Your Department

We run Open Telekom Cloud, a public cloud standard product based on open source community software and driven by principles of DevOps and with SRE in mind. This also includes DevSecOps and GitOps approaches. We have Software Developers, backend experts, fullstack engineers, SREs, and other roles working hand-in-hand. Lean structures, agile methods, highly motivated teams and an extremely dynamic business environment determine our actions. With this customer-oriented and agile orientation, we are the anchor point for the Public Cloud business in Deutsche Telekom Group.

Your Career

This role is client-facing and requires the Principal Consultant to lead and produce deliverables based on reactive services client engagements. The Principal Consultant will work directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders (Admins, C-Suite, etc) to manage incident response engagements and provide guidance on longer term remediation.

Your Impact

  • Perform reactive incident response functions including but not limited to - host-based analysis functions through investigating Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X systems to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
  • Examine firewall, web, database, and other log sources to identify evidence of malicious activity

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Saudi national required
  • 6+ years of incident response or digital forensics consulting experience with a passion for cyber security

What you’ll do

Meet the team 

Accurate and highly available information about the vehicle ego-motion and localization is central to ensure an adequate functioning of the virtual driver software of an autonomous truck. Core functionalities such as environment perception and prediction, as well as motion planning and control, strongly rely on this information to guarantee that the vehicle executes a collision-free driving plan. Accordingly, our ego-motion and localization modules are responsible for supplying reliable ego-motion and localization state estimates even in the presence of external disturbances, sensor imperfections, and system degradation.  

As part of the ego-motion estimation and localization team, you will be able to design, develop, and release sensor fusion algorithms for the real-time estimation of the vehicle pose, velocity and acceleration. You will also gain a deep understanding of not only self-driving technology, but also its real-world challenges and how to convert such technology into real products. 

What you will do: 

  • Execute full software development lifecycle activities using modern C++, including developing and releasing robust and reliable solutions to ego-motion estimation and localization problems 
  • Analyze and improve the current ego-motion estimation and localization algorithms, ensuring our self-driving vehicles have the best ego-motion and localization accuracy to drive safely and smoothly on the road 
  • Define software requirements, design software architecture, and develop robust verification strategies to guarantee the effective development and quality assurance of our software solutions 
  • Integration of software standards and safety requirements into the ego-motion estimation and localization software 
  • Collaborate with a creative team of engineers and researchers to solve multi-disciplinary problems 
  • Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, robotics, aerospace engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in C++ programming, as well as solid Python programming skills
  • 4+ years industry experience in robotics, software engineering or relevant PhD degree
  • Experience with inertial navigation, GNSS, statistical estimation or sensor fusion
  • Solid background in SLAM, visual odometry or computer vision

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team (2) of Cloud Operations specialists in US
  • Will be tasked with serving as the primary point of technical escalation contact
  • You will be responsible for being the point of contact for any operational escalations within the organisation.

Technical Abilities:

Duties of an Engineering Subject Matter Specialistmay include:

Your Daily Impact as a Security Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for working to tighten security controls, manage and tune existing security platforms and work to respond to threats while cutting out the noise.

Incident response, contextualizing vulnerabilities, and threat hunting are all parts of this role, but we’re keen to engineer scalable solutions and fixes, not just respond to existing threats.

Your Experience and Expertise

  • BS in computer science / cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, information security operations or related IT operations
  • Strong experience in Linux administration
  • Strong scripting experience. (Python preferred)
  • Substantial experience experience in threat hunting, offensive security, or platform security
  • Fair experience in AWS, GCP, or both
  • Good networking fundamentals

  • Demonstrating expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and agile methodologies.
  • Leveraging knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and network architecture/design to optimize support strategies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and JIRA Service Desk for documentation and issue tracking.
  • Experience with scripting languages and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for automation and optimization.
  • Producing technical documentation to document solutions, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and networking technologies like NSX-T.

Requirements:

  • Fundamental knowledge in IT, particularly in Windows and Linux systems administration.
  • Suitable clearances, including DV.
  • Networking experience and understanding of network architecture and design principles.
  • Ability to gather and comprehend customer requirements effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with diverse teams and suppliers.
  • Experience with VMware/virtualization technologies, including ESX and vCentre.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and maintain composure during critical incidents.
  • Proficiency in Ansible automation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
