Position Overview

Your role as an HR Business Partner will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR functions, implementing and aligning Third Bridge’s people strategy and priorities while supporting the business by delivering HR processes and tools, and be recognised as an employer of choice by driving our key HR principles. Reporting to the Head of People, Asia, we need a visible HR Business Partner supporting business unit leaders who are part of our executive management team and our managers. This role will have a particular focus on driving performance management in HK and South Korea, and supporting Hong Kong hiring initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of the business to create strong relationships with leaders to deliver business-aligned HR solutions that support business goals and objectives.
  • Leverage business data, metrics and external market insights to inform decisions
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive talent strategy, supported by succession plans to ensure the current and future caliber of talent needed to support the business, is in place.
  • Oversee and execute on the full spectrum of HR business partnering and operations including performance management, coaching, employee relations, engagement initiatives and exit interviews.
  • Implement employee engagement strategies to foster an environment based on respect and values
  • Partner on the HR strategy to ensure smooth delivery of the full suite of generalist activities alongside with our Centre of Excellence to deliver required programs
  • Accountable for Employer Branding initiatives, partner with Talent Acquisition team on various activities to  increase company presence in HongKong
  • Ensure compliance of employment laws 

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a HR Generalist or business partner role
  • Proven experience in HR with a strong generalist focus
  • Good knowledge of employment law
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data and trends
  • Project experience on Employee Brand would be a plus

Responsibilities

In this role your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Performing research on industries and businesses in Japanand the wider APAC ex-China region, in order to identify the most relevant individuals (C-level executives and practitioners working at the heart of their industries) to take part in moderated interviews
  • Engaging these individuals to invite them to participate in our research, while assessing and ensuring that their insights are relevant and their fees are within budget
  • Building a professional network and monitoring the relevant markets/companies in the assigned sector areas according to Forum content coverage strategies
  • Working in tight deadlines and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the logistics of our Forum Interviews throughout their life-cycle

 

Requirements

  • A real interest in financial markets and the alternative investments space
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with C-level industry experts on the phone
  • Demonstrable skill in carrying out phone-based and desktop research with a logical and focused approach
  • Self-motivated; a resourceful nature, with a diligent and proactive approach to their work
  • The ability to work well within a team, in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Positive and can-do attitude are essential
  • The ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

  • Fluent in spoken and written Englishand Japanese
  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Prior work experience (0-2 years) is an advantage but not required; the level of experience may vary, but what matters is your curiosity, drive and ambition
  • Immediate availability is desirable
