The company’s work has been recognised by HM Queen Elizabeth II and users rate Reincubate as one of the UK’s most-loved software companies (reincubate.com/about).

This role is remote, and fits working in UK hours: that’s GMT. The role is probably right for you if you’re curious and energised by building highly-polished products that just work, and would enjoy working at a values-led, remote, indie business. Here’s Aidan the CEO & founder talking about the role.

      You will:

      • Build and enhance robust, accessible functionality in our native C# desktop apps
      • Build new and delightful experiences for our users
      • Help evolve our tooling, architecture and development practices
      • Contribute to the product & design vision across the company

      We will:

      • Give you autonomy in your work, we trust you to solve hard problems well
      • Help you settle into your role, manage your responsibilities, and grow as a member of the team: progress comes through sustainable growth
      • Provide a space for you to share your opinions and ideas on any topic; integrity and openness are bedrocks of how we interact with one another and our users
      • Provide excellent benefits: competitive salary, 25 days’ paid vacation, flexible hours, remote work, stock options, healthcare, paid parental leave, matched pension 401(k), equipment, allowances for home-offices, remote work & professional development

You might suit this role if you:

        • Can pick up existing projects quickly and devise iterative improvements without major refactors.
        • Enjoy working as part of a small, focused team of individual contributors, and like taking ownership of projects from initial planning to release.
        • Wish there were more apps that felt 'just right'.
        • Have strong C# and WPF skills, with familiarity working with a great stack: git, Nunit, Azure, etc.
        • Have the ability and desire to learn, develop, and share new ideas, and implement those individually or as part of a team.
        • Have any experience Android (Kotlin) development — although it's not necessary
        • Have any experience working with audio, video, streaming, C++, or ML.

You’ll maximize your chances when applying if you:

Agile Six is hiring a Remote Data Scientist

Agile Six is a people-first, remote-work company that serves shoulder-to-shoulder with federal agencies to find innovative, human-centered solutions. We build better by putting people first. We are animated by our core values of Purpose, Wholeness, Trust, Self-Management and Inclusion. We deliver our solutions in autonomous teams of self-managed professionals (no managers here!) who genuinely care about each other and the work. We know that’s our company’s purpose – and that we can only achieve it by supporting a culture where people feel valued, self-managed, and love to come to work.

        The role

Agile Six is looking for aData Scientistto join a remote, cross functional agile team responsible for architecting and building a data platform to support a new Postal Service Health Benefits System. This role is pivotal in leveraging data-driven insights to shape the future of healthcare benefits, ensuring PSHBP stands as the most advanced health benefits system in the U.S. healthcare marketplace. Among other responsibilities, the person selected for this role will be responsible for analyzing data quality, supporting the delivery of the data platform, and developing and testing reports, dashboards, and analytics that drive business decisions.

We are posting this job in anticipation of a new project. Selected awardee of this contract is unknown at this time, however, we are proactively posting this job in anticipation of a possible award to Agile Six and a rapid start with a new project. As such, the responsibilities of this position may shift over time in response to the emerging needs of the project. With that consideration in mind, we are searching for someone dynamic, adaptable, and open minded who is passionate about data in many contexts. The successful candidate for this role is an excellent communicator, as well as someone who is curious about where data analysis, backend development, data engineering, and data science intersect.

        Responsibilities

        • Work as part of a distributed/remote agile cross-functional team to support the design, development, and implementation of a robust data platform
        • Conduct thorough data quality assessments to ensure the integrity and reliability of data within the PSHBP project
        • Develop and refine dynamic reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to enable informed decision-making and support the project's goals
        • Where applicable, apply advanced statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling to extract actionable insights from complex datasets
        • Communicate insights and findings to OPM stakeholders through a variety of media, including presentations, demonstrations, and written descriptions
        • Ensure all customer-facing features, including reports and dashboards, adhere to the highest standards of accessibility and usability, in line with our commitment to a human-centered approach
        • Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing to the team's continuous improvement and delivering high-value solutions to our federal agency partners
        • Foster an environment of knowledge sharing, providing insights and training to enhance the team's data literacy and analytical capabilities
        • Demonstrate the capacity to succeed in a remote work scenario, with the added communication challenges this poses
        • We expect the responsibilities of this position to shift and grow organically over time, in response to considerations such as the unique strengths and interests of the selected candidate and other team members and an evolving understanding of the delivery environment

        Basic qualifications

        • 7+ years of full-time experience as a Data Scientist or closely related role
        • Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics
        • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, and familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI
        • Experience with data modeling: defining the schema/structure of data sets and the relationships between data sets
        • Ability to prepare data for statistical modeling and an interest in building statistical and machine learning models
        • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in agile, cross-functional teams
        • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
        • Experience with Git and GitHub or other source control systems
        • Residence in and ability to work in the U.S. (unfortunately, we cannot support Visas at this time)
        • Ability to pass a U.S. Government background investigation

        Additional desired qualifications

        • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
        • Experience working with government agencies
        • U.S. Veteran
