In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain E2E data pipelines, backend ingestion and participate in the build of Samsara’s Data Platform to enable advanced automation and analytics.
  • Work with data from a variety of sources including but not limited to: CRM data, Product data, Marketing data, Order flow data, Support ticket volume data.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. Qualifications

You Have: 

  • Working knowledge and familiarity with network switches, load balancers, and firewalls
  • Experience with Linux systems (preferably Red Hat/CentOS based)
  • Experience solving toil and scaling problems with automation
  • Experience with ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, or Cassandra
  • Familiarity with data stores such as MySQL, Ceph, and Redis
  • Multi-cloud awareness with AWS and Google Cloud

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to understand software requirements and performance objectives.
  • Design and develop performance test plans, scripts, scenarios, and test data to assess software performance under various conditions.
  • Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and potential areas for optimization.
  • Work closely with developers and architects to provide recommendations for performance improvements based on test results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to performance engineering and quality assurance.
  • Develop strong performance test automation and enhance existing test framework; build new test framework as needed
  • Validate code changes against existing test suite; build new automated unit tests to validate features and defects
  • Debug and conduct root cause analysis as well as proactively analyze regressions; diagnose defects and provide detailed input to Development
  • Assess and provide valuable feedback on products/features
  • Document core server features performance behavior.
  • Be an active participant in product requirements, functional specification and design specification reviews
  • Be a customer advocate – identify feature enhancements and usability improvements that enhance the experience of a customer using MarkLogic products.
  • Possess good communication skills to interact with both local and remote teams effectively.

Required knowledge/skills: 

  • 3-6 years of experience working in a Performance (System & reliability testing) position on a Database Search Engine.
  • Strong debugging skills and interest in working on Server-side and REST APIs.
  • Strong programming experience in Java, JavaScript, and preferably in XQuery.
  • Working knowledge with UNIX and Shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience delivering test automation leveraging Agile process and CI/CD frameworks
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity with search technologies and prior experience working with search engines is a plus.
  • Knowledge of/experience working in an Enterprise Server environment is desirable, as is a working knowledge of groovy for creating and configuring Jenkins pipelines.
  • Enterprise-level databases experience (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and MySQL) is a plus. 
  • Experience/familiarity with XQuery is a plus.

About the Department

Cloudflare’s Enterprise Integrations Engineering Team builds and maintains integrations around a multitude of SaaS applications that are used in Cloudflare. We build scalable, resilient, efficient and fault tolerant integrations, enabling various cloud applications in Cloudflare to connect to each other and keeping data in sync between applications.. There are constantly multiple high profile initiatives going on, therefore the ability to context switch, communicate proactively and manage expectations is a key.

Description: 

The Enterprise Integrations Manager will drive and own the integrations portfolio for Cloudflare. We are looking for a manager with extensive integration experience who has built APIs and workflows. You will lead a team of integration engineers and will collaborate with other allied teams within the organization . You will drive integration strategy, best practices. Solution Design

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible positions in Information Technology including 5+ years’ experience in IT integration engineering and annual / quarterly roadmap development.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in all aspects of integration engineering and 3+ years experience working with agile methodology.
  • 3+ years’ management/supervisory experience
  • Proven expertise driving multi-year project roadmaps
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience managing geographically diverse, high-performance engineering teams.
  • Strong competency in project management and ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working with internal customers to develop solutions to complex business problems.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with functional and technical stakeholders to support business initiatives.
  • Experience building integration workflows with SasS applications such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Revpro, Stripe, Workday, Anaplan.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with Golang.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and authentication methods.
  • Exposure to Boomi iPaaS desired but not required.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
