Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing data platform team. You will be a skilled and experienced engineer who will help us develop and maintain data architectures and processing solutions that power our data scientists, BI analytics and many other internal data consumers. One major role of the team is to prepare and maintain self-serve data infrastructure, and ensure data availability, security and scalability. Another one is to build and maintain pipelines for integrating internal and third-party data while ensuring high data integrity and quality. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with plenty of interaction with other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, maintain and manage the data platform components
  • Create, maintain and monitor pipelines for regular data processing while ensuring data reliability, quality and efficiency
  • Maintain data serving layer, manage permissions and automate processes around data catalog
  • Design, build and deliver underlying cloud infrastructure
  • Manage cross-functional requirements working with data scientists, data engineers, DevOps, architects, developers, QA and other parties
  • Collaborate to bring new features and services into production
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) - creating multiple pipelines and activities using Azure for full and incremental data loads into Azure Data Lake Store
  • Experience in Databricks - creating notebooks, developing integration code in Python/PySpark, working with delta tables (Delta Lakehouse), managing Databricks SQL endpoints
  • Expertise with SQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and DataMart structures (star, snowflake schemas, etc.)
  • Experience in Azure storage solution, particularly Azure Data Lake Storage and working with Parquet files and partitions
  • Experience in the creation & configuration of Azure resources & RBAC
  • Experience with Azure DevOps / Git
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology, Information Systems
  • Azure Data Engineer certification would be desired
  • Proficiency in English

What you will do:

Product Planning

  • Manage the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

  • Track record of successful business case development, vendor selection processes and change management/implementation planning builds

Build for the future

  • Building landing pages that are responsive, accessible and perform well on all devices using modern languages and frameworks. 
  • Creating reusable components with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for use across marketing properties. 
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture 
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design 
  • Wordpress expert as well as commonly used CMS systems 
  • Work with marketing team to ideate software solutions 
  • Write effective APIs 
  • Create security and data protection settings 
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design 

Optimise for scalability  

  • Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability. 
  • Collaborating with the designers and market managers to ensure the best possible user experience. 
  • Collaborating with our SEO specialists to ensure that best practices are applied across different pages to maximise our search engine visibility. 
  • Supporting the implementation of our growth experiments, including A/B Testing. 
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications 
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency 
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software 
  • Write technical documentation 
  • Work with data performance and market managers to improve the stack 

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of modern HTML, XML, jQuery,  and CSS. 
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. PHP and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js) 
  • Extensive experience building websites and landing pages that work elegantly across commonly used browsers utilizing modern frameworks such as React.JS and Vue.Js.

Job Description

  • You are responsible for the growth and activation of our communities as well as for the further development of our customer dialogue on our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube & Co.)

Your Mission

Your mission is to transform Jimdo marketing into a potent, insight led, automated, global marketing machine


Responsibilities

Brand & Content Marketing

• Lead the development and implementation of winning brand strategies and partnerships for Jimdo, ensuring they live through all customer touchpoints.

• Support the Product team in the development of compelling propositions and product features that are in line with the brand strategies and that help us stay ahead of the competition.

• Design, plan and create industry leading content, that is unique, locally relevant and delivers on both the brand as well as the commercial strategy.

Performance Marketing

• Work with the Exec team to define appropriate paid media budgets, ensuring spend is aligned to strategic and commercial goals.

• Manage the marketing budget, increasing transparency of planning and spend; and delivery of ROI to agreed budgeted targets, guaranteeing the spend is optimised across markets and channels.

• Run regular and frequent testing programmers on all performance marketing activities to improve optimization and ROI by channel. Ensure data and insight sit at the heart of all marketing decision making (e.g. Marketing Analytics, Data Science, and BI & Analytics teams).

• Develop strong relationships with key creative and media partners (e.g. Google), to ensure leading edge acquisition techniques are deployed.

Customer & Retention Marketing

• Develop and manage data driven marketing integration tools across CRM and site content management to increase customer value, retention and spend.

• Design, deliver and optimize an automated customer lifecycle management engine, that learns and adapts to the latest trends and behaviors and delivers

growth in customer KPIs.

• Provide daily and weekly segmented marketing analysis on the effectiveness of retention marketing activity.

• Focus on the customer: understand audiences and their behaviours along with a working knowledge of the customer journey and how performance marketing fits in at each stage. A deep understanding of attribution and data-driven creative messaging.

Campaign & Marketing Planning

• Plan the marketing calendar and lead the development of all key marketing campaigns across all products and markets, throughout the year

• Own and optimize the planning, briefing and execution process, across all teams (Commercial, Creative, Brand, Product, Performance and Retention) aiming to maximize cut through of our campaigns and full utilization of all our assets.

Marketing Strategy

• Develop and implement the marketing decision-making systems / tools /processes for industry leading insight capability for marketing and product

decisions (daily, weekly and monthly).

• Manage the customer experience program, including conversion and site optimization insight, driven by google analytics and other tools, to ensure the

customer experience team are developing clear product development requirements supported by data that will deliver ROI.

• Work closely with the Trading / BI & Analytics team to provide high quality reporting with insight and commentary to the Executive team.

• Strengthen our strategic planning, by creating clarity and rigor on customer, market and competitors’ insights.

Leadership

• Collaborate with central teams and help drive company-wide initiatives, including participation in workstreams, best practice, innovation, talent development and knowledge sharing.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive team. Evangelise digital and brand marketing and data driven decision making, providing insight and context. Use

your expertise to build the knowledge and capability of fellow marketers.

• Lead, structure and develop a team providing development, coaching, goal setting and performance management. Ensure the team is motivated, productive and fully compliant with all regulations and legislation.

Requirements

• A number of years' experience successfully leading marketing teams and managing extensive budgets, within the DACH region.
