operational metrics, and fostering collaboration across product teams to enable seamless

An overview of this role

As a backend engineer on the Organizations team, you will play a critical role in building out our Organizations feature. What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you’ll bring at least 3-5 years' experience as a System Administrator with Windows Server, infrastructure applications, and cloud technologies.

Your technical experience should include:

    • Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops Administration and configuration
    • Citrix Netscaler Administration and configuration
    • User profile management via UPM, FSLogix, and Ivanti DesktopNow
    • Windows Server Systems Administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Patch Management
    • Knowledge with Microsoft Server technology products
    • Managing virtual environments utilising infrastructure such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
    • Management of physical server environments such as Cisco Unified Computing (UCS)
    • Sound knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies using tools such as Veeam, NetBackup and CommVault.

Your customer focus and communication skills will be a strength, along with an ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks. We are keen to hear of your troubleshooting, problem-solving experience, your understanding of public cloud platforms and agile operations.

About the Proactive and Policy Team

Trust and Safety’s Proactive and Policy department partners with all areas of Thumbtack to drive Trust and Safety improvements in our platform and programs. The department splits into two groups: program managers and risk analysts. Our Program Managers create and update global policies, processes, and procedures - it’s our mission to improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of Trust and Safety operations, while working in line with Thumbtack’s goals and values.

About the Role

As a Sr. Program Manager for Trust and Safety, you’ll be responsible for evaluating global policies and operational processes, identifying experience obstacles and process inefficiencies, building outlines and workflow maps, and project managing initiatives to completion. You’ll collaborate with internal leadership and cross-functional teams (Legal, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Support Operations, Enablement, etc.) on updates and solutions to improve the Thumbtack user experience and the Trust and Safety organization's global policies, operational processes, and documentation. 

This new hire will be prioritized for leading planning, collaboration, and execution with our Critical Escalations and Data Privacy team, as well as our Incident Operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Promote safety for users on Thumbtack by completing quarterly projects to improve the quality and efficiency of Trust and Safety programs and operations:
    • Plan and prioritize, factoring in all dependencies and deliverables.
    • Use data to inform your decisions, devise a strategy, and mitigate risks.
    • Optimize processes, create new policies, and cascade changes.
    • Build expertise quickly in any specialization related to your assignments.
    • Look out for gaps, redundancies, pain points, etc. and take responsibility.
    • Uncover root causes and implement solutions with minimal guidance.
    • Follow-through on plans while communicating with stakeholders from all different levels and departments and holding contributors accountable.
    • Adapt to unforeseen circumstances and drive results despite obstacles.
  • Maintain and update significant Trust and Safety programs like the Thumbtack Guarantee, the Thumbtack Solution Center, the Non-Discrimination Policy, Data Privacy compliance, Dispute Mediation, Anomaly Detection, etc.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Enablement, Sales, Marketing, and Operations (Trust and Safety, Customer Service, Refunds), etc. as needed to align on the Trust and Safety vision, requirements, and enforcement strategies.
    • Become a subject matter expert on our global Trust and Safety policies, processes, and procedures and take ownership for seeking solutions with appropriate parties whenever you identify issues.
    • Draft standard operating procedures (between 10 to 50 pages), regularly write project charters, utilize various project management frameworks and roadmaps, present findings/recommendations, etc. 
    • Manage stakeholders with clear, direct, detailed, organized, adaptable, and persuasive communication (verbal and written).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the sales team in qualifying opportunities, engaging with clients to understand their business and technical requirements.

  • Overseeing the kickoff of projects you've helped sell to ensure proper handoff and successful execution.
  • Building strong, ongoing client relationships through effective communication and technical insight.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales or solution architecture roles, preferably in service-oriented companies.
  • Advanced technical expertise in AI, with a deep understanding of AI model use cases and when to apply them.
  • Familiarity with MLOps, DevOps, and best practices for automated infrastructure deployment and monitoring.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with in-depth knowledge of at least one and working familiarity with others.
  • Versatility in related technical domains like Data Engineering (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric) and Software Development to support pre-sales efforts.
  • Fluent English, with no doubts about communication skills in both technical and business contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Podium is seeking a motivated and organized Chief of Staff to support our both our Chief Technology Office and Chief Product & Marketing Officer. In this role, you’ll lead strategic projects, manage planning cycles, and streamline operations to ensure departmental and company success. You’ll influence strategy, improve processes, and foster cross-functional collaboration.

What you will be doing:

Planning and Operational Design

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance to build and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Implement and improve product operations (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by independently identifying inefficiencies and driving process enhancements.

Strategic Program Management

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CTO and CPMO by driving high-priority cross-company initiatives and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Align technical initiatives with business priorities and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving roadblocks to keep projects on track.

Communication Strategy

  • Develop communication plans to ensure transparency and alignment across teams.
  • Act as a bridge between executives and the broader organization.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Track and report key metrics to measure progress and drive decisions.
  • Provide actionable insights to address gaps and inform strategy.

 

What you should have:

  • Alignment with our operating principles
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or a related field, ideally in tech.
  • Proven success in managing planning cycles and optimizing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of business metrics and financial planning.
