Job Description

As Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust and scalable data warehousing solutions. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building data solutions based on the business requirements. Data solutions may involve retrieval, transformation, storage, and delivery of the data. The Data Engineer must follow standards and implement best practices while writing code and provide production support for the enterprise data warehouse. Our ideal candidate is a skillful data wrangler who enjoys building data solutions from the ground up and optimizing their performance.

This full-time position reports to the Manager of Data Engineering and will work remote in Mexico City. To ensure sufficient overlap with functional and cross-functional team members globally, some flexibility with this role's regular work schedule will be required. Most of our teams have overlap with early morning and/or early evening PST. Specific scheduling needs for this role will be discussed in the initial interview.

What you’ll do:

  • Be accountable for building and maintaining the data infrastructure for the organization
  • Collaborate with systems analysts and cross functional partners to understand data requirements
  • Champion data warehouse, create denormalized data foundation layer and normalized data marts
  • Define strategies to capture all data sources and impact of business process changes on data coming from those sources  
  • Work on all aspects of the data warehouse/BI environment including architecture, design, development, automation, caching and performance tuning
  • Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources on Cloud leveraging SQL, data cloud platforms like Snowflake
  • Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
  • Continually explore new technologies like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Predictive Data Modeling

What you bring to the table:

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the data engineering field
  • Hands-on polyglot programming expertise
  • Proficiency in Multi cloud platform like Azure, AWS and/or GCP
  • Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) or equivalent ETL tool
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using diverse data sources including databases, APIs, external data providers, and streaming sources
  • Demonstrated history of designing efficient data models using Medallion Architecture
  • Deep understanding and experience with relational (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres and MySQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Experience building and supporting REST APIs for both inbound and outbound data workflow
  • Proficiency and solid grasp of distributed system concepts to design scalable and fault tolerant data architectures
  • Excellent critical thinking to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
  • Excellent analytic skills associated with working on structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
  • Ability to build and optimize data sets, ‘big data’ data pipelines and architectures
  • Ability to understand and tell the story embedded in the data at the core of our business

Our Stack

  • Infrastructure: Hybrid is a mix of on-premise infrastructure and public cloud, primarily Azure and Oracle cloud infrastructure (OCI).

  • Transactional data systems: Oracle ERP and EPM systems, including Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion, and SAP.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, science, engineering; or equivalent years of experience in IT, software engineering, or a relevant field.

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise data management and IT, IT consulting, or software product development

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in building, integrating, or driving enterprise-level data architecture with Oracle data products, including Oracle OCI, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Fusion.

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL and Python (or an equivalent programming language).

  • Experience in system architecture, including standard data system design patterns, basic UNIX/network fundamentals, and designing/building data systems in the Cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  • Good understanding of developing and managing SDLC workflow, DevOps, and CI/CD.

  • Self-driven with the ability to work in an ambiguous, multi-stakeholder.

  • Good analytical & problem-solving skills and the ability to incorporate multiple perspectives and constraints.

  • Manage collection functions on a daily basis including any customer billing concerns or requests
  • Ensure timely and accurate notices are sent to customers for aged balances
  • Review unique Customer scenarios to determine the best possible path for a quick resolution
  • Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Credit and Collections Senior Manager
  • Participate in audits as appropriate to ensure the audit coordinator has all required information
  • Contribute to the implementation of newly acquired companies in regards to banking, collections efforts, and allowance considerations
  • Analyze our allowance for bad debt on a monthly basis
  • Maintain and support Customer emails through our ticketing system

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Google Office Suite
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems (SAP, Oracle, Intacct)

About the role:As a key member of the Member Marketing Analytics and Insights team at Premise Health, the Analyst will report directly to the Director of Marketing Analytics and Insights. Essential Functions:   

  • Serve as a full-service, marketing analytics resource for the Member Marketing team. 
  • Understand business goals and objectives and capitalize on opportunities to leverage data to inform marketing strategy and business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define key performance indicators, and develop actionable insights to support marketing initiatives and decision-making processes.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and plans by providing data-driven insights and recommendations based on market and/or consumer/member research and analysis.
  • Analyze datasets to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights that drive business growth and optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Assist in the development of predictive models and advanced analytics techniques to forecast market trends, customer behavior, and business performance.
  • Work closely with external vendor partners and cross-functional team members to optimize the availability and utilization of marketing centric insights and campaign performance data.

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, marketing or business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, information technology, or a related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analytics (ideally in healthcare marketing), interpreting business questions and data, leading analytics efforts and delivering outcomes to various stakeholders; Epic or other EMR data experience a plus
  • Proven experience in data analysis, database management, data visualization and business intelligence tools, statistical modeling, analytic programming languages, web analytics tools, machine learning, A/B testing, CRM platforms, ETL process, API integration, and data privacy and compliance

Supply Chain Planner

  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of MRP Relevant Set-up in SAP.

  • Develop “buy quantities” at the item level based on demand forecasts, current inventory and safety stock position along with other market related factors. 
  • Actively manage exceptions of “over” and “under” forecast versus consumption
  • Prioritize inventory management activities utilizing and ABC raw materials stratification 
  • Manage total inventory at the raw material item level to budgets on a monthly basis
  • Support and manage production transitions at the raw material item level 
  • Support monthly Supply Planning meetings (S&OP) and discuss short-term and long-term gaps and mitigation plans 
  • Coordinate efforts with Logistics and Customer Service to ensure timely product deliveries 
  • Develop trend reports, weekly, month over month and year over year, by raw material category and class 
  • Prepare weekly and monthly key performance indicator reports
  • Appropriately highlight forecast issues and risks to manager
  • Develop and maintain strong system knowledge of company’s Oracle ERP, Ivalua Cloud applications 

Other Tasks

  • Attends required employee meetings.
  • Ensures compliance of food safety based on the standard requirement of 5S, HACCP/GMP & ISO.
  • Performs related work and other items that may be requested from time to time.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably from an Engineering or Accounting related course.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1 – 3 years experience in Inventory Management or in Manufacturing set-up, preferably in feed mill operation.
