In collaboration with Cloud Engineering & Operations organization and related engineering leads you will provide technical lea to build and implement a strategy to transition global infrastructure services (on-prem and cloud) to self-service cloud delivery models.

This role help to build Self-Service Platform to deliver compute and storage, virtualization, backup, infrastructure as code and automation platforms.  The scope of influence also includes self-service delivery of observability, database, security tools, vulnerability management, and CI-CD. 

You will partner with peer organizations such as cloud operations, SRE, private cloud delivery, developer platform, and data strategy to deliver an easy to use, secure, self-service approach of cloud engineering and operations to our business and regional partners. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with teams in an agile environment to design, develop, and test Self-Service Private Cloud infrastructure delivery platforms using modern cloud delivery concepts.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design and implement secure private cloud infrastructure for multiple Experian application environments.
  • Identify and deploy cloud services that meet specific technical requirements.
  • Partner with business teams to define technical requirements for modernization of legacy applications and systems and conversion to infrastructure as code deployment models (CICD Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Collaborate with rest of Experian IT Services and Global Security Office teams to ensure corporate policies and security requirements are implemented and followed for all cloud services
  • Serve as the most senior technical expert on cloud deployed products and infrastructure within the corporate Private Cloud Infrastructure and conversion from legacy traditional infrastructure architecture
  • Leads the design, development, implementation and support of on-prem infrastructure, including compute, storage, backup, network, virtualization technologies, physical and virtual servers.
  • Design, develop, and deploy containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Create and maintain scalable cloud native architecture, deployable on all major public cloud providers(AWS, Azure, GCP) and Experian Internal Private Cloud Solution (GreenLake)
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Mentor and set the example for team members to foster a mindset of continuous improvement, professional development, and organizational engagement
  • Perform software engineering activities, including addition of innovative functionalities to the Self Service Platforms product suite, including security standards, troubleshooting, regular maintenance, root cause analysis, issue resolutions, continual improvement of engineering best practices
  • Provide technical expertise and input into our overall cloud architecture, planning, and designs according to best practices
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on requirement definitions, process, and workflow

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in implementing deploying and managing systems and applications in cloud service providers (Azure, GCP, AWS preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in architecting scalable Cloud solutions including compute, storage, databases, and networking
  • 10+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and supporting large scale on-prem compute, storage, backup and network infrastructure, including physical servers and VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Strong background in Linux OS support (RHEL and SUSE)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of taking conceptual requirements and designing them in the cloud, including systems, servers, appliances, network components, and security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various cloud security solutions, including identity and access management, firewalls, web application firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, proxies.
  • Strong experience in containerizing and deploying applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Cloud technologies
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation, such as Terraform or CloudFormation and Ansible
  • Experience implementing Security Policies as Code levering OPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FinOps best practices - building cost estimates for cloud resources based on requirements and tuning cloud infrastructure to optimize performance and cost
  • Solid knowledge of the SDLC and experience working in an Agile-Scrum development environment. Experience working with a remote Agile team
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud services
  • Strong knowledge of the different service models offered in the cloud (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and FaaS)
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

  • Solid understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning
  • Solid understanding of a Container based solutions using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and similar products.

 

  • Outstanding communicator and writing skills a must with the ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes.
  • Solid understanding of Application and/or Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability
  • Develop automation and repeatable processes/scripts to enable solutions that deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor Client applications is a plus
  • Solid understanding of solutions using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, GoCD, Jenkins, TFS and similar products. 
  • Solid understanding of PaaS concepts and implementations such as CloudFoundry, Kubernetes/OpenShift, or similar offerings.
     
  • Development experience with JavaScript and web development frameworks React and/or Angular.

Stitch Fix is hiring a Remote Principal (IR) Cyber Security Incident Response Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a CLOUD 1st environment.  Stitch Fix is looking for a Principal IR Engineer to help with security initiatives, Incident Response and implementing best practices in the areas of infrastructure, network security, and cloud environments, as well as compliance and policy.

The individual in this role will be part of the Security Team and work closely with the various Platform and Development teams. The candidate should have strong experience with Incident Response, container technologies, and deployment and integration patterns in a production AWS environment. 

Our team members are given a great deal of autonomy in the pursuit of keeping Stitch Fix secure, and the successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills. They should be comfortable and productive, working independently, partnering with a larger, highly distributed engineering team.

We’re looking specifically for folks who emphasize usable security. Stitch Fix is a fast-growing company, and our security program needs to be able to keep pace with that growth while not disrupting innovation. 

REQUISITE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your skills are broad - building, deploying, and maintaining security services in an organization, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert for cloud security throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Minimum 10 years in Security, preferably in an Incident Response role or similar “first responder” role (Trust and Safety, Fraud, Account Protection, etc) 
  • AWS Experience is a MUST
  • Demonstrated experience with analysis, leading, and documenting Security Incidents 
  • Demonstrated experience with cyber security incident lifecycle acting as an incident commander
  • Demonstrated experience with common logging software (Splunk, SumoLogic, Datadog or similar) at proficient to expert level 
  • Demonstrated experience with EDR solutions (Crowdstrike, etc) at proficient to expert level 
  • Understanding of common adversarial tools and techniques and IOCs (Indicators of Compromise) 
  • Familiarity with APT groups and TTPS 
  • Demonstrated capability to follow and drive response outcomes
  • Strong ability to be calm “under fire” and drive solutions in a time-sensitive environment when under stress or urgency
  • Strong written communication skills when completing post-mortems
  • Ability to partner and demonstrate soft skills to influence outside of the Security organization and encourage cooperation and resolution during security events
  • Strong experience with AWS security services (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, etc.)
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Capable of working with common CI/CD technologies
  • Knowledge of common development practices and tools
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Have proficient expertise with scripting languages e.g python etc.. 
  • Minimum of 6 years supporting production AWS environments

Compensation and Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. Salary Range
$234,000—$250,000 USD

About the team

Cloudflare is redefining the way networks are run at scale. About the role

We are hiring an experienced devops engineer to help support and supplement development processes and operations efforts across multiple engineering teams within the Network Services department. Some of the responsibilities of the role includes: 

 

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of software applications in a SaaS environment
  • Work with developer teams to build / maintain tooling for developer environments
  • Write applications, tools, and scripts to improve build system performance
  • Build frameworks to improve quality-of-life of writing test automation.
  • Monitor system performance for internal services, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure to meet performance and reliability targets

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. There are multiple levels open on the team, both mid & senior level.

  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $196,000 - $240,000
  • For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $187,000 - $229,000.
  • For Colorado-basedhires: Estimated annual salary of $168,000 - $206,000.

Mid Level (3)

  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $162,000 - $198,000
  • For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $154,000 - $188,000
  • For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $137,000 - $167,000
