The role:

The Account Manager is one of the main points of contact between the client and Upstream’s internal resources, playing a key role in the materialization of the Account Plan and achievement of the account targets (commercial, financial, product).

This role is ideal for a candidate with high potential who wishes to be rewarded for outstanding performance while having the opportunity to gain valuable international business experience on large mobile marketing projects.

The role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the client relationship: On the ground key point of contact between the client and the rest of Upstream; ownership of important operational and mid-level client contacts; managing client expectations; building and securing client satisfaction
  • Commercial ownership of the account: Significant contribution in implementing the account plan and achievement of the account targets; contract negotiations and closing; performance monitoring; maintaining the account P&L on a monthly basis; reconciliations, invoicing, and payments
  • Coordinating all local operational resources and being responsible for local operational delivery: prizes, logistics, regulatory, supplier contracts, and use of recruitment channels; accountable for client deliverables and all local market inputs
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure the project plan is delivered on time
  • Oversight of service performance: monitoring of traffic; tracking of service performance indicators; monitoring of message performance; monitoring of complaints and customer satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities and upselling (services, new products, marketing inventory)
  • Identifying local partners and product opportunities
  • Constantly monitoring the local competition landscape and detecting potential risks

Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-driven, hard-working, and flexible, and have the following qualifications:

  • Excellent client-facing and negotiation skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Very good educational background, preferably in a numerate discipline
  • Attention to detail
  • Results driven
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a field that combines elements of multiple disciplines (technology, marketing, digital services)
  • International perspective and cultural awareness
  • Experience in VAS
  • Experience with mobile operators will be considered as a plus

  • 2-5 years of work experience in the fields of consulting, marketing, telecoms or information technology

The Opportunity

What You Will Do

● Responsible for in-venue operations during UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) events including liaison with the tournament director, venue staff, referee, chair umpires, and players.

● Interact with organizers for PTT to ensure compliance with rules and regulations and automate processes.

● Coordinate between the UTR Sports team and tournament organizers to update daily tasks such as results, order of play, draws, scheduling, etc.

● Responsible for the creation of event registration monday.com boards for PTT

● Back-end management of UTR Pro Tennis Tour entries, withdrawals, fines, etc.

● Support players with correspondence to questions through email, in-app messaging, and other communications 

● Assist other departments in key strategies such as junior circuits and pathways to expand globally

● Travel involved up to 50% of the time

● Work experience in athletic events in an operational and organizational capacity, with a preference for collegiate tennis ops experience

● Experience interacting with other stakeholders in a tournament setting including referees, players, technology, and volunteers.

● History of draws, scheduling, court bookings, and other items needed for tournament

management

● Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders like Product Management, Marketing, and experience working with company executives.

Salary

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $40,000 to $60,000. The final base salary for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.

The Opportunity: 

The Client Solutions Specialist – Large Clients (Wholesale) will be a pivotal and important role and a primary interface between Selecta and its biggest Wholesale client partnerships. This role will play an integral part to the overall success of the Wholesale Solutions division, with Clients spanning multiple Industry sectors and Selecta supplying Coffee Equipment, Technical and Wholesale.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the ability to retain and grow revenue of existing large enterprise Wholesale Clients and strategically grow these Clients with the support of the Wholesale Telesales team.  

 

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with and spend time with the Wholesale Telesales team in Badminton, delivering analytical data-led insights to support revenue growth of your clients.
  • Have full accountability for £50k-£1.2m ARO account P&L’s, with all detail fully understood, so that solutions can be identified to make improvements where necessary.
  • To own the performance and relationships with every client, as if it were your own business.
  • Build solid account plans to ensure we are consistently delivering on service and revenue targets.
  • Be the direct contact for any challenges or escalations within your accounts. All clients need one point of contact to resolve any challenges.
  • Passionate about delivering service and solutions with a real eye for detail: understanding the importance of delivering a branded solution.
  • To be able to create and deliver management information that is accurate and beneficial to internal and external parties on a regular basis as agreed with the client.
  • Analyse account performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, whilst continually adapting the actions or direction required to ensure your accounts perform for Client and Selecta.
  • Develop strategies and tools to ensure each account is managed effectively and influencing internal departments that are impacted.
  • Develop contacts and build relationships with key decision makers and influencers within each account, to ensure each account can be managed effectively.
  • Ensure all activity is documented within CRM, to provide full visibility to the business.
  • Ensure all new machine placements or changes to contract are successfully mobilised in line with client requirements, by ensuring all internal processes are completed on time and the client is always kept in close communication.
  • To lead and facilitate client business reviews on a monthly or quarterly basis in a professional manner, whilst building a strong rapport with the client, to ensure we are their best business partner. Easy to work with, whilst delivering impressive results.
  • Ability to network across all industries to drive Wholesale growth.
  • Proven experience in National Account Management experience, managing a portfolio of clients ranging from £50,000 to £1.2m ARO.
  • Proven track record of surpassing targets
  • Experience of using a CRM system to give visibility of activity and opportunity (accurately)
  • Record of accomplishment of building large multi-million-pound accounts successfully, within a Business-to-Business environment
  • Ability to communicate concisely, logically, and effectively to internal and external parties
  • Experience working with large contracts.
  • Experience working with multiple industries.
  • You will also have strong systems skills, high numeric and analytical.

The Opportunity: 

The Client Solutions Specialist - Costa is a hugely important role and a primary interface between Selecta and the Costa Coffee Franchise partnership. Along with obtaining new business from the franchise owners and other clients within the industry, this role plays an integral part to the overall success of the National Costa Coffee partnership. The Clients are generally within the HORECA sector, supplying Coffee Equipment, Technical and Wholesale.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the ability to manage a vast range of large national and regional Costa Franchise Clients – all receive a premium level of service through Selecta, from their Costa branded solution(s).

 

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Retain and Develop the Costa Coffee Franchise business.
  • Build strong relationships with Franchise Partners, Costa Retail and the Service Management Company where required.
  • Build solid account plans to ensure we are consistently delivering in the following areas:

- Exceeding client’s expectations around overall technical service.

- A clear plan to ensure we meet the specific service KPI’s set by Costa.

- Primary contact for all client queries.

- Ensure we exceed our revenue and margin expectations year on year.

  • Identifying opportunities with Franchise Owners outside of Costa.
  • To further grow our presence within this sector
  • Explore sales opportunities within existing accounts and generate new business within other sectors.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate management information as required by the business and client.
  • Responsible for accurate equipment forecasts to meet the needs of the client.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the PPM Schedule and Boiler Inspections, ensuring the Client and Selecta are always legally compliant.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of any Client Portal and Internal Systems, to ensure accuracy of asset lists and allocation of all work orders. Strong influencing and connection with our Client Experience centre will ensure success in this area.
  • Accountable for Client P&L performance.
  • Adherence to the ONE Selecta way of working and contact strategy.
  • Proactively work with all Internal Departments and External Suppliers, to strive for continuous improvement in Service, Machine Uptime and Innovation.
  • Ensure all Costa contracts are successfully mobilised in line with client requirements, by ensuring all internal processes are completed on time, always keeping in close communication with the Client.
  • Ensure all activity is documented correctly within Selecta IT systems.
  • Keep abreast of the competition and competitive issues which will have an impact on your sector and work internally to ensure we lead this space. We are to be seen as the leaders within our field, so must be proactively advising clients on how they can improve their business.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties or projects within the Selecta Sales & Operations teams.

You will support the retention and growth of Costa accounts, through strategic sales planning.

You will support the Client Solutions Leader – Costa, and the newly appointed SCS, Wholesale and Telesales Leader to deliver such retention and growth, whilst achieving the expected revenue for each financial year.

We are hiring a Senior Technical Joy Ambassador to join Selecta UK&I, to support the Area Service Leader and Field based Technical Joy Ambassadors with technical and client support across our portfolio. As a Senior Technical Joy Ambassador you will proactively liaise with our Internal and external stakeholders along with Manufacturers to ensure we deliver exceptional client service, achieve budget, and develop our people.

Within the UK we deliver a national service, relied on and trusted by circa 3,500 businesses to serve tasty beverages and snacks at a variety of locations from workplaces to schools, universities and hospitals and everywhere in-between.


Responsibilities:

  • Passionately drive a continuous improvement culture to achieve breakthrough performance in quality, service delivery, cost, and growth
  • Support the Area Service Leaders by continuously assessing team members, to identify any skill, knowledge, or behaviour gaps.
  • Provide a high-quality service to our clients and actively contribute to the overall improvement of the Service Department and identify new opportunities.
  • To assist in fault diagnosis when required across our full machine portfolio and to aid the engineers in repairing/resolving faults and learning how to do so for future reference.
  • To ensure that whenever possible all work is completed at the first visit ensuring that every effort is made to prevent further breakdowns. If a return visit is necessary, this must be carried out at the soonest opportunity.
  • Continually review multiple fault equipment and ensure that any machine that displays persistent breakdowns is given the highest priority regarding repair.
  • Be aware of any potential cases of client dissatisfaction and take appropriate action to avoid the potential becoming actual dissatisfaction.
  • Deal with any complaints in an appropriate manner ensuring they are addressed as quickly as possible including reporting these to your line manager.
  • Provide technical support / service call absence cover to a team of engineers.
  • Undertake and deliver any project-based work as required.
  • Actively support all others in reaching their targets and KPI’s
  • Process Stocktakes and report valuation to the Area Service Leaders
  • Attend and positively contributed to structured and documented bi-weekly meetings with your team.
  • Strong communicator and the ability to present information clearly.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tight timescales effectively.
  • Impeccable attention to detail
