About the Role: 

As a MarComm Intern, you will play a critical support role with responsibility for preparing and executing key marketing campaigns. A core focus will be learning and managing email, push and app channels helping maximize KPIs. In addition to execution, as a content marketer, you will help to build content and copy to support channel optimization, persona identification, segmentation and analytics via email and app. To achieve these goals, you will engage with varying members across the marketing department. 

The primary aim for this role is to help create relevant, customized and personalized content for our Sezzle consumers and merchants, to maximize revenue and engagement. In the process, you will also be looking for a variety of ways to increase traffic to Sezzle and our merchant partners. In addition, you will be responsible for some content marketing and strategy—elevating current holistic email campaigns, copywriting, email automation, merchant curation, data/analytics, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing email and marketing performance reports, analyze data and make recommendations on optimizing future campaigns.
  • Assist with day-to-day email production flow including, but not limited to, email design, email creation, quality assurance, deployment, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with copywriting and editing of highly engaging email and push notification content.
  • Assist with marketing communication builds within our CRM platform (Braze).
  • Assist with administrative organizing and tracking of go-to-market content schedules and results.
  • Assist client and sales teams with in-app promotional set up and reporting.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must. There are plenty of moving parts within this role.
  • Basic creative design skill and knowledge in Figma is preferred.
  • Experience in copywriting short and engaging messages.
  • Experience leveraging data inputs to create segments, design tests, execute reporting and provide insights.
  • Database marketing experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with email marketing is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Braze is preferred.
  • Additional experience working with push notifications, in-app push notifications, eCommerce or digital marketing is preferred.

Compensation

The compensation range for the role is $18 - 22 / hour. Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.

The Team

UserTesting’s Digital Marketing team includes content marketing and strategy, web authoring, webinars, and paid and organic search and social media. The team’s mission is to deliver cohesive digital content journeys that efficiently drive engagement and loyalty by educating our audiences and building credibility and trust. 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Marketing, as the Digital Marketing intern, you’re a motivated, energetic team player with a passion for writing, marketing, and driving results. As a bonus, you’ll have a strong interest in basic design principles and some basic HTML experience. 

During your internship, you’ll work with a team of content creators across written web content, paid and organic social media, video, and more to help the team audit, create, and optimize new and existing marketing content for a wide range of target audiences. The content you’ll create and collaborate on will cover a variety of topics within the user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) space, including UX/CX research and testing methods, best practices, tips and tricks, and step-by-step guides. 

Upon completion of your internship, you’ll not only have referenceable experience working on a fast-paced marketing team, you’ll also come away with publicly-available content to add to your portfolio, including published blog posts, a research presentation, and shareable clips and highlight reels you’ve curated from the content testing you’ll conduct during your internship. The Opportunity

The Product Marketing Intern will work closely with the Product Marketing Managers to build a deep understanding of our audience and the market we serve, then help create stories that connect our solutions to customer needs. This role partners with our Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to bring new products to market and deliver value to our customers. Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of coursework completed 
    • (Junior, Senior preferred)
  • Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with successful outbound prospecting is a plus
  • Related experience in payments or fintech or startups is a plus

Compensation

The compensation range for the role is $18 - $22/hour. Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive compensation outside of the posted ranges.
