We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and expertise to help build ad verification, analytics, and anti-ad fraud solutions that deliver on the team’s mission of helping advertisers understand the quality of the ad opportunities they’re acquiring. What you’ll do:

  • Architect, design, build and integrate our core CTV measurement solutions 
  • Lead the entire software lifecycle including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation, in addition to mentoring the team
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers to  design, code, and maintain components for aggregating tens of billions of daily transactions
  • Partner with the Product team and other stakeholders across the company to understand product requirements, gather business and technical requirements from broadcaster clients, and research and develop solutions, including API development
  • Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting, collaborative environment
  • Maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure responsiveness, efficiency, strong functionality, and optimization

Who you are and what you have:

  • A degree in Software Engineering, or related STEM degree
  • 7+ years of hands-on full-stack programming experience using Java, Javascript, Scala/Python
  • Experience working with big-data stack, including (but not limited to) spark /hadoop, kafka, Aerospike / Dynamodb
  • Experience with AWS tech stack, including but not limited to EMR, Athena, EKS,
  • Expert knowledge of multi-threading, memory model, etc. 
  • Understanding of database fundamentals and MySQL knowledge
  • Experience wit CICD tools such as Jenkins, Graphite, Grafana and Docker
  • Knowledge of HTTP live streaming, audio or video distribution platforms, HTTPS, HLS and/or DASH protocols
  • Experience building software used in the delivery and distribution of audio or video across multiple platforms
  • Ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
  • Experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • Great understanding of designing for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Experience in AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

1 INTRODUCTION

The NATO Information and Communication Agency (NCI Agency) located in Mons, Belgium, is currently involved in the development of new capabilities for NATO as well as in the support of existing capabilities. In the light of these activities, the C2 Centre is looking for an experienced software developer.

More specifically, the work shall support the full software development cycle of the Logistics Functional Area Services (LOGFAS) suite of applications.

2 SCOPE OF WORK

Under the direction of the NCI Agency team, the software developer shall develop and update LOGFAS software modules. This includes the following activities:

  • Participate in daily status update meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and other meetings, in person via electronic means.
  • Participate in requirements elicitation, analysis and design discussions.
  • Support bug fixing and stability improvements.
  • Implement and review software changes as required.
  • Create and implement (automated) test cases.
  • Create and update documentation.
  • Investigate the best ways to solve problems, including documenting and presenting pros and cons to the team.
  • As full stack software developer, work on: The application data model, application programming interface and web services; The authentication and authorization services; The web front-ends;  The desktop applications.

The development work shall be carried out by remotely accessing the NCI Agency engineering facilities.

The contractor shall be part of a team (project manager, technical lead, software developers, etc.) and shall work using an Agile and iterative approach using multiple sprints. Each sprint is planned for a duration of ten (10) working days. The scope of each sprint shall be agreed with the project manager and the technical lead during the sprint-planning meeting, in writing.

3 DELIVERABLES AND PAYMENT MILETONES

Each sprint is planned for a duration of ten (10) working days. At the end of each sprint, a detailed report of the activities conducted shall be submitted.

The payment will be dependent upon successful acceptance of Annex B – Certificate of Acceptance, including the EBA Receipt number.

The NCI Agency team reserves the possibility to exercise a number of options during base period and optional periods, based on the same deliverable timeframe and cost, at a later time, depending on the project priorities and requirements.

The following deliverables are expected in 2024 from the work on this statement of work:

4 COORDINATION AND REPORTING

The contractor shall provide services off-site.

The contractor shall participate remotely in daily status update meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and other meetings, physically in the office, or in person via electronic means using Conference Call capabilities, according to project manager’s instructions.

For each sprint to be considered as complete and payable, the contractor must report the outcome of his/her work during the sprint, first verbally during the retrospective meeting and then in written within three (3) days after the sprint’s end date. The format of this report shall be a short email to the project manager mentioning briefly the work held and the development achievements during the sprint.

5 SCHEDULE

This task order will be active immediately after signing of the contract by both parties.

It is expected the services start being provided as soon as possible but not later than 21 October 2024 and end not later than 31 December 2024.

If the 2025 option is exercised, the period of performance is from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.

If the 2026 option is exercised, the period of performance is from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2025.

6 SECURITY

A NATO security clearance is not required.

7 CONSTRAINTS

All the documentation provided under this statement of work will be based on NCI Agency templates or agreed with project point of contact.

All scripts, documentation and required code will be stored under configuration management and/or in the provided NCI Agency tools.

8 PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS

The contractor may be required to travel to other sites within NATO for completing these tasks. Travel costs are out of scope and will be borne by the NCI Agency separately in accordance to the provisions of the AAS+ Framework Contract.

The services provided under this SOW must be accomplished by ONE contractor.

The consultancy support for this work requires a software developer with the following qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of full stack development experience with the following technologies: .NET Framework and .NET, Entity Framework, and the C# programming language.
  • Experience with Service-oriented Architecture software design and with the development of web APIs.
  • Experience with software development for web application technologies, including ASP.NET, Ext JS and Angular.
  • Experience with software development using of OpenID Connect (OIDC), WSO2 and ADFS.
  • Experience with JSON Web Tokens (JWT) or similar token formats such as Security Assertion Mark-up Language (SAML).
  • Experience with Visual Studio and PostgreSQL or similar relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide proactive and strategic counsel on global employment law matters, including recruiting, restrictive covenants, interpretation of employment contracts, inclusion and diversity, employee relations, performance management, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour, commission plans, pay equity, internal investigations, sick leave, compensation and benefits, privacy, remote workers, mobile workers, contingent workers, immigration, and employment-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions,  and other corporate and strategic transactions

  • Counsel management on and implement practical solutions that enable business objectives while balancing legal risk 

  • Partner effectively across Procore’s LRC and GTO organizations to create and ensure clarity of vision and strategy and bring focus and direction to the most important priorities that will drive the biggest impact, mitigate the most significant risks, and deliver the greatest return on the investment of the employment law function’s resources

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • JD from an accredited law school and must be admitted, active, and in good standing with the state bar in which the position is located, or with another state bar and registered, or eligible to register, as in-house counsel with the state bar in which the position is located

  • 12+ years of extensive experience and expertise as a practicing attorney advising multinational business clients on global employment law matters, including 5+ years of experience as in-house employment law counsel (ideally at a SaaS or other high-growth technology company)

At Currencycloud, you can work from home, or visit our lush offices in London, Cardiff or Amsterdam. You'll need to be based in either the UK or Netherlands for this role, and have the necessary work permissions.

About the role

Currencycloud was acquired by Visa in December 2021. Our Java Engineers are responsible for implementing an industry-leading API that has already processed over USD50 billion of cross-border transactions for over 5 million end users, and is available to our clients 24x7. But we are not stopping there, and our engineers are at the forefront of taking us forward to meet the demands of even greater scale.

We have moved wholesale to AWS where our system runs as a set of distributed applications. We are currently in the process of migrating those applications over to Kubernetes and Jenkins-X. We are looking to embrace a microservice-led event based architecture using Kafka.

What you'll get to do:

  • As a Java Engineer you’ll play a key role within your cross functional team, taking responsibility for your services and the technology within them.

  • These roles fit in to squads who are building out brand new parts to our platform, focusing on high availability, cloud native, microservice concepts

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Strategy and Vision:

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Product Owner/Product Manager role in a software-first Fintech or tech start-up
  • Comfortable working with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban, and across 1-2 teams
  • Ability to define a product backlog using standard categories like epics & user stories and experience making tough trade-offs and prioritisation decisions
  • Experience crafting a vision for your product based on customer discovery, market research, data analysis, etc.
  • Domain knowledge in Fintech strong plus - e.g. payments, FX, transaction banking or trading

  • At least 2+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing immersive experiences for XR platforms is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Unity or other game engines, including C#, is highly desirable but not required.
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as ShapesXR, Bezi, or like rapidly visualize and iterate on spatial experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $95,000 to $110,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.

Job Description 

Acquia’s Customer Value Manager (CVM) is responsible for developing long-term relationships and driving customer-impacting value with a portfolio of Customer Data Platform customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and developing an understanding of their business requirements and goals. Leveraging this customer knowledge and knowledge of CDP best practices, the CVM will drive adoption, provide industry and implementation best practices and personalized recommendations and data-driven strategic insights to ensure customers maximize value from their investment and partnership with Acquia. 

You will be the go to person at Acquia, and your customers will rely on you as a CDP consultant providing a high value experience. You must have a strong understanding of your customer’s business, their marketing activities, and serve as an advocate for our customers' needs. The CVM will be accountable to customer retention and loyalty and will also serve as an escalation point when needed to facilitate the resolution of  issues, connecting customers with the right resources for assistance and working with our technical support and services teams to provide the appropriate business and technical context to ensure resolution.

You will be responsible for timely and effective communication to ensure customer expectations are met. You will demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Acquia’s Customer Data Platform solution and master of use case knowledge to help your customers realize the most value from their investment. You demonstrate a high level of professionalism in every interaction in a fast-paced environment while working closely across several key stakeholders in project management and product and ensuring best practices are adhered to throughout the organization. Candidates must be energetic, motivated and self-driven and have relevant marketing experience. Responsibilities

  • Own a client portfolio of Enterprise and/or Mid-market customers for which you are responsible for customer value, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and retention
  • Build and manage customer relationships at all levels
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors such that all activities are closely aligned with the customer's business case and business strategies, allowing the full potential of our solution to be realized
  • Maintain an accurate set of reports and value delivered metrics to ensure there is a clear understanding of where each customer is on their path to value realization

  • Onboard your customers by understanding their processes, goals, success metrics and defining and executing their enablement plan
  • Monitor and identify trends in adoption and feature utilization to provide guidance to customers as part of ongoing account reviews
  • Learn latest trends and best practices of the CDP market
  • Conduct onsite customer meetings; prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews in collaboration with account managers and delivery teams with focus on product roadmap discussions and recommendations to align our platform to the customer’s business case and marketing strategies
  • Partner with Acquia Account Manager (AM) to secure and execute customer renewals, upgrades and upsells; drive retention and revenue growth
  • Support AM and Account Executive in identifying growth opportunities that align to customers' digital priorities through their day to day knowledge of goals and business outcomes. 
  • Monitor customer health, identify risk, develop success plans, and deliver recommendations
  • Work with Acquia Marketing team to identify customer case studies and PR opportunities
  • Collaborate across Sales, Professional Services, Product, Support and Marketing to maximize overall customer experience
  • Represent a knowledgeable and professional image of Acquia with all customers
  • The CVM role is structured as a sales position with Commission eligibility based on quarterly account retention targets and OKR attainment

  • Experience with various types of related marketing technology such as SEO, CRM, Marketing Automation, Google Analytics, social media platforms, ESP
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other cloud-based applications
  • Ability to travel 10% of time

  • Marketing background with experience in strategy and execution of marketing campaigns
