Job Description

Job Description

Our new QA Automation Developer will join one of three teams at TripArc, each focused on one of the key elements of our distribution network (operators, agencies, suppliers). All three teams are in growth mode as we expand development of new features and continue the process of migrating legacy code to new front-end frameworks and a microservices architecture, helping us to rapidly scale as the rush of new clients builds. Depending on the team you join, you may work on projects which enable our luxury travel advisors to create compelling travel experiences for their clients, optimize the products presented to our luxury travel advisors based on various factors, or work "behind the scenes" on the back-end of our software where the magic of mixing, matching and pricing happens.

We converted to an Agile methodology a couple of years ago and are now a fully enabled Agile department that prioritizes work based on the value it brings to our clients. During each two-week sprint, our developers plan, write, test, integrate and bug fix while collaborating on teams with skilled Business Analyst, UX and product resources, which are dedicated to the team. We hire problem solvers, not technicians and look for self-motivated individuals with diverse backgrounds able to use the best tool for the job, contribute new ideas, and help bring them to life.

As the Testing Automation Developer, you plan, develop, test, integrate and bug fix while collaborating with a team of skilled and passionate developers. You have full knowledge and experience with agile development and don’t shy away from a challenge. You are a self-motivated individual who has a diverse background and brings hands-on experience to development who wants to design and code exciting platforms, contribute ideas, and see them come to life.

The value that the software you create for our lines of business will be a core metric for prioritization in an environment with entrepreneurial leaders and highly customized in-house software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business owners and architects to estimate, plan, test, integrate and deliver complete software.
  • Assist in evaluating new functionality requests on a value scale for the business.
  • Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration.
  • Ensure work progress to schedule and keep (internal) customers informed of the project’s progress.
  • Stay current with trends, techniques, technology and other factors impacting the job.

  • You attend design meetings with product analysts, UX designers, and developers, and provide input from a testing perspective on how to make an application testable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.

Job Description

  • Role: Web UI Developer 
  • Location: Chicago, IL (Remote Work, need occasional travel to Chicago)
  • Duration: 6 Months to Hire

This is a 100% Remote and C2H role, candidates must be ready to get converted to FTE after 6 months on to client payroll.

Note: Need Web UI Developer consultants with strong Angular 2+, React, Microservices. Good to have .Net/Azure background.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Programming/Design, SOLID Principles, CI, CD, Trunk based development.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development, automated testing and A/B testing.
  • Web application development skills: Javascript, Typescript, Node Js, Jest, Npm, WebPack, SignalR, React/Angular 2+/Blazor, Boostrap, JQuery HTML5, CSS 3
  • Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets like: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Splunk, Git, Postman.
  • Understanding of database modeling principles.
  • Ability to work with complex data models.

Job Description

Our Front-end Engineer will be getting involved with our Product and Tech departments to provide dedicated UI development and support on key tech projects. 

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or similar field; or equivalent working or open-source experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing web-based user interfaces
  • Experience in JavaScript development (ES5 & ES6) & Vue.js
  • Experience in Frontend frameworks are welcomed benefit e.g. Vue, React, Angular, Knockout
  • Experience in Vuetify or Semantic UI
  • Good knowledge of CSS/SCSS
  • Build pipeline experience
  • Ability to craft SQL queries and an understanding of databases

Responsibilities:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in developing Automated Test cases using; Rational Quality Manager, Rational Performance Tester, Selenium, JAWS, NVDA, ANDI, Google Analytics, Cygwin Suite
  • Strong experience in object-oriented design development
  • Experience with DevSecOps.
  • Hands on experience on Testing frameworks like Junit, Nunit, Cucumber, JMeter
  • Experienced in testing SOAP & REST web services using Swagger, SOAPUI, ReadyAPI
  • Prior experience with 508 Testing for Federal Agencies is a big plus
