        Responsibilities

        • Take complex concepts and bring them to life simply and beautifully.
        • Create graphic assets and contribute to visual design system in rapid iterations.
        • Define the next generation of customer experience by contributing to new methodologies and sharing best practices.
        • Explore the role of brand and how to use it to differentiate customer experiences.

        Qualifications

        • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in one of: Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Psychology (User Research), Computer Science or Engineering.  
        • 1+ years professional experience designing experiences and user interfaces for web-based desktop and mobile products.  
        • Working experience using HTML/CSS, SASS, Javascript, and modern presentation frameworks, such as Bootstrap, Durandal, Knockout, Angular, etc. 
        • An excellent portfolio showcasing frictionless gorgeous visual designs for a range of devices and platforms with user experiences in mind.

          Product Manager, Payments

          Ungerboeck is looking for a Product Manager with a SaaS background to set an outcome-oriented product strategy and deliver value to our customers. You will work with colleagues across product, design, marketing, engineering, sales, and the senior executive leadership team to solve customer problems, achieve a set of specific and collectively understood business objectives, and guide the overall direction of your product. Your success will be measured by how well you communicate vision, set expectations, build compelling cases for your strategy, and guide the overall direction of our Payments products.

          What you’ll do every day:

          • Identify opportunities to address customer problems and drive incremental business value across our Payments products
          •  Drive towards a long-term vision of making payments so seamlessly integrated that they “disappear” into the software, so our customers can focus on operating their business - not managing payments
          • Automate and streamline operational and accounting processes for our customers
          • Identify and capture opportunities to improve interchange and processing costs to improve margins and save our customers money
          • Identify and capture opportunities to increase consumer usage of electronic payments across all Ungerboeck products surfaces
          • Automate and streamline internal Ungerboeck processes involved in boarding, supporting, and maintaining payments customers
          • Create and execute a roadmap to deliver all the above consistently and scalably across multiple software platforms
          • Collaborate with leaders across Ungerboeck to achieve a vision for how technology, people, and process combines at different tiers of service for your products to deliver the right product-market fit
          • Spend considerable time talking to customers to understand how they think and behave, and use that insight to validate the right direction for the product
          • Clearly articulate the problems that need to be solved for your customers as well as Ungerboeck, and quantify the value to be created once those problems are solved
          • Communicate company-wide why you are making certain improvements, what you hope to learn from them, and how they fit into your overall strategy
          • Provide regular updates on projected milestones, progress, and results.
          • Oversee the changes being refined and implemented to ensure coherent vision and prioritization for the overall product
          • Objectively measure and broadly communicate the impact of the strategic bets and delivered work for the entire product

           

          What you need to bring to the table:

          • 5+ years of product management experience, centered in the vertically integrated software payments space
          • Strategic thinking. Can logically deconstruct market conditions, the competitive landscape, and industry trends to help frame which customer problems we need to solve now, next, and later
          • Analytical thinking. Understands the unit economics of your product and can make recommendations on how to invest time and resources to grow the product’s bottom line
          • Leadership skills. Building, growing, and supporting a team of Product Team players is a passion of yours
          • Resourcefulness in solving problems
          • Comfort with both the art (user empathy, design) and science (analytics, statistics, structured hypotheses) of product management
