As a Lead Product Manager in the finance domain, you will partner with our finance, operations, and accounting teams to build an efficient and stable financial infrastructure. 

What you can expect

  • Lead projects related to our finance ecosystem, working with cross-functional teams of product managers, financing experts and engineers to launch impactful improvements and new solutions
  • You will lead the full product development lifecycle from ideation, requirement gathering, design, feature prioritization, sprint management to adoption with internal software engineering resources
  • You will own several pipelines, measure performance, keep your eyes on the customer/users, anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs and take acceptable risks to maximize the benefit for our customer and business
  • You will author all important product documents including the definition of business requirements, as well as functional specifications.
  • Stay current on trends, innovation and competition in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent product development skills and an ability to lead an iterative software development team - evidence of creative thinking, independent problem-solving, effective troubleshooting, team motivation, and conflict resolution
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial culture

  • You have the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop hypotheses, design experiments, and interpret results

Impact you'll have:
• Serve as editorial lead, managing a team of direct reports, developing components for our mathematics programs

• Actively participate in product definition, lead portions of project planning, and actively participate in working groups.

• Train and support writers and editors throughout all phases of assigned projects
• Effectively manage vendor and freelancer relationships
• Participate in focus groups with teachers and administrators

Required job skills:
• Experience leading teams of vendors, freelancers, and internal staff to deliver quality products
• Deep familiarity with K-8 Mathematics Standards
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining the quality of the product
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe and other general editing software
• Ability to move easily between big picture thinking and digging into details
• Proven writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Minimum qualifications:
• 5–10 years of experience in K-5 and/or 6-8 Mathematics educational publishing with experience editing print materials

Purpose of the role

We operate our own private cloud infrastructure, which is distributed across multiple data centers. This infrastructure, built primarily on open source technology, is doubling every year and requires 24/7 operation.

You will operate our infrastructure and contribute to its development, security, and reliability.

    About this role:


    As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will work together with the Web Team to build and scale modern web applications in their full stack, including front-end, back-end, data storage and cloud architecture. You will contribute to bring value to the Command Center, our cloud platform where our users can manage robots remotely and visualize reports. You are eager to deliver high quality solutions by understanding agile development, collaborating with the team, and writing high-class and testable code.

    How you will make a difference:


    • Develop Full stack applications the front-end, the back-end, databases and RESTful APIs 
    • Collaborate with other developers to build and release applications
    • Design the technical specification to match product requirements and technical needs
    • Design and implement the processes, tools and automation for automated tests, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and monitoring for our web applications
    • Participate in Dev-Ops activities
    • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues 


    Requirements


    • BASc. or Graduate degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or significant relevant work experience
    • 3-5 years of experience with Full stack software development
    • Solid experience with programming languages (Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, PHP, Bash)
    • Familiarity with Web frontend frameworks (Angular)
    • Experienced with databases (MariaDB, MySQL, Redis)
    • Experienced with web servers (Nginx, Apache)
    • Solid experience with Linux-based operating systems
    • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Kubernetes and Microservices
    • Knowledge of dependency management, tool-kits and system buildings for web applications (npm, apt, etc.)  
    • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration
    • Self-driven and self-motivated, get things done

    What you’ll be doing:


    • Act as the trusted advisor and partner to the Sales organization and its stakeholders with credibility and influence, from strategy to execution.
    • Develop, implement and upkeep all Sales tools, including managing the Sales team’s CRM, making sure data is clean and up to date, and training staff to use the system.
    • Generate Sales reports and dashboards for sales reps, sales leadership, internal stakeholders and partners. 
    • Lead analysis needed to inform sales strategy, territory design, forecasts, target setting and sales compensation, as needed throughout the course of the year. 
    • Monitor and evaluate Sales performance and equip leadership with insights to coach and mentor sellers.
    • Identify data trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations that drive revenue.
    • Track conversion rates though each stage of the funnel, analyzing pertinent data to make sound recommendations for how to improve the funnel’s performance and optimize the sales process.
    • Work directly with the sales teams on prospective deals to ensure accurate bids, production timelines and schedules, and production approach.
    • Develop operational processes in terms of resource requests / staffing from additional departments to support sales leads / pitching 
    • Organizing and fully understanding the needs of all sales revenue channels (Corporate, Association & Higher education)
    • Creating resources that allow sales team to focus on pitching (research and data requests) 


    What we need from you:


    • 2+ years related experience within a B2B Sales Operations role
    • Experience working with large and unstructured data sets
    • Experience with CRM tools (Pipedrive an asset)
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to translate data into insights and business recommendations
    • Ability to maintain a solution-oriented focus and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
