The Product Manager will help support our next stage of growth as we expand our corporate and government partnerships to diversify our reskilling and upskilling education product portfolios!     What you’ll be doing:

    Product Leadership & Stakeholder Management (30%)

    • Building and maintaining an understanding of the business line / portfolio strategy and proactively identifying and communicating data-driven learning product and market opportunities, improvements and insights for government
    • Acting as a key point of contact / advisor for assigned portfolios both internally and externally, with regards to learning needs, outcomes, strategies and solutions, while taking into account business needs, emerging trends and evolving learner (user) needs.
    • Championing a learner (user) focused approach (in addition to usability and accessibility) to learning and product design, to deepen and enhance outcomes and customer satisfaction; product management.
    • Collaborating with Learning Experience Manager, Admissions, Education Delivery, Career Services and Product Software stakeholders to ensure technology strategy supports learning needs for the assigned portfolio, and to ensure seamless integration of new learning solutions into internal and external learning systems and frameworks.


    Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution (30%)

    • Driving the product portfolio, business-planning and go-to-market process across cross-functional teams of the company.
    • Collaborating with Product Marketing Manager to analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from a portfolio ROI and build, borrow vs. buy product development perspective.
    • Driving the execution of all product lifecycle processes and collaborating across cross-functional teams on conducting customer research, customer journey mapping, education/learning research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
    • Creating and maintaining education product briefs that include business cases, technical and learning requirements, revenue and ROI.
    • Leading, maintaining and championing the assigned product roadmap with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with the Director of Product Management and Learning Experience Design Manager.


    Product Management & Analytics (40%)

    • Leading the management (oversight, tracking and communication) of product team portfolio maintenance activities (monitoring, corrective & risk-based) in partnership with other B2C product managers, Learning Experience Managers and other stakeholders for the portfolio.
    • Collecting, cleaning, analyzing and formulating actionable insights (in addition to maintenance requirements) for assigned product(s) / portfolio, that inform and refine the product strategy, go-to-market plan, and roadmap.
    • Reporting and communicating on assigned product KPIs to understand the user experience and/or requirements for product development. 

    What we need from you:

    • Proven previous experience (3+ years) as a Product Manager in the Tech industry (Training / Education / Education Technology; considered an asset).
    • Previous experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
    • Proven experience working as a product designer/developer or technical product owner.
    • Product/data analytics; experience collecting and cleaning data to conduct various forms of analysis; descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive, and data visualization/reporting on key product management KPIs.
    • Previous exposure / familiarity with software programming languages, frameworks etc is an asset.
    • Consultative communication and presentation skills.
    • Issue management skills; interpersonal skills, time management, decision making.
    • Problem solving skills; analysis of information (i.e., project design requirements, description of problems, etc.); providing others with alternatives to problems.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Tech and Software Savvy - experience with the G Suite, (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar etc.) Slack, highly preferred
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced and highly technical environment.

This role will work closely with the Senior Product Manager on improving the student experience.     • Supporting the Product Manager with the intake and triaging of product opportunities

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to operate within a team.

      Lighthouse Labs is hiring a Remote Product Operations Manager

      Lighthouse Labs is looking to welcome a new Product Operations Manager to a new team dedicated to helping employer partners maximize their ROI on entry-level tech hires (including LHL graduates). We are developing a new product suite that will help employers attract, onboard, develop, and retain these employees. Many components of this product suite involve deploying our in-house pool of mentors.  


      In this role, you will collaborate with the post-program support product lead to build an efficient system for delivering on the product strategy. You will work with our learning experience team, mentoring team, employer partners, and students to deliver holistic solutions that make employers and employees ecstatic about working with Lighthouse. Overall, as our Product Operations Manager, you are accountable for the successful delivery of the product experiments we wish to run (not the success of the experiments themselves, of course!).


      What you’ll be doing:

      • Helping to build and deliver products that are designed to help our recent grads (and other entry-level employees) shine at their new employers (and making those employers overjoyed that they hired them).   
      • Working with the product team to move initiatives from concept to reality through planning and managing projects, along with engaging cross-functional teams like marketing, learning experience, education delivery, technology, career services, and more. 
      • Creating robust infrastructure around research, experimentation, and analysis. 
      • Optimizing processes, tools, and reporting.
      • Building, monitoring, and analyzing feedback loops from employers, mentors, and students, to generate insights for the product and executive teams. 
      • Developing detailed documentation around policies and processes.  
      • Guiding product management efforts, like user research and interviews.


      What we need from you:

      • A proven track record of managing a variety of operational initiatives and translating strategic plans into reality. 
      • A geeky enthusiasm around building and iterating product management systems and stacks, including tools, analytics, and documentation. 
      • Experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating information to others to empower data-driven decision making
      • Amazing - AMAZING - communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
      • Unparalleled attention to detail and deeply caring about “getting things right.” 
      • Comfort with ambiguity and a desire to define and support the right balance between process and flexibility (and a desire to move the needle in the right direction).
      • Ability to balance day-to-day execution with strategy and systems thinking.
      • A general “can-do” attitude that relishes the flexibility you’ll have as the needs of the team and this role evolve
      • Tech savviness - experience with the G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar etc.), Slack, and Discord highly preferred. Experience with project management software is also preferred. 
      • Experience in the recruiting industry/function is a plus. Experience in the education industry is also a plus. 
      • An interest in building the future of Canada’s ICT industry, including improving the opportunities of equity-deserving groups.
