The primary focus for the Senior Frontend Engineer will be to maintain and build our front end app suite. The Senior Frontend Engineer will work in a highly collaborative team within the Product & Engineering vertical building software of the highest quality, and develop deep understanding of our technical products. 

What will you do as a Senior Frontend Engineer? 

  • Work closely with Product to spec out the technical aspects of a feature from inception through delivery 
  • Strategize with key stakeholders on developing key business metrics, planning, and prioritization 
  • Own front end feature development, ensuring tracking/analytics are instrumented and your work meets the agreed upon acceptance criteria 
  • Continuously improve existing codebases, identifying key opportunities for refactoring and performance improvement  
  • Write acceptance, integration and unit tests 
  • Create lasting architecture for current and future applications 
  • Help create engineering leaders by mentoring other engineers of all levels 
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers to influence architecture for current and future APIs 

What do you have as a Senior Frontend Engineer? 

  • Experience with high traffic public facing websites 
  • Extensive experience with TypeScript 
  • Strong knowledge of ReactJS 
  • Strong knowledge of Redux/React Context API/Hooks 
  • Exceptional knowledge of front end technologies including HTML/CSS
  • Significant experience working with API service-based architectures and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Redux/React Router/React Context API/Hooks 
  • Experience writing tests at various layers and various JS testing strategies
  • Experience developing responsive web applications 
  • Experience with building, deploying and operating technical components of sizable complexity. 
  • Track record of leading and creating environments where engineers produce their best work 

Nice to haves: 

  • Experience architecting micro-frontends
  • ReactJS testing (Jest/react-testing-library) 
  • Experience with React Native library 
  • Experience working remotely 
  • Experience investigating data bugs throughout the stack

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS 

  • Lead high-impact and large-scale technical projects across product areas
  • Provide technical leadership over a larger, multi-team domain in the organization, specifically around secure design and architecture, and active participation in implementation of such
  • Continuously raise the bar for secure-design at Personio by role modeling and mentoring engineers across the business, interviewing and hiring new talent
  • Proactively seek out new areas/common problems to be tackled by the Security Org and kick off relevant initiatives for improvement
  • Ownership and support for projects with high complexity, scope, uncertainty and duration across multiple quarters
  • Reducing the security problem scope from a global challenge to localized problems that can be addressed by Tech Leads and teams in their areas of expertise
  • As a technical leader, strive to support our technical brand and positively impact the larger community (by open sourcing work, blogging or speaking at conferences on behalf of Personio and beyond)
  • Technical leadership across the org to define not just what our security needs are today, but what we should be doing tomorrow and how to get there

To support its growth, Skipr is looking for a full stack developer in Golang and React for the Banking tech team. Engineering at Skipr

At Skipr, we have two pluridisciplinary teams operating independently yet collaboratively, ensuring that each facet of our platform receives dedicated expertise and attention, ultimately delivering the best possible experience to our users.

Regarding our backend, it is structured around microservices in a kubernetes cluster on GCP, using Golang, PostgreSQL, gRPC, go-micro, Google Pub/Sub and many others.

Our client applications are written in React, Next.JS, Typescript, Capacitor and connect safely to our backend using OpenAPI specifications.

Banking Team

The Banking Team at Skipr operates as an autonomous unit, entirely responsible for the stability, security, and reliability of the financial services that form the bedrock of our platform. This team is dedicated to designing and maintaining secure transaction processes, seamless payment solutions, and accurate financial data management. By ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity, the Banking Team contributes directly to the trust and confidence our users have in our platform.

Customer Team

Similarly structured, the Customer Team is committed to maximizing the value our users derive from the Skipr platform. With a deep understanding of user behavior and needs, this team employs insights to optimize platform features, enhance user engagement, and customize the mobility experience. Main tasks of the full stack developer in Golang and React

  • Back-end Development: Develop and maintain the back-end infrastructure in Golang, with a strong emphasis on ensuring high reliability, uptime, and data integrity for our banking system.
