Your Impact

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers working with your Account Manager and the local partners within your territory
  • Educate customers about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of
  • Showcase security best practices and desired outcomes by building technical proof of concepts, and educating customers on the value proposition of Prisma Cloud
  • Be the technical voice of Sales for all things related to security and compliance in Public Cloud (Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform)
  • Develop relationships with technical teams in channel partners who will be integral in providing successful deployments and cloud security
  • Act as a conduit for customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features for our customers
  • Frequency of travel is about twice a month, on average - This includes occasional travel for internal events (sales kickoff, technical summit), as well as for cloud security and DevSecOps industry conferences

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Degree in CS or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
  • 3+ years technical sales or equivalent experience highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience using IaC software tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager etc) and CI/CD tools (IDEs, GitLab, GitHuB, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform configuration and administration of security features and services (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption)
  • Background in security domain, cloud security highly preferred
  • Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

  • Leverage the PANW cloud platform product platform, Prisma, to continue to enhance Unit 42’s cloud security consulting delivery capabilities

  • Engage in a pre-sales capacity with client prospects, discovering customer pain related to their cloud environment operations and threats.

  • Identify gaps and alignment of Unit 42 solutions to customer pains and craft and deliver communications that clearly position the solution value and impact to key target outcomes.

  • Support engagement teams in their abilities to address and overcome deep technical objections to recommendations that arise throughout the delivery process. 

  • Further the team’s ability to speak to the alignment of recommendations with a client’s unique business process, broader strategic landscape or specific initiatives or risk mitigation or resource allocation.

  • Lead the practice and invest in developing relationships with clients that further Unit 42’s goals to become a more strategic trusted advisor.

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of consulting enablement content for Unit 42 consultants.

  • Assist with Palo Alto Networks product development team’s contributing into feedback loops that work to ensure bi-directional communication about compelling features and capabilities that would benefit Unit 42 consultants (and the broader consulting industry and security practitioners) in assessing and facilitating risk reduction activity. 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience performing cloud security advisement and risk assessments based upon industry-accepted standards

  • 6+ years of  professional services and consulting experience and 3+ years of Director (or and equivalent Senior Manager) experience leading consulting delivery team’s is highly preferred

  • Experience managing a diverse team of business and technical consultants

  • Cloud Security-related certifications preferred

  • Hands-on experience with a cloud hosting provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc).

  • Deep experience within the cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP) technology or advisory/consulting space. 

  • Strong fluency in the application of Virtual Machines, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS and other public cloud technical infrastructure concepts.

  • Possess a deep technical knowledge in Cloud Platforms and the dependencies around such an environment (WAF, SSO, Cloud Threats, API Security, Cloud Security Posture Management)

  • Former experience with cloud migrations (cloud to cloud, or on-prem to cloud)

  • Knowledge of the technical nuances related to SD-WAN and SASE solutions and their application to Cloud Environment access solutions. 

  • 10+ years in developing, strengthening and expanding client relationships

  • Knowledge of how to integrate command-line interfaces or scripting tools as a part of a risk assessment or remediation in cloud environments is a plus. 

  • Rich understanding of how Enterprise’s use and struggle using infrastructure as code and continuous integration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Packer, Pulumi, Puppet, Saltstack and Terraform or CSP tools such as CloudFormation, Resource Manager or Deployment Manager. 

  • Ability to scope new opportunities with prospective clients, including drafting statements of work and proposals

  • Ability to perform travel requirements as needed to meet business demands (on average 25%)

Meet the Team:

This team is looking for someone with the combined technical and management experience to create the next generation of on-road autonomous driving technology, meeting customer needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. What you'll do:

  • Accountable for ensuring consistent delivery of critical projects that meet the company's objectives, coordinating efforts and resources, identifying, and removing organizational barriers to execution as the internal representative of the customer to the engineering organization.
  • Responsible for analyzing and communicating product initiatives to development teams, leadership, and other stakeholders. Break down the product initiatives into department-level quarterly plans.
  • Analyze top-level product requirements to develop associated department-level plans for components that advance the virtual driver product towards commercial launch.
  • Create strong working relationships and maintain effective communication across all product development teams, informing others of new features and release timelines, and soliciting frequent feedback from stakeholders for action.
  • Build trust and strong working relationships with the technical subject matter experts and principal engineers that steward the technical roadmap.
  • Consult with relevant technical experts and synthesize their input with your own technical and industry knowledge to create and define a balanced product development backlog which drives teams towards the most cost-effective path to commercial launch.
  • Cohesively and succinctly present quarterly departmental plans based on cross-functional dependencies for evaluation and approval by engineering leadership at the executive level.
  • Represent product development plans, showcase recent development efforts in regular reviews, and synthesize changes in urgency to resolve product issues within the applicable department.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define timelines/milestones, identify/mitigate risks, recommend resource allocation, track progress, resolve dependencies, and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Set clear, actionable development team workloads that deliver epic acceptance criteria that cleanly support initiative-level acceptance criteria, delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Monitor epic status and report metrics for management recognition. Clarify metrics and measurable goals to identify work, clarify urgency and importance, follow-up and verify solutions/results, measure success, review for continuous improvement and effective time management.
  • Provide candid and constructive feedback to development team members that maximizes team goals and individual employee potential. Report any issues of concern to managers.
  • Create a motivating and inspiring development team environment with an open communication culture. Act proactively to ensure smooth development team operations and effective collaboration.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement. Identify process gaps and/or new areas of focus for continuously improving engineering planning, communication, and execution.

What you’ll need to Succeed:

  • Demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through:
    • BS+ 4+ years of experience OR MS+ 3+ years of experience
  • Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline; conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. 
  • We are looking for a TPM with the experience in one of the following fields: 
    • Data Systems
      • Experience with different database architectures, including but not limited to relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing and clustered, distributed data stores.
      • Experience with Python libraries for applied data science (Pandas, Plotly, Matplotlib, Dask, TensorFlow).
      • Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, Batch, ECS Fargate, Glue, Athena).
      • Experience with workflow patterns using directed acyclic graphs (Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions).
      • Familiarity with machine learning operations and the data and artifacts that they produce.

ON DAY ONE, WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: 

  • 10+ years of full stack application architecture experience with a deep understanding of how to scale applications with large data sets
  • 3+ years of Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) customer facing application development experience
  • 1+ years of Snowflake experience
  • 2+ years of experience in building/utilizing various data connectivity tools like connectors & drivers which enable access to a library of data sources.

Reporting to the Vice President, Americas Client Contract Compliance and Risk Management, your role involves managing a global contracts library across multiple service lines. This includes ensuring compliance with client contracts, supporting global teams with strategic execution, and managing both contractual and business documentation. You will be working with VPC networking & Transit Gateways, Cloudfront CDN & Shield DDoS protection, EKS Kubernetes clusters & Ingress Controllers and be able to evolve our networking architecture and observability.

We will start with a small team of traffic engineers working within the Infrastructure team with the longer-term goal of owning the traffic and connectivity space end-to-end! In 2024 we will revisit our architectural choices in this domain and build for the future: scale, security, observability, automation and operability. There is a lot of ground to cover and work to be done!

Qualifications

  • You are no stranger to large scale, high performance environments with constant change. You are able to architect, select and implement solutions in your technical domain.

  • You have a strong background in networking and traffic engineering, you’re able to work up and down the stack from tcpdump to HTTP headers and gRPC. You’re comfortable with public cloud networking solutions at scale (AWS) and have exposure to network security tools, practices and solutions.

  • You feel right at home working with public clouds, infra-structure-as-code (Terraform), containers, Kubernetes etc and understand the importance of automation.
