Principal Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a Die Setup Technician to focus on Die Shop activities for the purposes of pipe production. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals. This position reports to the Production Shift Supervisor and will work a rotating 12-hour rotating shift schedule (4 Nights on, 4 Night off: 7pm - 7am).

Principle Accountabilities

  • Required to disassemble, clean, inspect, and accurately reassemble all types of pipe dies and install dies on machine with limited supervision and limited instructions.
  • Assist pipe department in start-up of pipe dies when necessary.
  • Use acetylene torch with supervision.
  • Fill out and use necessary reports and forms.
  • Keep individual work area neat and clean, tooling in order, and assist in general departmental housekeeping when necessary.
  • Ability to start extrusion lines from ¼” pipe to 16” PVC and CPVC lines and put into production to meet all required specification and quality standards.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes when needed.
  • Comply and support the hazardous condition program by reading labels and MSDS’s, following warnings, precautions and work instructions, using the compliant personal protective equipment, learning emergency procedures, and practicing safe work habits in compliance with EH&S/ISMS.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and work practices as outlined by the HR Best Practices – USA, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and EH&S programs at all times.
  • Other duties as related and/or assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Completion of high school diploma or practical equivalent desired.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in a Die Shop, with Chemicals, or blending is an asset.
  • Must have moderate trouble shooting ability.
  • Ability to accurately use tapes, rules, and other measuring instruments.
  • A basic understanding of electricity.
  • Acceptable level of literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Functional knowledge of health and safety practices.


Working Conditions

Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labor, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects (50-75 lbs.), standing and walking covers majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow brings considerable stresses to this position. The incumbent understands, respects, and adheres to the workplace Health and Safety rules and Safe Work Practices.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Material Handler to focus on measuring, inspecting and packaging finished product for distribution. Principle Accountabilities:

  • Operate mobile material handling equipment used for the packaging of finished product into crates or bundles

  • Ensure all material storage areas, scrap storage areas and pipe storage areas are maintained in an orderly and clean manner.
  • Assist in the movement and setting up of equipment into or out of the production areas.
  • Assist in the Startup of a production line and manufacture product to the required external and internal specifications.
  • Building and packing pipe crates.
  • Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned

Description du poste

Le planificateur de maintenance est responsable de la préparer et de mettre à jour le plan de maintenance détaillé de l’usine sur une base annuelle. Il identifie les priorités de maintenance, le plan de contingence, gère l’inventaire des pièces de rechange et les ressources disponibles afin de maintenir un excellent niveau de service et de répondre aux exigences de production. Il est également responsable d’identifier et de mettre en place des initiatives d’amélioration continue afin de maintenir et d’améliorer la fiabilité des équipements afin d’assurer la pérennité de nos opérations.

Activités principales

·       Planifier et mobiliser les ressources humaines et matérielles afin de rencontrer les objectifs du département (disponibilité des équipements, la durabilité des opérations au meilleur coût) :

·       Collaborer et assister les sous-contractants dans la préparation et l’exécution de leur travail;

·       Effectuer des recherches pour les pièces électriques et mécaniques;

·       Effectuer la commande des pièces et améliorer l’espace de rangement pour les pièces et développer un système de suivi;

·       Effectuer la gestion des bons de travail dans le système de maintenance;

·       Effectuer la gestion des réparations en tenant compte des besoins, priorités et contraintes de production;

·       Participer aux projets en ce qui a trait à l’acquisition de nouvel équipement de l’étude préliminaire jusqu’à l’installation / démarrage :

·       S’impliquer, suivre, évaluer et justifier les projets de l’usine;

·       Effectuer divers dessins (Autocad, Solidworks);

·       Implanter, diffuser et maintenir des indicateurs de performance : mettre en place un plan de gestion de performance et prendre les mesures correctives nécessaires pour optimiser la performance de l’équipe.

·       En collaboration avec le spécialiste du procédé et le directeur de production, identifier et saisir les opportunités provenant des opérations dans le but d’initier les activités d’amélioration continue (disponibilité, fiabilité, efficience des équipement, qualité des produits, sécurité, etc.).

·       En collaboration avec le directeur de la maintenance, planifier et coordonner les formations nécessaires afin d’assurer la conformité de l’équipe aux exigences de l’entreprise.

·       Assister le directeur de la maintenance dans ses tâches quotidiennes;

·       Compléter, analyser et classer tous les documents requis par les procédures;

·       Agir à titre de support technique, au besoin, auprès du département des ventes;

·       Toute autre tâches connexes convenues avec le supérieur immédiat.

Connaissances et compétences nécessaires

·       Formation en génie du plastique ou 3 à 5 ans d’expérience équivalente;

·       Connaissance du moulage par injection et des processus y étant lié;

·       Connaissance des presses Toshiba (Shibaura) et Engel, un atout;

·       Être un bon communicateur;

·       Bonne maîtrise de l’informatique (suite office, MS project, etc.).

  • Advanced mechanical proficiency.
  • Intermediate CNC machining knowledge.
  • Strong time management and organization skills and able to deal with varying levels of complexity.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • State/Federal approved Mold Maker or Tool & Die Journeyman’s Card is an asset.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and do advanced mathematics.
  • Must be licensed to operate forklift truck, pallet truck and other material handling equipment and able to use basic hand tools.
  • Have an understanding of all procedures and instructions as required by ANSI/ASQC A9002.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $248,000 - $310,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
