The Role

The Dyrt is seeking a talented Quality Assurance professional with both mobile app and website testing experience to join our team as we solve exciting new problems in the outdoor space. In this role, you’ll be working to validate that our software meets the given requirements and quality standards, and report on the overall state of software quality for our entire solution.

This position will support multiple development teams and projects and report to the Head of Engineering. You will directly interact with 6 other engineers, the product manager, the design team, and the support team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product, design, and development teams to plan, implement, test, and release new product features.
  • Report on the health and quality of our products to company leadership

  • Write test automation for new and existing features

Experience and Requirements

  • Documentation and Planning experience (Writing test documentation, creating test plans/cases/scenarios)

  • Experience with Release Management (publication, communication, verification).

The Role

As a senior engineer at The Dyrt, you will be tasked with building a robust, maintainable app experience for millions of campers who use The Dyrt every year.

Our current mobile frontend is built mostly with React Native. Work varies from building highly interactive tools, like our search page and Route Planner, to focusing on dynamically generated pages based on backend data and page performance on our campground listings. In this position we will be looking to you for experience, knowledge, and the confidence to make the case for what each situation merits in order to provide an ideal experience for our users.

Our solution also includes a next.js web front end, and a ruby/rails back-end. Experience in these areas would be a major advantage.

You’ll be working on a team with 2-3 other frontend developers and collaborating closely with our Backend, Product, CTO, and Design teams.

This position will report to the Head of Engineering.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have at least 4 years professional experience developing web or mobile apps with React Native
  • Having 4+ years professional experience with modern component-based frameworks like Next.js, React, or Vue are a bonus

  • Own requirement analysis completely along with the team
  • Define the longer-term technical vision for scaling and maintaining our mobile frontend codebase

    • Android app development: Some proficiency with Android App development and tools. Experience with the Google release process and setup of the Android Development Environment
    • iOS app development: Some proficiency with iOS App development and tools. Experience with the Apple release process and setting up the iOS Development Environment which is a lot more involved than Android. Proficiency in Certificate management and renewals
    • Git: Some mid-level skills such as rebasing, resolving merge conflicts, and reverting merges. A firm understanding of Github including gitflow and trunk-based development practices
    • Bitrise: Familiarity with automated build systems such as Bitrise (or Jenkins)
    • CSS: Experience doing UI work with CSS
  • Take pride in writing easy to understand, maintainable code
  • Maintain and enhance existing code quality, organization, and automation

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager in the WARP team you will join a team that works on the backend system that allows our customers to manage their devices via our Zero Trust Network solution.

We are looking for an Engineer Manager to lead the Zero Trust team working on WARP API services, which uses Cloudflare’s global network to securely route tunnelled traffic from millions of devices running WARP to the Internet.

Job Description

As a team, we are the direct link to the voice of our customers.  When our customers need help they are usually in the midst of managing a small business and they don't want to wait for answers. Simply put, they want to speak to a human. In an ideal world, we know exactly who our customers are and what they need the moment they contact us.  Using information from previous interactions and current product usage, we're able to quickly direct them to the information they need to rapidly resolve issues or realize opportunities.

Our voice capabilities take advantage of a global presence, ensuring local 24x7 voice support across time zones. The reliability and quality of services are driven by the scalability and efficiency of our platforms and partners.  This relies on the interaction of multiple Square systems in a constant feedback loop where the voice platform provides real-time data to the business that can be consumed in future interactions.  On this team, you will work on state-of-the-art technologies to ensure both internal and external customers have the best possible experience with Square. 

You Will:

  • Build and maintain a voice focused contact center omni channel platform for Square to have productive and personalized interactions with our customers.

  • Lead medium sized solutions architecture and development of phone and voice solutions for platforms and teams across the enterprise.

  • Provide technical leadership on different CCaaS voice platforms

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for any issues related to production support.

  • Help build state of the art omni channel contact center solutions that provide best in class customer and advocate experience.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience  in Contact Center Technologies implementations and solutions.

  • Experience in developing Amazon Connect contact flows, AWS Lambda , DynamoDB, Lex Bots, API Gateway, AWS Pinpoint and Amazon Connect Streams for CCP Customizations.

  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills required.

  • Must have experience in designing and implementing call routing using routing profiles, queues, call backs, emergency messages, hours of operations, holiday routing with dynamic messaging

  • Must have strong programming skills in node.js, python, or ruby. Experience in AWS Lambda is highly preferred. 

  • Experience with AWS serverless architecture and services such as Contact Lens, AWS Pinpoint, S3, IAM, Lambda, Kinesis Data and Video Streams, KMS, Secret Manager preferred.

  • Experience with Github / bitbucket for source / version control. Experience with CI / CD pipelines using Terraform and Cloud Formation.

  • Deep understanding of Contact Center Architecture / Reporting / WFM Integration / IVR / Speech Recognition / Agent Phone Panel (amazon connect streams)

  • Working knowledge of popular communications protocols and APIs such as WebRTC and SIP

  • SQL query writing and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in  Salesforce amazon connect CTI Adapter integration.

Even Better:

  • An advanced degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics.

  • Experience designing applications with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, communications, and storage.

  • Knowledge in application, server, or network security

  • AWS Solution Architecture certifications

  • Knowledge of Information and Data security (PCI / PII / GDPR / DNCL / e911 / e164)
