As a Business Analyst, what do you do?

You take accountability for business requirements and ensuring that the solutions developed meet these requirements. You understand and can contribute to systems solution design. You can document both requirements and solutions and maintain such documentation. You get to build and maintain strong client relationships both internally and externally.

Must Have:

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent N3
• IT-related qualification
• 7+ years working as a business analyst in a software development environment
• Solid knowledge and experience of the SDLC
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous exposure to Agile Methodologies such as Scrum
• Some experience querying data using SQL
• Own transport
• The availability to travel if/when required

Nice to Have

• Retail experience
• Formal Business Analysis qualification(s)
• Formal Scrum or Agile qualification(s)

You should know:

This is a full-time remote work position. There may be occasions where you might be required to meet with clients at Head Office or travel to clients. Working remotely means that you need to be online during work hours, also during load shedding.

So, what does a day in the life of a retail software developer at Spinnaker Software look like? Well, besides starting your day the right way, you know with a cup of coffee and stand-up (team not comedy). You will dreamstorm features and craft functionality with your team. You'll then dive into coding, expanding our architecture and making sure it runs seamlessly. You might also work on integrations with third-party providers, such as payment gateways, loyalty systems, master data, ordering fulfilment and warehouse management systems. Our tech stack is MS SQL, Azure Devops and DevExpress.

We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our Technical Team.

As the QA Analyst your role will involve reducing the number of bugs that go to field.
Test bugs, tasks logged on TFS and ensure they have been fixed and programmed correctly according to the scope of the functionality

You should apply for this role if you have a passion for IT systems and previously worked in a retail environment. You should have an IT qualification, ISTQB certification is preferred.

You’ll enjoy this role if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects. A high level of attention to detail and your excellent people skills will be your key to success in this role.

This role is currently remote, you might be required at Head Office (Parklands, Cape Town) from time to time.
