Job Description

This is a full-time work from home position where you will get to observe a wide variety of properties, businesses, and operations through the lens of the insurance carrier. Our self-driven Field Representatives work independently to effectively plan, schedule and complete work assignments, evaluating commercial properties and businesses for drivers of risk and loss relevant to insurance underwriting, pricing and loss control. 
•    Perform on-site insurance surveys and interviews by appointment and create reports used to evaluate risk for multiple lines of coverage. You are the eyes and ears of our customers, identifying construction materials, business operations, fire protection systems such as fire sprinkler systems, safety measures, and other information pertaining to underwriting and loss control. 
•    Professionally represent customers and ISO in person, via phone and in written correspondence.   
•    Use your eye for detail and excellent communication skills to recognize unique customer needs and convey property conditions to the customer. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred and one year of related experience; specific field of study not required, but may include Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, Safety. 
•    Ideal candidates have prior experience in insurance loss control, underwriting or claims; commercial building construction or inspections; fire safety and industrial safety occupations. 
•    Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate facts clearly, verbally and written, and provide feedback. Ability to write concise and informative reports to quality standards. 
•    Strong proficiency for technology, laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite and mobile applications.
•    Ability to observe onsite conditions, examine, measure, analyze, map, gather data, and travel to and from all sites. Job may involve occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs., regular climbing of stairs and ladders, working in all types of neighborhoods, environments and weather. Walking, standing and driving for extended time periods may be needed. 
•    Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies required.
•    Overnight travel (in and out of state) required in accordance with business needs.  
•    Ability to assimilate and learn new material through classroom, exercises and on-the-job field training. 
•    Professional designations (e.g., CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA and/or CPCU) are desirable.

Job Description

If you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in the field and meeting people, then we have a position for you as a BCEGS Field Representative.
ISO’s Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule (BCEGS®) assesses the building codes in effect in a particular community and how the community enforces its building codes, with special emphasis on mitigation of losses from natural hazards.

Your major responsibilities will involve:
Consults with clients to conduct, analyze and document results of communities’
adoption of building and other construction codes and amendments, building plan
review, policies and procedures and building department operations, staffing,
training, workload and staff certification. Manages verifications in the office and in
the field and plans trips to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely completion of
work. Maintains corporate standards of quality, timeliness, productivity and
customer service.

•    Preparing a comprehensive report via a computer program on the results of the study.
•    Preparing appropriate reports in accordance with established standards.
•    Planning trips to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely completion of work.
•    Representing ISO at meetings involving community officials.
•    Maintaining corporate standards of quality, timeliness and customer service.
•    Reporting other information as directed, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess some of the following knowledge and skills, and/or experience:
•    Field experience in performing surveys involving detailed analyses.
•    Knowledge of building codes, building department operations and building construction is preferred.
•    College degree in a technical discipline is preferred but not required.
•    Excellent customer service, math, and verbal/written communication skills are essential.
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
•    Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic and able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
•    Valid driver’s license and overnight travel.
•    This position requires a valid driver’s license and some overnight travel, and you will work from your home office to complete all work assignments.

·    Completes verifications in the office and in the field and plans trips to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely completion of work.
·    Conducts studies to determine complex and moderately complex community hazard mitigation gradings as assigned and prepares appropriate reports in accordance with corporate standards.
·    May assist in coordinating meetings with local officials in small group and/or workshop formats and may offer information or advice as requested.
·    Provides customer support for Verisk products through on-site visits as needed.
·    May serve as a mentor and trainer to less experienced staff as needed.
·    Maintains corporate standards of quality, timeliness, productivity and customer service.
·    Maintains CHM equipment and supplies in accordance with Verisk policies.
 

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess some of the following knowledge and skills, and/or experience: 
·    Bachelor’s degree/ life experience in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred and one year of experience in fire/property insurance, fire protection services or engineering. Field experience performing detailed analyses preferred.
·    Satisfactory completion of prescribed in-house training or equivalent required and demonstrated ability to perform all field work assignments at this grade level. 
·    Ability to observe, examine, measure, analyze, map, gather data, and describe all aspects of a community’s fire protection capability and safely operate a vehicle to and from all sites. This will involve occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. and regular climbing of stairs and ladders, working in all types of neighborhoods and environments. It may be necessary to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time. 
·    Good customer service and one-on-one interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback. Ability to conduct on-the-job training. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Your major responsibilities will involve conducting comprehensive studies of:
Consults with clients to conduct, analyze and document studies of communications resources and  procedures relating to dispatch of fire alarms; fire department equipment, staffing, training and geographic distribution; water supply networks, including hydraulic analysis of water system capability; and building information pertaining to PPC requirements.

·    Completes verifications in the office and in the field and plans trips to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely completion of work.
·    Conducts studies to determine complex and moderately complex community hazard mitigation gradings as assigned and prepares appropriate reports in accordance with corporate standards.
·    May assist in coordinating meetings with local officials in small group and/or workshop formats and may offer information or advice as requested.
·    Provides customer support for Verisk products through on-site visits as needed.
·    May serve as a mentor and trainer to less experienced staff as needed.
·    Maintains corporate standards of quality, timeliness, productivity and customer service.
·    Maintains CHM equipment and supplies in accordance with Verisk policies.
 

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess some of the following knowledge and skills, and/or experience: 
·    Bachelor’s degree/ life experience in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred and one year of experience in fire/property insurance, fire protection services or engineering. Field experience performing detailed analyses preferred.
·    Satisfactory completion of prescribed in-house training or equivalent required and demonstrated ability to perform all field work assignments at this grade level. 
·    Ability to observe, examine, measure, analyze, map, gather data, and describe all aspects of a community’s fire protection capability and safely operate a vehicle to and from all sites. This will involve occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. and regular climbing of stairs and ladders, working in all types of neighborhoods and environments. It may be necessary to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time. 
·    Good customer service and one-on-one interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback. Ability to conduct on-the-job training. Good verbal and written communication skills. 
·    Ability to conduct public speaking engagements on discipline to groups of all sizes. Adequate technical proficiency and communication skills to represent Verisk in trade group settings. 
·    Knowledge and experience resulting in demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications. 
·    Valid driver’s license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies. Overnight and/or air travel (in and out of state) may be required.

This is a full-time work from home position where you will get to observe a wide variety of properties, businesses, and operations through the lens of the insurance carrier. If you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in the field and meeting people, then we have a terrific position for you to conduct commercial property inspections in the Los Lunas, NM area.

Your major responsibilities will involve conducting comprehensive studies of:
Consults with clients to conduct, analyze and document studies of communications resources and  procedures relating to dispatch of fire alarms; fire department equipment, staffing, training and geographic distribution; water supply networks, including hydraulic analysis of water system capability; and building information pertaining to PPC requirements.

·    Completes verifications in the office and in the field and plans trips to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely completion of work.
·    Conducts studies to determine complex and moderately complex community hazard mitigation gradings as assigned and prepares appropriate reports in accordance with corporate standards.
·    May assist in coordinating meetings with local officials in small group and/or workshop formats and may offer information or advice as requested.
·    Provides customer support for Verisk products through on-site visits as needed.
·    May serve as a mentor and trainer to less experienced staff as needed.
·    Maintains corporate standards of quality, timeliness, productivity and customer service.
·    Maintains CHM equipment and supplies in accordance with Verisk policies.
 

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess some of the following knowledge and skills, and/or experience: 
·    Bachelor’s degree/ life experience in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred and one year of experience in fire/property insurance, fire protection services or engineering. Field experience performing detailed analyses preferred.
·    Satisfactory completion of prescribed in-house training or equivalent required and demonstrated ability to perform all field work assignments at this grade level. 
·    Ability to observe, examine, measure, analyze, map, gather data, and describe all aspects of a community’s fire protection capability and safely operate a vehicle to and from all sites. This will involve occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. and regular climbing of stairs and ladders, working in all types of neighborhoods and environments. It may be necessary to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time. 
·    Good customer service and one-on-one interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback. Ability to conduct on-the-job training. Good verbal and written communication skills. 
·    Ability to conduct public speaking engagements on discipline to groups of all sizes. Adequate technical proficiency and communication skills to represent Verisk in trade group settings. 
·    Knowledge and experience resulting in demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications. 
·    Valid driver’s license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies. Overnight and/or air travel (in and out of state) may be required.
