Description

Join our innovative team as a Software Engineer and be a pivotal part of Cobalt's journey in redefining cybersecurity. In this role, you will apply your expertise in full stackdevelopment to drive significant advancements in our Pentest as a Service (PtaaS) and Offensive Cybersecurity platform. Your contributions will directly impact the way businesses globally detect and manage cybersecurity risks. What You'll Do

Engineering Excellence: Contribute to the development of our SaaS platform, focusing on high-quality, scalable solutions using Ruby/Rails, Javascript/React. Apply architecture decisions under the guidance of Senior and Staff level engineers, and craft reusable UI components for our shared design system.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and a team of Engineers to translate business needs into innovative features, enhancing user experience and platform capabilities.

Build Robust Solutions: Balance tech debt removal with forward-looking feature development. Actively participate in code reviews and technical planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Continuous Integration, Continuous Learning: Apply best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, automated testing, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).  Regularly identify areas for personal growth and stretch goals, such as working with AI based projects or Front-end Engineering, to broaden your skill set.

Grow Your Career: Work with Senior and Staff level Engineers on a variety of cross-team technical initiatives, and participate in our Growth & Mentorship Program

You Have

Proven Experience: At least 3 years of experience in full-stack development, with a track record of delivering successful, user-centered solutions.

Tech Proficiency: Strong skills in our architecture: Ruby on Rails + JavaScript (React).  Additional familiarity with other aspects of our tech stack is a plus: Node.js, cloud environments (GCP, Kubernetes).

API Mastery: Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, understanding their role in scalable, efficient applications.

Code Quality Focus: Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and a thorough understanding of application architecture principles.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration in a remote setting.

Learning Agility: Eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches, with a proactive mindset and willingness to contribute ideas.

Bonus If You Have

Advanced Skills: Experience with advanced cloud-native technologies, microservices architectures, or security best practices is highly advantageous.

Open Source Contributions: Active participation in open source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio demonstrating your passion for software development.

Pay Range Disclosure(For US openings only)

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($ 100, 000 - $ 150, 000 per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.

Grammarly offers a dynamic hybrid model, and candidates in this role can be based remotely. You may be expected to travel to meet in person during your team’s scheduled collaboration weeks. Managers will determine in-person time according to business needs. The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Onboarding & Implementation team. This role will build Grammarly for Business into a thriving global B2B offering, including setting high expectations for impact in key deals and taking responsibility for accelerating growth.

As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with the Customer Onboarding team to complete the technical portion of the onboarding process.  These teams are responsible for deploying Grammarly for enterprise businesses and educational institutions, ensuring smooth, efficient, and successful implementations. You help identify expansion opportunities and bring feedback to our Product team. Finally, you will help build the necessary tools and processes to help Solutions Architecture and Customer Success teams keep customers happy and engaged. 

You will collaborate with your peers to build this new function. You will define new processes and standards for how future Solutions Architects will work and then seek feedback to improve and evolve what you put in place. Additionally, you will help test your colleagues’ processes and standards and provide feedback as needed to help uplevel the team. 

• Work with the largest Grammarly for Business customers by demonstrating the value of Grammarly.
• Implement SSO via SAML to ensure smooth customer onboarding, focusing on automated application deployment, SCIM, and maintenance.
• Guide IT admins on deploying Grammarly applications using SCCM, Intune, JAMF, and other MDM tools.
• Serve as a technical expert in providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions: software deployment, VDI, and API integration
• Become subject matter experts on all Grammarly features
• Discover product gaps by collaborating with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Grammarly apps in Mac and Windows environments.
• Create customer presentations and make discoveries to understand their application environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, IT project management, or software implementation
• 2+ years of experience working with SSO’s such as Okta, OneLogin, or Entra.
• Is passionate about working with customers to deepen relationships, find solutions, and grow their accounts.
• Works effectively with InfoSec IT, and related teams to ensure client confidence and solve specific client needs.
• Applies an understanding of SaaS business models to identify and shape solutions.
• Communicates effectively.
• Bonus points if you have IT background

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations. In Canada, all locations where we support employment are considered “Zone 1”. 

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. The expected “On Target Earnings” (OTE) for this role are outlined below and may be modified in the future.

The commission portion for this role will be 30% of the On-Target Earnings (OTE).

What you’ll do:

• Design scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Cloud Technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Azure to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with and lead a team of engineers and non-engineers in the design, development, and deployment of solutions, ensuring the team delivers high-quality work that aligns with customer requirements.
• Work closely with customers to gather business requirements, outline roadmaps, and recommend improvements to existing solutions. Design and implement new systems that leverage API integrations and Microsoft Cloud Technologies.
• Write C# code to support the implementation of pro-code solutions as needed, ensuring that code is maintainable, scalable, and efficient.
• Architect and implement data lakes to support solutions, ensuring the proper storage, integration, and management of large datasets.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to gather business needs and translate them into technical requirements and actionable roadmaps.
• Guide customers on their journey to making data-driven decisions by providing innovative technical solutions that leverage Microsoft Cloud and AI technologies.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• This is a Hybrid and requires onsite office work two days a week (generally Tuesday & Thursday) at Ft Belvoir, VA.
• 5-7+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud technologies, and software engineering, with a focus on Microsoft and Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in leveraging Microsoft and Azure services for cloud-based architecture and integration.
• Ability to design and deploy low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, Virtual Agents)
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
