About you

  • 10+ years of overall Customer Success experience and at least 3 years in progressive senior leadership roles.  Global experience preferred. 
  • Experience with the Totango platform required. Other Customer Success Platform experiences are a plus.

We're looking for a rock-star Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team at Totango! 

This high impact role is responsible for product positioning, competitive analysis, and product marketing content development.  You’ll have a deep understanding of the customer and utilize insights to inform product definition and development in close collaboration with our Product Managers and engineering teams while working closely with our marketing, web and growth teams to deliver targeted customer experiences through our free trial and freemium experience that lifts conversion rates, grows revenue and viral loops that extend our reach.

You will be driven, and nimble enough to work in a rapidly changing industry, tolerate ambiguity, lead cross-functional teams through influence, and demonstrate problem-solving leadership.

What's your day look like?

  • Develop positioning, messaging, pricing and content related to our product’s benefits and differentiators, targeting different segments with goals of driving acquisition, lifting conversion rates, increasing engagement and growing revenue
  • Conduct customer, market and competitive research to understand the market and buyer landscape.  Share that knowledge cross-functionally to shape messaging, lead generation campaigns, and sales activities; as well as identify opportunities for growth
  • Work with cross-functional teams to distill key functionality and benefits and ensure consistent and impactful communication across channels to the market and customers (e.g., website, sales, Customer Success, partners and marketing campaigns) 
  • Be the voice of the user within the product team based on insights gleaned from advertising, website engagement, product data, member research, and prevailing market trends
  • Support the strategy and execution for new user onboarding. Identify meaningful moments to educate, engage, and introduce new members to product value. 

What makes you successful?

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with a SaaS based business
  • Proven track record of driving product awareness and adoption and monetization through a PLG model (free trial or freemium)
  • Well versed in translating customer needs and market demand into sharp and compelling messaging, content, sales tools, and campaigns to drive high velocity acquisition and high impact conversion, engagement and revenue
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in areas relating to customer engagement, customer experience, and / or Customer Success
  • Technical experience with marketing automation, CRM and customer success platforms, knowledge of Totango a plus
  • Use of data and insights: “geek” out on data with able to interpret data in order to develop and share customer insights to guide messaging and strategy
  • Goal focused planning and insight: skilled at defining and managing marketing goals, (and mapping tactical delivery) to align with objectives
  • Organized, ambitious, and high-energy that can embrace and navigate a fast-paced, ever-shifting environment
  • Ownership mentality and proven ability to meet deadlines, work collaboratively with others, and ensure high quality deliverables
  • Experience in building strong relationships with peers and stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, CS, and more
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Problem solver who is proactive, analytical, and innovative - never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent work experience required.
