  • Progressive growth and experience across various areas of solution engineering, systems administration, infrastructure management, networking, devops, and/or full stack development. Preferred total experience 15+ years with 3+ years minimum leadership experience.
  • Hands-on technical experience in the areas of Cloud Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management or Technical Consulting focused in the areas of implementing core infrastructure, networking and cloud based services for the SMB and MM businesses. Preferred experience 7+ years with proven success.
  • Experience coaching, managing, and developing a team of customer facing architects and engineers.
  • Expert knowledge in the following:
    • Designing and implementing highly available and fault-tolerant cloud applications.
    • Cloud-native approach to architecture/deployment including microservices, containerization, orchestration, kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps methodologies/tools.
    • Public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, etc.); including their core products/services as well as customer segments and use cases.
    • Best Practices on planning, project management and executing migrations to and from cloud providers.

Param Solutions is hiring a Remote Technical/Solutions Architect

Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Our client is looking for Technical Architect as SMEs to provide coordination of development efforts in a complex environment, ensuring that the timing of development efforts is fully synchronized.

  • Provide coordination of development efforts across the program offices.
  • Provide analysis of the Program’s source code to ensure no negative impact to other applications, common or shared interfaces, and/ or systems.
  • Capable of reviewing documentation to identify gaps and issues associated with system design, architecture or integration and migrations strategies.
  • Report any negative impact identified in the Program’s source code to the Government lead and task order COR.
  • Responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of portfolio applications
  • Assists in defining system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
  • Works with Enterprise Architecture team and assists in development of policies for standardizing systems, development tools, and security practices.
  • Assists in defining and executing established technology insertions and cloud migration strategy at the portfolio level.
  • Provides expertise and guidance for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of IT solutions that enhance overall system performance and availability.
  • Provide high-level functional systems analysis, design, and advice that result in timely and effective implementations.
  • Lead migration of legacy applications to containerized solutions such as Openshift, Kubernetes, EKS, Konvoy
  • Architecting and deploying cloud-native applications onto Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar Identifying requirements, researching options, designing, and implementing solutions at a leadership level for the application.
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments.

Required Skills and experience include:

  • 12-15 Years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise level systems Extensive understanding and experience programming and designing software using Java, J2EE, Angular, ReactJS, Spring MVC, JQuery, JSF, JSP, MyBatis, Hibernate, IBM MQ, Kafka, ELK, PLSQL, Oracle, WebLogic, Tomcat and AWS cloud services.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions on a large Program Demonstrated experience designing and modernizing complex enterprise networks and legacy IT systems, including developing effective COOP/DR solutions
  • Hands-on experience on design, development, and testing of functional modules in Java, J2EE technologies and design patterns, and databases
  • Use and customize source code analysis tools, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses and determining the suitability for a given software/customer environment, coordinate development efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux and Windows Servers
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell and Linux (bash, tcsh, csh)
  • Experience in planning, deploying, and maintaining VMware vSphere environments.
  • Experience in Oracle DB, JDBC, working knowledge of JPA (Hibernate)
  • Working knowledge with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and frameworks (dojo, jQuery, YUI)
  • Experience with application servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat
  • Familiarity with using DevSecOps and Cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on Federal Grant systems and/or operations
  • Experience with Agile methodology such as Scrum
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret requirements and corresponding flows to develop code.
  • Ability to articulate technical viewpoints to team members and clients.
  • Must be a self-starter/self-reliant to define strategies and work collaboratively to harden/publish strategies.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and deliver high quality products and customer services.
  • Working experience in a large complex enterprise.

The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect you will be acting as the primary point of technical expertise for the MariaDB Landscape of Solutions. Traveling with a partner Account Executive and servicing strategic MariaDB customers and potential customers you will act as the expert voice of MariaDB in the field. This job will require a strong attention to detail, great time management and organizational skills and a desire to help our customers grow.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical subject matter expert for the MariaDB Field Sales team
  • Engage in technical selling focusing on customers adopting MariaDB Technologies
  • Demonstrate ownership of your personal book of business acting as an equal partner with your sales counterparts
  • Help design, manage, test, and report on customer Proof of Concept efforts
  • Assist in troubleshooting, designing feature enhancements, and setting product development direction interacting directly with customers, sales, and product development teams.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high quality services
  • Communicate with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure continued customer satisfaction
  • Be ready to lead within the internal MariaDB ecosystem taking on specialized roles and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Enterprise Database Systems, MariaDB or MySQL and alike technologies desired, Certifications are a plus
  • Previous experience in presales (5+ Years) of Data Focused Technologies
  • Knowledge of database design, administration, and architecture
  • Public Cloud Expertise, Cloud Database Technologies (RDS, Aurora, CloudSQL) desired
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Containerization such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Very strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Regular travel, occasionally internationally

Job Description

This is a hands-on role. We are looking for a technical consultant to guide new customers from contract signature to deploying a fully functional app through training and adoption. 

A strong candidate will be proactive about problem-solving, curious, unafraid to ask questions and seek out answers while thriving in a rapidly changing environment. Flexible working schedule as you interface with the US & India Appify teams and customers based out of the US and EMEA.  This is not a typical 9-5 working schedule and may include some weekend support.

  • Your primary job is to configure the Appify Platform to build out apps for customers using the Appify Platform. This is a multi-faceted role and you will be involved in a variety of functions.

  • You will be a combo of Solution Architect & Consultant. Understand customer requirements and provide guidance to customers on the best way to leverage the platform.

  • You will author  Project Technical Solution Architecture documents that define the agreed solution architecture for a project including scope, interface design, impacted components, risks, and necessary trade-offs including finding areas for re-use
  • Provide training and ongoing customer support.  Capture customer feedback, log customer issues and help troubleshoot problems.

  • Presents technical issues to technical governance boards when required for project decisions and communicates those decisions to impacted teams
  • You will work closely with the product and engineering teams in testing new features before they come out to the market and help groom customer feedback into the future product roadmap.

  • Recommends and implements operational improvements to meet SLA's and increase overall efficiency

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of consulting or customer-facing experience in an enterprise B2B, cloud software organization. You have a track record of successful delivery of customer projects, preferably enterprise CRM implementations

  • Enterprise Admin CRM experience such as Salesforce, Oracle, etc. Not just using those tools. 

  • 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Azure/AWS Cloud Architecture
  • Experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented roles
  • Must have hands-on technical experience with configuration, building complex data models, and process modeling. This is a big part of the role. 

  • A self-starter. Someone who takes initiative, ownership of projects. Delivers efficiently and aggressively against timelines.

  • Bonus if you have experience with Field Service Management processes in at least one of our industry sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, telecom, construction.

  • Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as well as leading a white-board discussion with customers or delivering a functional demo.
