About the Role

Our Networks team is looking for a new team member to join us. As a Network Engineer, you will apply your expertise, skills, and best practices to a team of skilled network professionals. You should be able to showcase your technical proficiency, determination, and methodical approach to ensuring the reliability and performance of the corporate network systems.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Administration and Monitoring of networking / security devices and telecommunication links
  • On-site and/or Remote participation in networking deployment activities
  • On-site and/or Remote troubleshooting
  • Create/ Revise project-related documents
  • Gain technical specialization on specific products/technologies/solutions
  • Participate in events for further education/development
  • On Call L3 support rotation

Technical requirements:

  • University/College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Network/Security equipment
  • Good understanding of network engineering concepts such as OSI layers, routing—both static and dynamic (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), switching, TCP/IP protocol, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, IP addressing and subnetting, NAT, DHCP, DNS, Network Security—firewalls, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN,  IPS, WAF and Load Balancers
  • Basic knowledge of Linux OS
  • CCNA or equal network & security certifications
  • Experience with administration of: 
  1. Cisco network devices - Routers, Switches, Nexus
  2. Cisco ASA, CheckPoint or FortiGate Firewalls
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal). Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation in English

Technical skills that will be considered as a plus:

  • CCNP or equal network & security certifications
  • Experience with administration of: 
  1. F5 Big IP LTM and/or F5 Big IP WAF
  2. ClearPass Access Policy Manager
  3. Aruba Central Wireless (Cloud WLC)
  4. AWS/Azure Cloud

You Will:

  • Implement and maintain network architecture emphasizing next-gen Cisco, Palo Alto, and AWS cloud networking solutions at Hims and Hers Health
  • Become a technical SME for any assigned project or task
  • Monitor all infrastructure systems to verify all are working correctly using DataDog
  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house information systems that support core organizational functions at Hims and Hers Health
  • Provide tier 3 support of any infrastructure pertaining to network operations or operational impact
  • Build and maintain SOPs, best practices, hardening documentation, and other internal reference documentation
  • Follow standards and best practices set in place by Security and Network leadership
  • Assist with development of Disaster Recovery play books and operational implementation
  • Maintain and execute an infrastructure systems backup plan
  • Perform technological audits (config and best practices) on a scheduled annual cadence
  • Proactively evaluate and implement security measures specific to Hims and Hers Health, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance
  • Maintain on-premises and remote connectivity for our Hybrid users by supporting ZTNA solutions, IPSec site-to-site connectivity, additionally mesh and/or hub and spoke SDWAN architecture
  • Expertise with Route & Switch, WLAN, DDI solutions, Out of Band Management, NAC, and Layer 7 firewalls

You Have:

About the Role (or What you'll do)

Cloudflare operates a large global network spanning hundreds of cities (data centers). You will join a team of talented network engineers who are building software solutions to improve network resilience and reduce operational toil.
This position will be responsible for the technical operation and engineering of the Cloudflare's core data center network, including the planning, installation and management of the hardware and software as well as the day-to-day operations of the network. The core network supports our critical internal needs such as databases, high volume logging, and internal application clusters. This is an opportunity to be part of the team that is building a high­-performance network that is accessible to any web property online.

You will build tools to automate operational tasks, streamline deployment processes and provide a platform for other engineering teams to build upon. You will nurture a passion for an “automate everything” approach that makes systems failure-resistant and ready-to-scale. Furthermore, you will be required to play a key role in system design and demonstrate the ability to bring an idea from design all the way to production.
