POSITION SUMMARY:
The Specialist, Payroll reports to the VP, Payroll & Benefits, and is a member of the Human Resources team. Payroll responsibilities include compiling and entering employee information and payroll data, as well as processing payroll. This position processes confidential employee information, including compensation data and employee health records. This position is responsible for maintaining the payroll filing systems and will assist other department projects.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:
  • $21.20-$26.50 per hour based on relevent experience to the role. Full-time hours.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •          Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records
  •          Input, review, and audit timekeeping and other payroll related records
  •          Maintain time and attendance records
  •          Post changes in pay, tax status, and other miscellaneous categories
  •          Compute wage, overtime, and other types of pay
  •          Calculate and record payroll deductions (voluntary and involuntary)
  •          Respond to Garnishment inquiries
  •          Assist with Verification of Employment inquires
  •          Process advance, termination and other out-of-cycle payments
  •          Reconcile earnings and deduction totals
  •          Compile payroll data for management, auditors, and others
  •          Serve as back-up to other members of Payroll team
  •          Document procedures
  •          Assure that all employees receive timely responses to inquiries, questions, etc.
  •          Independently coordinate and communicate with all internal groups, hiring managers, and external parties (as required)
  •          Address and resolve problems in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

As Senior Payroll Specialist you ensure a timely and error free payroll for our customers - acting as the crucial link between Product and Operations. With your deep payroll experience and knowledge, you support the ongoing development of a best-in-class payroll for customers.   • You have an advanced understanding of the technical setup of payroll systems, you are able to identify and describe flaws and think about potential solutions
  • You are able to identify payroll implementation complexity and build milestones accordingly
  • You are service-oriented and provide a best-in-class payroll service incl. identifying issues blocking payroll and you are able to manually intervene as required to ensure a timely processing of customers payroll
  • You are able to visualize possible solutions using a variety of tools (eg. Miro, JIRA, Confluence)
  • You have very good German (C2 level)and English skills (verbally, written) and you are confident in cross-departmental collaboration as well as customer communication
  • You have a deep knowledge of Analysis of SLAs and identification of possible issues or improvements to drive timely responses/resolution of customer issues.
  • You are characterised by your proactive and independent way of working
