OVERVIEW

As a Private Equity Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach, advise and inspire some of the brightest minds and future leaders in finance. In this role, you will serve as a lead facilitator for classroom training sessions, helping our clients develop the skills and insights they need to excel in their careers. You will also have the opportunity to develop your presentation and public speaking skills, to enhance your personal brand as a thought leader in the financial services space, and to expand your professional network.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience at a bulge bracket investment bank and at least two years of private equity firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead in-person or virtual training seminars to our investment bank, private equity and corporate clients
  • Lead in-person or virtual training seminats to our undergraduate business schools and MBA clients
  • Other responsibilities include: editing existing training materials, developing new course content, one-on-one tutoring sessions with students, and completing WSP's "Train-the-Trainer Program", a professional development program for new instructors. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2+ years of investment banking experience at a bulge bracket firm and 2+ additional years of experience at a private equity firm
  • MBA from a top business school preferred but not required
  • Passion for teaching finance/investment banking
  • Very strong accounting, financial modeling and Excel skills
  • Availability to conduct classroom training Monday through Friday and weekends as needed
    • Summer Months: Monday - Friday availability is highly desirable
    • Fall & Spring Semesters: Weekday and weekend availability is highly desirable
    • Ability to commit to approximately 40 days throughout the year 
    • Availablity to run week long or multi week programs is highly desirable 
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

The Real Estate Instructor will be our lead facilitator for real estate live classroom training sessions. You will be work with our students to develop the skills and insights that they will need to excel in their real estate careers. You will also have an opportunity to develop your presentation and public speaking skills, enhance your personal brand as a thought leader in the real estate space and to continue to expand your professional network across the financial services and real estate industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as lead facilitator of real estate classroom training sessions at undergraduate business and MBA programs, investment banks, and other corporate institutions
  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students
  • Complete the WSP Train-the-Trainer Program, a professional development program for new instructors

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least three years of experience in an investment bank real estate group or in a real estate focused private equity firm or other investment firm
  • Passion for teaching and in-depth knowledge of real estate finance and analysis
  • Strong accounting, financial modeling, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Desire to teach and share your real estate knowledge with motivated and talented students
  • MBA from a top business school preferred but not required
  • Availability to classroom training Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
  • Ability to commit to conducting a minimum of 10 days of classroom training per year
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

In this immersive educational experience, students engage in the user experience design process, developing the skills and portfolio of a junior practitioner. We are looking for instructors to lead this transformative experience through General Assembly’s User Experience Design Immersive course.  This role is a full-time, temporary position that includes a start and end date for this cohort. There may be potential to receive an additional assignment offering, but additional assignments are not guaranteed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of a 4-year degree

  • At least 2 years of practical experience within the last five years; 3 years preferred.

  • Practical experience does not include teaching experience.

  • Good moral character and strong decision making abilities

  • Language, mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills that assure teaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Teach and facilitate in class instruction Monday-Friday, approximately 8 hours per day, for the 10- 14 week duration of the program.

  • Instructors will need to commit a few hours per week preparing lessons and materials, leveraging existing GA curriculum content.

  • Work closely with co-instructors or teaching assistants to provide students with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.

  • Work alongside GA staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.

  • Guide students through development of a stellar final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers.

  • Facilitate a dynamic, collaborative, and positive classroom community.

  • Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning a new skill set


The anticipated compensation range for the full duration of this course in the US market is $23,000 and $27,000. Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 US benefit offerings for temporary full-time or part-time employment may include eligibility for dental and vision coverage. Available paid leave may include paid time off and holiday pay.
