.
  • Experience with Bentley MicroStation, ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk ReCap Pro, NavisWorks, Vault, Inventor, BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and occasionally to Canada.
  • Due to government contract business, eligible candidates may need to pass a government background check for security clearance purposes.

Job Description

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams for projects and initiatives across any Rand division or business segment. The Project Manager's primary focus is to initiate, plan, execute, control and close approved projects within time constraints and within budget. Projects will be cross functional and require breadth and depth of experience in managing constraints, risk, issues, and schedule in a matrixed, cross functional environment. This person will be directly responsible for the facilitation of each project team to successfully commercialize all new products, solutions, or services to enhance the performance of the business. Project managers also must maintain a professional and collaborative presence during all project meetings, including client-facing engagements to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities 

Interface with internal technical employees and external contractors used on projects.

  • Review and approve billable time and expenses for internal technical employees and external contractors.
  • Ensure the quality of professional services provided.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define and manage project tasks, budgets, resource requirements, and full-scale project plans.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders.
  • Take ownership and manage project risk, issues, or other challenges that pose a threat to project scope delivery, timing, or budget.
  • Issue and integrate project change orders.
  • Act as the IMAGINiT’s point of contact with client facing projects.
  • Act as a brand ambassador; promote a very positive, professional experience with the client, increasing IMAGINiT’s standing and overall visibility in the marketplace.

Qualifications

  • PMP certification or working towards attainment, or relevant experience.
  • Diploma or degree in an industry related discipline such as architecture, construction, building, mechanical or civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Skilled in managing and resolving conflicting schedules and priorities.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Project Management experience.
  • Client-facing project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment providing clients with implementation services is desired.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with providing various Professional Services to customers on projects (Development, Business Analysis, Data Management, etc)
  • Must be able to relate with a diverse group of people with a wide variety of technical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
