What You’ll Do: 

  • Integrate existing products with LLM technologies to enhance user experience
  • Utilize vector embeddings to build intuitive data navigation

We’re Looking for Someone With:  

Education

  • 5+ years industry experience, 7+ preferred
  • Software development experience in Go (preferred), Node.js, Rust or Java

What you’ll get 

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $260,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will

About the Role - 

The Instacart Platform is a retail enablement platform with solutions for online and in-store commerce. We are looking for a senior technical writer to work with our enterprise teams to document our white-label e-commerce capabilities, such as online shopping, checkout, fulfillment, and order status management. Our external partners include retailers, advertisers, and developers. 

 

 

About the Team - 

You’ll work directly with our Product Engineering, Product Management, and retailer-facing teams to understand our products, market, and audience, and then create a positive, engaging learning experience for partners that will ultimately drive adoption and ubiquity of our products. You will be responsible for creating external product documentation. Deliverables will include concepts, release notes, FAQs, product tutorials, API documentation, and more.

 

 

About the Job 

Work with internal teams (primarily Product and Engineering) to understand Instacart solutions, use cases, and documentation requirements for partners 

  • Produce high-quality external product documentation that is tailored to our target audience
  • Develop documentation/content plans and socialize with key stakeholders
  • Create diagrams and other visual aids    
  • Edit content created by teammates
  • Work with partner-facing teams (e.g., Technical Support, Customer Success Managers) to collect partner feedback and incorporate it into documentation
  • Work with the Product Marketing team to understand and collaborate on positioning, tone and messaging
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
  • Encourage awareness and usage of documentation

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a technical writer in a software development environment delivering documentation to an external audience
  • Skilled at making complex concepts and/or technical products easy to understand for a business / non-technical audience
  • Ability to deliver high-quality external documentation with high attention to detail  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Experience successfully navigating a complex organization and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to provide and maintain the external voice of a company
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities in a high-pressure, results-driven environment 
  • Strong project planning and project management

What you’ll do:

  • Design scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Cloud Technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Azure to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with and lead a team of engineers and non-engineers in the design, development, and deployment of solutions, ensuring the team delivers high-quality work that aligns with customer requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • This is a Hybrid and requires onsite office work two days a week (generally Tuesday & Thursday) at Ft Belvoir, VA.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud technologies, and software engineering, with a focus on Microsoft and Microsoft Azure.
  • Expertise in leveraging Microsoft and Azure services for cloud-based architecture and integration.
  • Ability to design and deploy low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, Virtual Agents)
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Efficiently search and maintain the QAD Knowledgebase. Update it with solutions to customer issues, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for problem resolution.
  • Provide mentorship to Functional Analysts, fostering professional development and skill enhancement. Lead in sharing best practices and developing innovative solutions, enhancing the team’s problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborating with other members of IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Documenting issues and solutions for future reference and analysis. 

Qualifications

  • Education in the field of Computer Science, IT-related studies or comparable qualifications.
  • + 2 years of professional experience in the Customer Service/Support department as a Technical Analyst within the B2B area.
  • Previous experience with server containers such as Tomcat is essential to the role.
  • Previous experience with database structure and queries, especially PostgreSQL and basic Oracle SQL, is essential to the role.
  • The ability to read code (Java) is beneficial for the job, or if you read another programming language. 
  • Practical knowledge and familiarity with MS Excel, HTML, CSS, XML, REST API, and JSON are desirable.
