You will be an embedded QA Analyst helping us deliver high quality interactive virtual concerts. You will work directly with team members from other disciplines and be involved in Game, Tools and Show QA.

Responsibilities

  • Share acquired project knowledge with fellow QA testers
  • Work in conjunction with the QA Lead to collect bug reports from available sources, email, /bug reports from in game users and other sources using the appropriate tools and channels
  • Learn to write and deliver test plans with the QA Lead
  • Apply a proactive approach in the QA Process on a consistent level
  • Journeyman testing – Must be able to think outside the scope of the test plan when appropriate (ad hoc testing, documenting negative test cases, etc.)
  • Test using VR hardware on a daily basis
  • Comprehend and execute assigned Test Plans and Projects
  • Report verified bugs to the QA Lead and bug database
  • General software testing and methodologies
  • Assure patches/updates, new builds and shipped products are functional and operate as intended
  • Review and Document bug reports
  • Follow QA Tester procedures outlined by QA Lead
  • Become proficient at the project(s) assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in QA
  • 1+ years of experience in the gaming industry
  • Working knowledge of the software development process

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks in Unreal Gauntlet and BuildGraph to facilitate automated testing for large scale load tests, daily smoke tests, E2E tests, and Synthetic Monitoring for LiveOps.
  • Create high quality automated tooling to improve quality of life and productivity for Development and QA teams.
  • Create and document high quality frameworks and processes to allow developers to rapidly create/maintain their own tests when necessary.
  • Develop sophisticated wrappers and injected code around our existing C++ and Blueprint systems to allow for direct automation of systems without affecting shipping builds.
  • Develop and maintain build and automation systems, with our DevOps team, in Unreal BuildGraph to enhance developer and QA productivity via a stable set of daily builds and automated services running on TeamCity, AWS, and our in-house build farm.
  • Perform code reviews
  • Identify and provide solutions for performance and architectural issues

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on coding experience working on games, mobile, or software applications in a commercial game engine
  • Strong C++ knowledge
  • C# familiarity
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks for commercial game engines (Unreal Gauntlet is a significant plus)
  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins, Horde or TeamCity.

You'll work with our Art Director and content team to create engaging, stylized VFX that enhance the live, motion-captured performance of musicians, singers, and DJs, ranging widely in style and mood. From fire breathed by a giant demon rapper, to ribbons of magic flowing from a violinist’s bow, to abstract effects yet to be imagined, your work will bring to life the movement and music of a performer in a way only possible in an interactive virtual concert environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Art Director, Creative Team, and Engineers to create visual effects that match support gameplay systems and environmental storytelling, ranging from stylized real world effects like weather, fire, smoke etc, to abstract audio visualization and UI
  • Handle all aspects of the VFX pipeline, which includes creating content from pre-visualization concepts to final polished assets in game
  • Assess artistic content and establish time and planning estimates by priority and importance
  • Assist in training and knowledge sharing with other members of the team, including in a mentorship role
  • Build and integrate assets into shows and find solutions that adhere to the style guide
  • Collaborate with technical artists and other senior artists to ensure the technical and artistic quality
  • Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm task direction
  • Work closely with the design team counterparts to shape and mold early design block-outs into spaces that work both for performances and desired art direction. 
  • Work closely with the Engineering, and Tech art teams to develop new workflows or improve upon existing tools and technologies to streamline efficiency. 
  • Efficiently communicate and support management and help communicate initiatives and company goals to the team
  • Oversee optimization and debugging to fix the issues raised by testers

 Required Qualifications

  • Strong Demo reel / portfolio demonstrating high level of visual artistry
  • Ability to create diverse, detailed and visually appealing VFX
  • Mobile VR development experience
  • Expert knowledge of UE4 Niagara Tools 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and has proven ability to self-manage and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and pipelines
  • 5+ years of VFX experience working in Unreal Engine 
  • At least 1 shipped AAA title in the Sr. VFX Artist Position
