About the Role:
As one cornerstone of the modern ad-supported streaming business, our product captures the attention of people across the company. Our team's primary focus is on scaling our distributed systems to monetize our streaming content and accommodate an increasing number of concurrent users while maintaining high reliability and low latency. With our expertise and commitment to innovation, we strive to monetize the streaming content and provide a smooth and seamless viewing experience for our users. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Elixir-based distributed systems, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain high-performing, reliable, distributed, and scalable systems using Elixir
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code improving the throughput, latency, and reliability of our services
- Design and implement flexible yet straightforward APIs to be consumed by one of our 20+ platforms
- Participate in our on-call rotation and contribute to incident reviews
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Elixir and related technologies and frameworks and contribute to open source projects we sponsor like grpc-elixir
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing large scale distributed systems using Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Java, C++, or other related technologies and frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience with different database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL, Redis)
- Proven experience building near real time services that are high performing, scalable, and fault-tolerant
- Interest in learning Elixir if you don’t have experience writing production code with it
Bonus:
- Previous experience working in Adtech (streaming ads would be ideal)
- Experience working with video and/or streaming

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below.
