ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. Graphic Designer role will initially be dedicated to one large integrated architecture, engineering, interiors, and consulting project for the next several months. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of client-facing presentations, document deliverables, concept diagrams, org charts, schedules, digital media, and other graphic materials as needed across the lifespan of the project. The role would work closely with key design leadership and project management daily and interface regularly with the larger graphic design marketing team. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Execute.  Take a project from strategy to storyboard to final design with knock-it-out-of-the-park confidence 
  • Collaborate.  Work with firm or project leadership, and teams to contribute to the content and design of strategic communication materials  
  • Think.  Use empathy and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions, and strategies 
  • Design.  Develop creative solutions for leave-behinds, presentations, brochures, event collateral, portfolios, project templates, and digital media that express a unique vision 
  • Explore.  Continually research compelling ways to spread our message and integrate best practices to the team and the firm 
  • Lead. Independently coordinate multiple project efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines, all with positivity and decisiveness 
  • Connect.  Coordinate with studios and other firm teams to gather and share best practices 
  • Teach. Instruct non-design professionals about fundamental design skills stakeholders and help grow design team members  
 
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years professional experience in a graphic design position. Experience in the Architecture/Engineering field is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field 
  • Stunning graphic design portfolio showing a balance of elevated brand collateral and high-concept materials, emphasizing print documents. Submitted copy of your portfolio is required
  • Compelling storytelling style, in both written and visual applications 
  • Strategic, creative thinking with the ability to brainstorm, collaborate, and build consensus among multiple stakeholders 
  • Well-developed communication and analytical skills 
  • Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both digital and print media 
  • Willing to travel in support of remote projects and teams 
  • Expert user of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and the Microsoft Office 360 Suite 
  • Familiarity with After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere is advantageous but not required
  • Professional business attire required when attending client meetings. Examples of professional business attire include suits, ties, collared dress shirts, dresses and skirts 
The salary range for this position is $69,200 to $86,500 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time summer hours, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs. Compensation and Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. Responsibilities

Day to Day

  • Use existing brand design system and style guidelines to create requested physical signage and collateral assets (such as in-room print pieces and on-site wayfinding) for Kasa properties.

You should feel comfortable partnering with our Art Directors to concept our content team and guide projects through production, fully owning how it comes to life in our digital ecosphere. 

You should feel comfortable designing storyboards, design direction briefs, as well as communicating design direction for digital content. You will collaborate with a talented group of copywriters, producers, 3D and 2D artists, and video editors to make breakthrough creative.

 

You Have:

  • Experience managing designers
  • Extensive knowledge Figma and the Adobe Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and current trends in design.
  • Experience in design direction for branded content.
  • Proven ability to create flexible design system components and take a systems first approach to design tasks. An ability to concept and strategize through the lens of a design system.
  • Exceptional design sensibility - design direction, typography, layout and strong understanding of creating beautiful visuals that meet business objectives.
  • 8+ years of agency/in-house graphic design experience

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with internal and external design talent on general creative requests such as: white papers, infographics, data sheets, website materials, social media assets, event collateral, presentation decks, and more
  • Staying up to date on the latest presentation design trends to offer fresh new ideas while working within the Shift brand guidelines
  • Building beautiful and user-friendly templates to support Shifters outside of the Design team
  • Working with partners to develop materials that respect both brands
  • Working with other designers to collaborate and share files throughout a project lifecycle
  • Working within the Creative Studio team and greater Marketing team across Asana, Slack, and other channels to facilitate collaboration and organized workflows
  • Length of project approximately 3 months

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating a command of typography, color and layout
  • Experience working in an agency setting or on a B2B marketing team, preferably in the technology space
  • Demonstrated ability to work within established brand guidelines while finding fresh and creative solutions to design problems
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create high-level work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Expert creating presentations (Google Slides and PPT), social graphics and layout documents using Styles
  • Experience using project management software (Asana, JIRA, etc.)
