We’re looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our high-performing customer success organization to help support our US SMB customers. BizOps at Sense is a cross-functional team that sits at the intersection of data, operations and strategy. As a centralized team we support all teams at Sense. We're looking for NLP engineers and data engineers, particularly those with an interest in dialog systems, natural language processing,  textual analysis, and recommendation systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and improve natural language tagging, ontology development and search infrastructure.
  • Designing machine learning systems and artificial intelligence (AI) software to automate predictive models, blended with heuristic-based approaches to solving customer problems.
  • Work with Backend and web engineers to ship features.
  • Work cross collaboratively with product managers and designers to improve and define product scope and design.
  • Ship cutting-edge AI to businesses that traditionally haven't had access to it

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience with building machine learning systems in a professional setting, with 2+ years specialisation in natural language processing
  • Experience with Python and Keras/Tensorflow/Pytorch is recommended
  • Experience with cleaning / processing / annotating data for training NLP models
  • Experience with deep learning techniques in solving NLP problems
  • Experience with Modern NLP libraries such as spaCy, CoreNLP, Gensim, NLTK is preferred
  • Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis
  • Interest to help shape the mission and roadmap of a team, and rallying others to join you
  • Eagerness to share your ideas, and openness to those of others
  • Experience building recommender systems a plus
  • Experience with ElasticSearch a plus

Job Description

The Director of Finance will play a key role in helping Sense build the business by providing in-depth financial and analytical support. This person will operate with a high level of independence and play a leadership role. You will be responsible for critical areas of the monthly revenue close cycle for a SaaS subscription-based model and be a strong technical accountant. Assist in all aspects of the accounting close in a hands-on role. Manage ad-hoc and special projects including overseeing the company's first annual audit, developing financial systems and analysis. Oversee the company’s daily accounting functions, while ensuring we build quality processes and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit deep understanding of SaaS business drivers and metrics including, but not limited to: MRR, churn, and valuations 
  • Demonstrate strong ability to understand the dynamics of an early stage growth firm in the SaaS space, use critical thinking and enable the firm's management to make strategic decisions
  • Perform & oversee financial planning/analysis, cash resource management & budgeting
  • Create financial models & provide ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Ensure all sources of revenue are properly reviewed and processed on a timely basis
  • Responsible for booking or reviewing all accounting entries into GL
  • Review contracts of varying complexity and recognize revenue accounting to GAAP standards
  • Help manage and analyze revenue share agreements with key partners
  • Perform month-end processes and reconciliations or review of reconciliations
  • Analyze and provide flux commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L
  • Assist in preparing for audits, providing audit support and managing audit
  • Establish and manage internal controls, guidelines, accounting policies and record retention.
  • Work closely with CEO and other executives on business analysis, budgeting, data, and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting and financial experience
  • BA in accounting, finance or economics or related field
  • Great team player and work ethic
  • Superior financial modeling and presentation skills
  • Comfort with data and ambiguity, and an ability to delve into details and adapt priorities on the fly
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations

Position Overview:

Job Description

We are looking for our first Revenue Operations Analyst [Remote], who is passionate about making an impact at a fast-growing company. You will help drive critical sales and revenue processes that help improve Sense’s business performance, design & build go-to-market reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, assist with deal structuring and execution, and govern key operational tasks to manage the business. 

You will play an important role in contributing to our strategic initiatives, both at the global and regional levels, and ultimately help scale our business in an effective way. You are a genuine and proactive team player and approach business problems in a structured, data-driven manner. 

What will you be doing?

  • Partner closely with various levels of leadership globally to execute actionable, measurable projects that accelerate sales growth (new & existing business) and improve our existing sales processes & operations

Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional experience writing software
  • Programming experience in Python or a similar language
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, relational databases, and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to working in a startup environment
  • A strong desire to learn and grow

One of the most powerful tools in our portfolio is the virtual assistant, which we call Reva (Recruiting Virtual Assistant), aka the Chatbot. Reva today can handle tasks such as scheduling meetings, collecting information from candidates, find the best jobs for them based on this information, and even prescreen them. But there's much more we (and our customers) want it to do.

As a member of Chatbot Back End Engineering team at Sense, you'll be intimately involved with bringing features for Reva from idea to completion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ship cutting-edge AI to businesses that traditionally haven't had access to it
  • Iteratively improve an AI system with thousands of requests per day
  • Given service requirements, keeping availability, scalability, performance, observability and recoverability in mind, come up with complete design around their implementation
  • Work with other engineers on the team to help drive implementation while owning certain parts of it as self-deliverables
  • Hold reusability, extensibility, right separation of concerns in high importance while designing at data & service levels
  • Own quality & performance “measures” of service/application, and work towards constantly & consistently improving on the same.
  • Mentor other engineering team members through code reviews, pair programming etc.

Qualifications

You have :

  • 5-10 years of experience in developing highly performant, horizontally scalable & fault-tolerant enterprise-grade services/applications

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, time & space complexity etc.

  • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C++ etc.

  • In-depth knowledge of RDBMS. Especially modelling, operational and performance aspects of it

  • You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers

  • You write testable, maintainable code that’s easy to understand

  • You have curiosity about how things work

  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS/SNS

  • Good understanding of building services with AWS ecosystem is a plus

  • Experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka and ElasticSearch is a plus

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning or NLP technologies is a plus
